HAB97 FRIED CHICKEN & MEXICAN CANTINA

Open on a Sunday. Has potential. Food had 0 flavour - no salsas, hot sauce, or spice - very bland. As others have pointed out an absence of guacamole. Didn’t finish a dish because the meat tasted off.
Suggestion- serve like in mexico - with salsas to add! And natcho chips. Or at least ask if people want salsas, or spice level - mild, medium, or full spice.
In mexico this food is amazing, super fresh, and lots of flavour, but not in Quesnel: (it could be great though

This is our second time eating at hab97, definitely our new favourite. The food is incredibly flavourful and the price is right. $29 fed 2 of us.

Not the best food in Quensel. It was okay at best. Had the taco platter and it consisted of cheap converted rice, avacado pulp for guacamole and little to no seasonings or flavour. I came a bit early to the show and wanted to try their fried chicken but was told their chicken will take 45minutes to be ready, so I can’t tell you if the chicken is good or not, but over all a really bland and boring experience.

Ordered enchiladas. Got 3 very small enchiladas and all I could taste was a tangy sauce that over powered everything else. If I want starving I would have walked out

It was clean. They had a payphone and free wifi. My tacos were good. But they were the size of the palm of my hand. Three of them cost about 17 bucks before tip. And I was very hungry after that. If they were 3 for 10 bucks that would make more sense. They tasted good though. A quick bite for my wife and I was 42 bucks including tip. Seems way too high for what we got.

As a taco connoisseur, I’d say the tacos are pretty damn good. Fried chicken is really good too. 4.6/5

We have ordered food from here many times since we moved to Quesnel for both dine in and take out and every time the food has been absolutely delicious. We take all our friends and family here for food when they come visit. The prices are very reasonable for excellent food as well. Highly recommend!

I ordered beef and a beans burrito. The meat was old, can tell it was sitting out all day. The tortillas were stale. Waste of 40$ only thing good were the jarritos drinks but that's a given

Food is good. Wait times are unacceptable. Shouldn't have to wait 45 min for a meal i was quoted 15 minutes on.

Still awful wait time. Was told 5 mins needed duplicate waiting 25 minutes. Seriosuly guys? Why not just be honest?

We got chimichangas and they were so delicious! Absolutely loved them. Service was great as well.

The service is super friendly. They were helpful. The place was clean. The food was excellent. Good flavouring on the fried chicken. Both the chicken poutine and the Mexican poutine were excellent. The only reason they’re losing one star is because the children’s menu was inadequate. The taco was plain with very little flavour or toppings. Definitely not worth it I would recommend getting anything but the kids menu.

We were in Quesnel for a few days on tour and ate here all 3 days. The food was fresh, tasty and well priced. We’ll definitely eat here again next time we pass through.

We just went here for dinner and it was fabulous. The food was tasty, well made and delicious and I couldn't believe how fast it was. We are going to become regulars. It's reasonably priced and excellent.

Absolute gem of a restaurant. All the ingredients are super fresh and tasty. It’s also very affordable with great service.

If I were on death row, my last meal would be from here. So much flavour in what I have tried so far. Mexi fries are way too addicting, and the chimichanga is huge and delicious! Definitely a returning customer! Thanks Hab97!

FOOD IS GREAT! Deco needs some work but definitely worth the stop for some good eats all fresh made from scratch!
