Bun Bo Hue (Spicy beef Noodle) hits the spot here. I haven't had it anywhere else in Burnaby since moving to the area but this place will be my go safe bet.

I don't want to drive to Vancouver just to have a bowl of BBH

My friend always orders the Hu tieu bo kho which is called Beef Noodle Stew Soup

Don't park in the front from 3-6 or else you'll get a ticket and towed.

They were at orchard mall down the road before. New location is smaller but we'll located across Metropolis mall. Great food. Good and fast service. Lunchtime can be very busy. Love their soup. Grilled pork was a bit too sweet for me. But freshly cooked. Recommend this place for quick Vietnamese food.

Great place to get Vietnamese food. Got the pork on rice with spring roll. A little too much rice and not enough pork. Service was prompt and constant. The owner is very attentive and fills your tea constantly and provides suggestions on what to eat and how. Parking is street parking.

This place is not deserving of 4.3. Not even 4.0. For those of you who rated this 5 stars, theres much MUCH better places not too far away and at the same price.

The food was too sweet and too one-dimensional in flavour.

I don't want to sound rude and this is my first time doing this. The food was solid and very inexpensive. That being said, I had been taking my coffee breaks several times over the last week or two. This "Cafe's" coffee is somewhat expensive (over 7 dollars after taxes) but I didn't mind and even tipped a couple of times. Today however, in a very insulting and loud tone and with a dozen of people in attendance.the manager had come over to where I had been seated and stated to me "For future reference, we don't just serve coffee without a meal". I was very embarrassed. As an establishment, they have the right to set their own rules and I respect that, however, the message could have been conveyed more.respectfully as well discreetly, perhaps? Also, this is a cafe and in my experience, Cafe's are known to serve just coffee, are they not? Again. Up to the owners. They just should have been more respectful as I had recommended this place to several of my friends. I won't be returning for my breaks any longer as I only have half hour. I may return some other days when I am not working, however, I don't feel too comfortable given what happened. Cheers.

We tried bunh mi, spicy beef noodle soup and seafood soup. They were great. Price is standard and fits the quality & quantity.

Very good. Grilled chicken is tender, not dry, and flavorful. Portion is good. The veggies on the side is sweet and sour, which accompanying the savory flavor well. Spring roll is crispy.

Ha cafe is simply the best Vietnamese restaurant around Metrotown for me. I guess the cook comes from the same part of the country with me, that’s why I loved the fascinating taste here right at the first time.
I always come here every time I crave for Bún Bò Huế (5. Spicy Beef Noodle Soup). Exactly matches my taste. Savory, sweet, spicy. Perfectly handled. Other dishes were delicious too, but not the Bánh Mì. It was disappointing, not really special at all.
The service was great, since the servers always stand at the cashier, in a ready position to greet and take orders for coming customers. They are all nice and sweet.
It was warm and lovely here. The decorations were simple. It is a small place.
I have been here so many times and every trip was a good trip, no complains at all. Definitely coming back here again.

Food is INCREDIBLE (I am half Vietnamese half Cantonese), reminds me of family cooking. Service is intuitive, staff doesn't speak more than necessary (if you ask questions they'll respond, refill water as it goes low, provides you with anything you need without the constant banter in most NA restaurants).

When I was paying my bill and requested a to/go cup I noticed the other service already putting it on my table. Definitely a MUST GO if you want some delicious authentic Vietnamese food.

This Vietnamese restaurant was not something i was expecting. I had high hopes. Unfortunately i was unimpressed.

We had vermicelli with lemon grass chicken and grilled chicken & the shrimp salad roll.

The flavors of the dishes especially the vermicelli was lacking more depth. I would not call this an authentic restaurant. The dishes are leaning more toward the westernized viet restaurant. I did not have to try the pho cause i know exactly that it was would lack richness and flavor.

Definitely will not be coming back.

I've never been to their old location but this has been my new go to Pho joint since they moved across Metrotown. Tasty and good service.

Easily my go-to place for Vietnamese food. Excellent, simple, tasty menu and really friendly, efficient service.

Favorite go to Vietnam restaurants in town.i live in Coquitlam but whenever I crave good Vietnamese food I always go to Ha Cafe.such delicious food, big portion, reasonable price and excellent service!

Food was okay, nothing spectacular. Smaller portions comparing to other pho restaurants.

Rice dishes (pork, beef) are probably the best on the menu

Ordered the grilled chicken with rice. I was happily surprised to see half the plate was salad (which is healthy) and food was delicious! This place is 100/10. Will be coming back here?

Hidden gem! Consistent, good value, very tasty, comfy and casual environment, very friendly staff. This is one of those places you become a regular at! I will see you soon Ha Cafe:)

Short and sweet menu but they do a great job on the classics, pay attention to special requests & allergies, and are definitely among the more homey-feeling restaurants you can find on this strip. Perfect comfort food at a perfectly reasonable price.

Be aware it’s a pretty small location. Not always a bad quality for a restaurant to have, but on my visit there was a group of people using vulgar language, telling gross stories about bodily functions, and everything else you can imagine not wanting to hear during dinner, and it was impossible to ignore because their conversation carried and drowned out every other noise in the place.

Great selection of dishes! Portions were generous! The food was delicious and so flavourful! The price points are so reasonable! The service is super friendly!

We went to this restaurant at the old location and finally came to visit the new location.

The place is clean and the staff is very nice.

Simple menu for all your pho needs.they also have rice and vermicelli dry bowl.

Vietnamese subs are also available but we did not try it this time.

Good authentic Vietnamese food. The bbq dishes came with generous vegetables portions. Spice beef noodle is lemongrass predominant and slightly on the sweet side. There was sate chili sauce to go with the noodle, which is a plus. My family all enjoyed the food!

It's a nice place for Viet food. Newly renovated and is clean and neat. Food tastes good and service is good. Overall above average.

My first lunch after they moved to new location. Servers are friendly and we had a good conversation. Will go again. Price point is reasonable and good portion.

The best Vietnamese food! We get take out from here a few times a month and we order the vegetarian dish (A1). It is always perfect. Thank you and we're so glad that you are open again!

I'm surprised I didn't know about this place earlier. Friendly service, good portion and tastes really good. I had the chicken and rice, #20 on the menu.

Ordered take out pho, chicken and pork on rice, and spring rolls.
The pho and spring rolls were extremely small portions.more bean sprouts then noodles for my soup.noodles cost next to nothing, a little more wouldnt be a bad idea.just a suggestion
And the spring rolls were tiny compared to what you get elsewhere.

Anyway, got my vietnamese fix for today, but definately will try elsewhere next time

Best Vietnamese sub I've ever had in the entire lower mainland. You can't miss this place! It's a real gem!

Broth portion was large enough that I managed to get more portions out of it at home.
Opening hours differ from dine in service times and I wish I had known before going there at 3pm. Was cold eating outside.

Always come here with my family for the pho and lemongrass chicken on rice. On occasion it can feel a bit greasy, but always a great flavour and portion!

My favorite Vietnamese restaurant, tried many other places after we moved from Metrotown but nothing compares, still come back here every time we crave for pho and lemongrass chicken!

It was good:). We ordered special PHO, 4 broth on the sides and lemongrass chicken vermicelli. It was great we really enjoyed. Only thing I was disappointed was the fact that the lemongrass vermicelli didn’t come with any spring roll at all:)

Delicious affordable Vietnamese food here. The pork Bánh mì is simple but out of this world tasty. Next up -> Bún Thịt Nướng (Vietnamese Grilled Pork & Rice Noodles) just incredible flavor profile. Treat yourself and enjoy a great meal at this family run restaurant.

As a veggie, there is limited options to just the three menu items. Note, the veggie tofu noodle soup is chicken-based broth. However, instead I had the Veggie Tofu Noodle Dry and oh my word this is such a super yummy dish I would happily come here again and get the exact same thing. A very plentiful portion full of extremely exciting flavors and a huge amount of tasty tofu at an awesome price, this Vietnamese is dope I love it. Real old school Vietnamese home cooking at its best!
If your on foot, you can walk with your grub and sit out in the nice outdoor area surrounding Crystall Mall to enjoy.
The staff are super friendly and very nice people.

They have have tasty food, and decent prices. Ive been coming here for years for their special (or spicy!) beef noodle soup.

Note: Due to COVID their eat-in are is open only for lunch 11-2. Its take-out only for rest of the day

One of my favourite places for pho or lemongrass chicken. They are extremely consistent, have good customer service, and their food is delicious. The only thing I don't like is that they are closed on Monday.

My SO's favourite restaurant. Delicious food. Lots of different dishes to choose from - from bahn mi to pho to vermicelli to rice. Love that they have vegetarian options too. Only takeout available after 2pm.

I've ordered from Ha Cafe several times now. I really enjoyed their dry seafood noodle, it reminds me of the noodles I very much love in Asia. Their lemongrass chicken is decent, and I quite like the seafood patty tomato noodle soup as well. However, I've find that their soups taste like it's pretty heavy in msg, if you don't like that, I would suggest getting the dry noodle/rice/or vermicelli bowls.

Excellent lemon grass chicken - been getting it for years. Doesn't seem like they're on delivery services, but it's worth dropping by for pickup (they're very careful about it) :)

I have been going to this place for many years after a chance discovery when I was in the area. The food is good the portions are fair and time after time they are consistent, you know exactly what you will be getting when you order the same item again. They have never failed to impress me with any of their menu items. I have not tried everything but every once in awhile I will venture off and order an item I have not ordered before and it is delicious. I am not even going to make any suggestions as to what to order. Just look at the menu and find something that you have had before at other places and get it. If you order takeout your order is ready very quickly.

Chả giò was rotten. The lemongrass chicken tasted a bit strange. Quality has unfortunately gone down due to Covid-19 it appears.

Very fast service and they're all very friendly! Really was quick but the ingredients tasted fresh. I enjoyed my vegetarian soup. It was a bit different with tomatoes, pineapple, hot peppers, tofu and mint all in one soup but i think it worked. Love the mango & basil salad roll too.

The soup tastes horrible and the beef is hard.never come back for the beef noodle soup any more.

Decent pho around Metrotown area. They serve the chop suey directly in the soup which I find unusual.

Pho was good and tasty but they put the bean sprouts at the bottom of the bowl. So it’s not ideal to eat if you don’t eat bean sprouts.

The owner there is VERY NICE. The girls there need to be friendly and work on their serving skills, bigtime!

One of my regulars for Pho in Burnaby. It might get busy but they are quick in turnaround. The tomato seafood patty vermicelli is a special option if you want something different than the regular pho.

I had #1 Pho for lunch, and it was pretty good. They put all the vegetables inside the soup first, so you don't have to do the extra work. I would definetely come back for more. Meow!

I've been here on many an occasion, the prices are really good, the Vietnamese subs are delicious. If you're new to Vietnamese food and are a bit shy to try, this is a really good place to go. Getting the platters of food will only cost around 11 dollars, but they give you a lot. If you're new to using chopsticks they will give you folks as well. I've not had a problem with them yet, and in honesty they've been a godsend when I was a bit low price wise. Their food was always consistent too.

The BIGGEST problem is you do have to be careful what time you come it can be very busy and cramp mid day, if you find it's to busy and it's before five you can grab one of their subs to go, you wont regret it.

Generally good, typical Vietnamese food. Sandwiches, grilled meat rice/vermicelli dishes and soups are all very good. Spring rolls are alright but not excellent.

But their homemade chili oil is AMAZING. It is actually fairly hot and has a really nice flavour that has some depth but won't overpower the taste of the grilled foods. It may be a stupid thing to rant about, but it elevates this spot above any nearby competition for me, including Viet Noodle Guy.

The Pho is not bad ($10 - $12). The service is fast and friendly. The place is small and can get very busy at lunchtime. They are close on Mondays.

Three star for a rude waitress, after we sat down and started looking at the menu, she came over like in less than a minute asking if we are ready to order, we said not yet, she came by again after like 30 seconds and again we said no, and she came asking again after another 30 seconds！ so she basically came over 3 times within just two minutes, unbelievable and she had zero expression on her face. Its not like there is a long lineup for tables, it was 1: 30 and the restaurant is half empty. I guess she wants to take her break asap.

The owner/waiters were very nice however, and the food is great.

It's just average. The staff was pleasant. But I asked for spicy - it was not.the flavour was pretty bland. I won't be returning.

Good food but if the owner is not in, the customer service is awful. The waitresses do not speak, do not smile, do not answer questions and are absolutely NO PROACTIVE. The waiter is like a robot, no social skills at all. Good place but a horrible customer service.

My overall experience was meh. I ordered the beef stew and oh boy was it greasy. My friend ordered the brisket beef soup and it was quite good. The salad rolls were fresh and refreshing. The atmosphere was a bit cramped for my liking and it wasn’t family friendly. Would not recommend it to anyone but if you’re going there, choose wisely when looking at the menu.

Ordered the beef stew. The broth was delicious. The meat was tender but there was a bit more fat on the meet than what I typically like. Still a very enjoyable meal for the price.

Always a good sign when a restaurant is busy, and there are always people in here.

Food is tasty - my rotating favourites are rare beef pho, beef and carrot stew, and grilled pork vermicelli.

Service is friendly and efficient.
