HaiDiLao Hotpot West Broadway

This is my favorite place to come with friends. The food and the service is always perfect. I love the vanilla icecream at the end. Today I got served by Stanley and he was super attentive! Very recommended experience

One of the many locations worldwide for this hotpot chain.as is known for, the service is immediate and fast and courteous.there is a sauce bar where you make up your dipping sauce for the hot pot items, but also there are freebies like fruits and dessert items.the hotpot itself is in the middle of the table via induction heater.you order through the ipad yourself or the waiter can help you order.there is the usual meats selections like beef and pork and chicken, as well as the usual veggie options.but many of the typical sichuan fare as well like pancreas, brain, stomach, intestine, blood jelly, pork palate, aorta, and many others.the food is fresh and the cost is actually very affordable unlike many hotpot restaurants.would come again.

Angel is our server tonight. She is so friendly and patient, we'll definitely come back here again.

Serena, the waiter, at the Haidilao Lao restaurant provided us with a friendly, excellent and professional service. My kid loves her; and the recommendation and suggestions are perfectly meet our expectation (actually better than what we have expected!)

They were very dedicated and agile, and the food was delicious and varied, especially Nancy was very enthusiastic about helping and serving us, a great experience and worth trying.

This experience was interesting and I truly enjoyed it. The staffs, especially Nancy, were really nice, they took care of us carefully and respectfully.

Bring someone who's been before if you are not familiar with hot pot ettiquite. Seriously there was a guy accross from me with his friend and he didn't know you were supposed to cook the food at your table

Overpriced for hot pot. There was no noodle performance, and the noodle came out clumpy. I thought the self serve sauce station that you had to pay for EACH person dining in the group was ridiculous. The only compliment I have is efficient order and check out system.

The restaurant is very clean, spacious and well ventilated, so you don't leave smelling like hot pot! Great service at this location (as with any HDL). Anticipating long hair (hair tie), splashes (aprons), & drinks (they're filling up your glass before it's empty). You can select up to 4 different soup based flavours and there is a sauce 'station' where you can create your own dipping sauce. Helpful suggestive recipes are above the bar as well. A little on the pricey side but i think it's worth it for the service, food and general atmosphere.

In retrospect 4 is probably fair.

Picked this out as an option for a hotpot birthday dinner. I've eaten at the Richmond location so had some expectations already. Service was very good and attentive. Food quality was good as we're the flavours with the exception of the noodles prepared at your table. This turned into basically one huge noodle that cooked into.a rather gummy experience. Other than that it was ok but NOT up to the Richmond experience. I have the feeling that some of the chains problems are due to trying to expand too quickly. Nothing really wrong with the food but due to my previous experience I found it a bit of a let down given the price.

Customer service is impeccable. We had the tomato base and the laksa base. The tomato base came recommended but we both found the laksa to be much more delicious, especially if you enjoy a nice seafood flavor. All round it was a reasonably priced meal and a great experience with a dish carrying robot who smiled as he drove on by. Odd, but amusing: D. Also they have dedicated underground parking for customers which is GREAT!

Only thing why is not getting a 5 is because that the induction cooktop on our table is probably faulty and it will make a high pitch electrical whining noise if we dial it pass over level 6. So it is a "torture" to wait for the hot pot come to boil every time we put in food.

Delicious hot pot. Recommended by my Chinese friends. You can try 4 different soup bases while you are there. There is a sauce buffet to make your own dipping sauce. And you get ice cream after your meal. Excellent experience and cannot wait to go back!

Awesome hot pot I’ve never had. Good services and enough portion. Must try the spicy lamb which is my fav. Definitely recommend this place to all my friends. I Visit here regularly and every time was excellent.

Everything was so delicious, the place is perfectly clean with an amazing covid protocol that makes you feel really safe and the service is beyond any expectations!

This was our first visit on a busy Saturday night. Service is outstanding. They give you an apron to wear, little clear bag to store your mask, and a fabric hair tie for long hair. There are many people working here taking care of the customers and they were literally hustling ensuring great service. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The pot is communal (not individual) but you can choose up to 4 broths so everyone can select what they want. Broths very flavorful, really liked the tomato one. We chose a pretty good selection for our meal, the meats (fatty beef, prime rib, and sirloin) were sliced perfectly thin and presented very nice, dumplings, veggies and mushrooms were all very fresh. Well-priced with competitors with this type of hot pot experience. There's a self-serve sauce bar with a good selection to make your desired dipping sauce. Complimentary snacks, fruit (grapes, apple slices, oranges, edamame), and ice cream which was hit with our son. Celebrated our son's bday, they made a small cake out of the ice cream cups with a candle and wrote happy birthday on a plate, brought out a sign and music, and they sang happy birthday for him. He had a huge smile on his face. It was very thoughtful of them showing that they really value their customers. The table has drawer sections making up the base of the table, it has drawers that pull out into the aisle way. My husband who is just under 6', bumped his knee very badly on the corner of it and needed ice. They brought him an ice bag for him to ice his knee. For tall folks be careful when sliding into the seating. Parking is metered pay parking along streets. Covid protocols in place, check your temperature at the door, all employees wearing mask, masks are required everywhere except when seated at your table. Hand sanitizer at the self-serve sauce bar.

Amazing service, amazing hot pot. Hands down, the BEST spicy hot pot you'll find in Vancouver with just such amazing service. The waiters are attentive and always ready to help refill the soup. They even provided free dessert after our meal. 10/10 would recommend and return for sure.

Very clean, and a great selection to choose from. The service was phenomenal, especially for a newby like myself to the hotpot experience! The prices for the varied selections was not expensive at all considering how some restaurants are gauging patrons during CoVid! Would recommend and plan to go back for sure!

Always a good time there, prefer this spot over the Richmond one because it’s less crowded and you can sit quietly and eat hotpot

First time here. Completely shocked at the level of service provided by this establishment. Was simply blown away at the diversity of food provided. The protocols implemented during the time of a global pandemic made dining here feel safe and "normal".

I went here lastnight with a friend the service was incredible but.we got a combo for two for 60$ Witch comes with spam, beef, fish, cabbage, seaweed, sauces, plum juice, etc but when the bill came it was 90$ and then they said that some things weren’t included? Well then. We were kind of in shock and payed and left but I’m telling you this place dosent sit well with me. The service is great, they give you maybe 10 candies with the bill and that should be the tell, that they are con artists and honestly I plan on doing a whole episode for you tube on how they screw people out of their money in kitsilano with the main goal of banning places like this from west side. Shame on you people

My first time visiting this location but the service was just as incredible and thoughtful as when I was at a HaiDiLao in Changsha, China.

We came in at noon for lunch. It slowly filled in but it was still quiet and well spaced out.

We went with the dual broth of classic spicy and pork. Can’t go wrong with that combo.

Ordered several kinds of meats and veggies. The shrimp balls were a favourite.

Can’t wait to come back another time.

Way better service than the one at Richmond.
Laksa and Tomato Soup Base are my absolute fav!
