Handi Indian Restaurant

From the food, to the staff, to the music, this place is a favourite. It was my birthday and the staff all wished me a happy birthday while ordering and while leaving. The food is so good and I am always looking forward to any leftovers I have the next day. A family favorite.

If I could give this place negative stars I would.
First, they sent the food with no rice, then lied about sending it. Insisted that they sent it and were really rude to us about it.
Second, they picked up the phone and left it on hold so that we couldn’t call again.
We were then forced to eat our food with no rice, in which the curry dishes were more like soup with about 4 pieces of meat in them.
We pay $180 for probably the worst meal we have ever had. How the hell this place has 4 stars is beyond me

Been here a few times and food quality has been inconsistent. Best dish has been the chicken tika masala. Naan is good. Biriani is good. Chicken tandoori is really tasty but for our palate it is too saucy for what we expect to have a dry crust. We had a sag chicken dish that was inedible and a vindaloo that was so oily we had to skim it ourselves before it could be eaten. Prices more reasonable than Swad but the food isn’t as consistently good.

Formerly located on Dunbar Street in Vancouver. One of the top Indian restaurants in West Vancouver. Decent lunch special. Small interior. Has high chairs. Free street parking.

Don’t know how to cook biryani. Rice was not boiled properly. Seems like got some rice from some where and put some prices of chicken in that.

Love this place. We drive 20 minutes to come here when we have numerous other Indian restaurants near our house but this is #1 for us!

An unassuming place one block south of Marine, between 15th and 16th Street.

They have a good menu with the usual items that you expect in an Indian restaurant.

Food was good. The decor is traditional but the place looks a bit tired. Not cheerful.

Services was good. They have IPA on tap and Kingfisher bottled beer.

Good food. Tasty and wholesome. Good portion sizes and fair prices. Service leaves a bit to be desired

The worst Indian restaurant experience! Biryani and Korma were awful. We spend more than 50$, non eatable. We eat Indian food almost once a week and we never have such a bad experience. Never ever go back there!

Well the place was decent. Staff was polite and provided good service. But the food did not meet the expectations. We ordered veg biryani, garlic naan and chicken Tikka masala. Veg biryani tasted like masala rice.garlic naan had no garlic taste. Chicken Tikka masala was no where near to the name. Three star only for the server guy for giving good service.

Good friendly staff, fresh Indian food, delicious chicken, Nan and rice with fresh veggies. This is a close as you'll get to eating in India

Best Indian restaurant on the North Shore. Try the Eggplant Bharta, Sag Paneer or Butter Chicken. Intimate, clean and tasty.

The food was good. I like the presentation. We ordered chicken 65 and cauliflower 65, it was ok not so great. Mugali chicken and chicken rara was also ok. Kadahi Paneer wad delicious. Mango lassi is a big no. Over all food is Ok.

This is a lovely family run business. We have enjoyed many fine meals from this lovely establishment.

Amazing service and good quality food.
We originally went to Earl's down the street and after having no service for 20 minutes just walked out and were looking for a place to eat. Glad Handi Indian Restaurant was open and very hospitable.

Honestly worst indian food I’ve had here. The channa masala was undercooked, the lamb was frozen and the tandoori naan was not prepared well. Very disappointed in my experience.
