The presentation is great. Food was super hot, never had a poutine like this. Not my favorite poutine (gravy was a bit too sweet for me) but super unique

This was my first visit, and unfortunately, due to the unfriendly staff, I have no intention of returning. The food was delicious, but the service was the worst I've experienced. It wasn't a busy time, and the restaurant wasn't crowded, yet the food took an excessively long time to arrive. Additionally, the sauce we ordered and paid for took quite a while to come out, so I inquired about it. The staff displayed a very rude attitude in response. It was the worst service I've ever received in Vancouver.

I usually do not write a bad review for Guu Restaurants, neither do I write a 1 star review at all. But this place was just a disappointment. The place itself is just sad, depressing, and the food itself was just not up to a Guu Restaurant standards at all.
I don't think it was the pandemic, because this place was packed full of people. It was a Saturday Night and all their tables were full. It was good I gave a call that morning to reserve a table of 5 for me and my friends.
We ordered tons of food. And their specials for that day, the pressed sushi, a salmon chirashi don, and their regular menu has everything sold out, literally asked for 6 off their regular menu and they were sold out.
Their specials were just really bad made too. Their pressed sushi had no sushi rice flavour, it was crispy, not the good crispy either. And their chirashi don was just okay at best.with the sliced fish breaking apart instead of the regular proper cuts. On top of that, asking for mackerel off their regular menu was sold out and their ebi mayo as well. All sold out for some reason as it being a regular item on their menu. On top of that, their hot plate fish piece was just filled with fries that you can get down the street. SIGH. As a person who LOVES Guu restaurant chains, this one really does NOT hit the standards.
I am so sadden by this experience and for sure will NOT come back. SIGH.

Food was really good but one server was so rude. He pointed out and CORRECTED the word my friend said. I didn’t know here was a SCHOOL, not restaurants. And they didn’t notice 2 hours only policy when we sit. Even though It took over 20 mins to get an appetizer, he told us last call 40 mins before we were supposed to leave. I’ve been here few times and mostly it was nice but NOT THIS TIME.

Came here with some friends yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff fast service and great food. The beef tongue was made very well. Soft and flavourful. The oysters very fresh and the sashimi very fresh as well. Overall great experience and would definitely come again soon.
