Gus' Indoor Dog Park and Daycare

Called 4 times (over a span of a couple hours) until someone picked up. Called the first time.no answer. Called a second time.no answer, called a 3rd time and was hung up on. Called a 4th time and they finally picked up. Was looking forward to the indoor dog park that stated it was OPEN, however when I called in they had told me the indoor dog park was closed due to COVID and that they were only operating as a daycare which is totally fine. I just wish it had stated that online instead of me having to waste time and keep calling for an answer. The person on the phone was quick to hang up although I still had a couple more questions, all I said was "okay! " and they hung up.

I understand this is a small business and it can be hard to answer the phone but just from the phone call alone and the professionalism in the responses given to other negative reviews I will not be considering taking my pups here.

I absolutely love bringing my dog Willow here! Alana is fantastic not only with the dogs, but just a great person in general. I feel so comfortable and relaxed dropping my dog off knowing she’s getting the exercise and attention needed while I’m at work. If I could give a higher rating I would! I live in poco and work in Langley so it’s out of my way but I refuse to go anywhere else! If you don’t like it here, it says something about you not Gus’!

My dog Tata recently started going to Gus daycare. He really loves going to the daycare. I appreciate that Gus is close to my work place:)

Our dog LOVES going to Gus'. Alana is great to deal with. She gives a great breakdown of our dog's day every time we take him. I especially like how you can check out videos that she posts twice a day on her Facebook page. I don't normally write a lot of reviews but when you find a place this great you take the time to write about it.

Nice space and very caring staff. I feel safe leaving my dog there and she's always happy when I pick her up.

Awesome place to bring your dog if you need a doggysitter or if you just want a nice dry place to bring your dog to have fun with other dogs. Reasonably priced and friendly staff. Conveniently located in New Westminster. Large indoor turf area for dogs to play and have fun.

Alana (the owner) is amazing and super sweet (EVEN on the phone). I wouldn’t trust anyone but her with my pups! My pups go to daycare and have also boarded with her. She is really good about giving updates (uploads photos and videos to Facebook twice a day) and when your pup is boarding with her she gives you a summary of their day along with photos! Love her, Gus (the mascot) and her doggy daycare!

Since I'm unable to reply to your comment, I'd like to first start by saying just because someone isn't a potential client, doesn't mean you need to be disrespectful by hanging up on them just because you're not getting money from them.

I wrote this review because you're rude, and I would love to know what kind of character is looking after my dog so I'm sharing with others. We're all busy, doesn't mean you can't have common courtesy and better manners than a five year old.

I just moved from there to Alberta and my phone gave me options in BC. Simple as that. I was kind to you and you were rude, therefore my comment will stand.

Brought our dog Bandit here yesterday for the first time for the indoor dog park and he LOVED it! Alanna, Gus & her team are kind, welcoming and to the point. All the rules are reasonable and I love that Bandit can play and just be himself without having to constantly worry about little dogs being offended or scared of him. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be coming back again! Bandit was exhausted but so so happy. Alanna is amazing with the dogs - so patient, loving and strict when needed. I can’t say enough good things about Gus’! Oh! And Gus is a total treat, he’s such a sweetheart of a pup as well! Can’t wait to bring Bandit back for more fun!

This is for me the best doggy daycare in New Westminster, aside being a doggy daycare it's also an indoor dog park so one can socialized with other dog parents while watching their dog have fun when the weather is not friendly for your doggy. No need to set up an appointment, so less hassle when something came up and there's no one to look after your dog. The owners are very friendly, they know your dog's quirks and the doggy clients seems to love them back too.

Been taking our German Shepard here and boarding with the owner when we go on holiday for over two years and we wouldn’t think of taking him anywhere else. He is in such good hands and comes home completely exhausted! So lucky to have a doggy daycare this good for our! Picture below of a pooped Clyde after a long day at the office.

We have been loyal clients for over a year and can't imagine going elsewhere for better care.

This is the spot you want to take your dog to during those days where you want to stay in doors, they don't really have a breed restriction. I think. The owner, Alana is super friendly. Service is top notch, I just wished we lived closer. I highly recommend check this place out if you live near the area or are even stopping by near the area

My Peaches absolutely loves this place! At home we refer to it as the gym! She has learned so much in such a short time from the older dogs. Defiantly our favorite place to take her on rainy Vancouver days!

By far the best doggie daycare in the area. Gives you a total peace of mind when you can see the dogs interacting with each other inside.

We took our 6 month old Whoodle, Summit, for the first time today. It was absolutely pouring outside and there are never any dogs at the dog parks when the weather is miserable, so we gave this a try. We are definitely coming back! Alanna and Oz were diligent in patrolling the ensuring the facilities stayed clean. Yes, there is a "dog" smell, but what do you expect; dogs are doing their business indoors on drained AstroTurf and this smelled just as any dog parks do, if not cleaner. People and dogs were friendly. Will definitely recommend to other dog owners!

After a long search for a place to leave my young dog for the day I was happy to find this local joint with great reviews and excellent service. Reading the reviews it seemed the only negative ones were from people who never brought their dog here, and the dog lovers in my building swear by this place.

Couldn't be happier to bring my dog here to stretch her legs when it's raining or enjoy a day out of the house when I need to work in the office.

This place is awesome. Its big, its open and does not smell strongly of urine. They clean the place daily and take very good care of all the dogs. My American Pitbull Terrier absolutely loves coming here and hes happy and tired when he comes home! Keep up the great work, Gus, Alana, and Oz!

This is our dog’s favourite place! Like Gus himself, our dog does not care much for the rain. This is the perfect place to take him when it’s raining out and we still want to take our dog for some fun at a dog park. There are usually many friends there for the doggo to play with and the humans can hang out and chat or play with the dogs too!

We’ve taken advantage of the daycare services too and always feel confident that Alana will take good care of our pup and will give us a candid report on how he did while visiting. We’ve noted that Alana is very good at learning about individual dogs’ quirks and personalities and adapting her care of them accordingly. She really takes a keen interest in each dog, and does her best to make sure everyone is safe and has a good time.

Gus is a lucky dog, and so is yours if you bring him or her here!
