Happy Jack's Café Ltd.

The food has been fresh, flavorful, and consistent! My favorite place to grab a sandwich or have breakfast. The homemade soups are made fresh daily so the taste is unmatched from anywhere else I've been. The people who work there always provide great service. Definitely recommend to anyone living or visiting surrey! A hidden gem indeed.

All the staff are friendly and have great customer service. It’s a very welcoming environment. The food is amazing too and my favourite would be the eggs benny sandwich. Always makes me coming back for more! The menu is ideally priced and very good portions. They got everything from breakfast, lunch, pastries/desserts, salads and drinks. And Chris and Lonnie are great! 10/10 would recommend this place

I stopped in while I was working in the area and was very happy I found this place! Chris, the owner and creator of the menu, was so nice, and the service was very fast. I had the Classic Benedict english muffin breakfast sandwich which was amazing… so amazing I had to go back and try the Ranchero breakfast sandwich right after!

Overall, the menu was creative and the prices were very reasonable. I definitely recommend this restaurant. Support local!

Came here our first morning visiting Surrey and we knew we had to come back before we left. It's a great spot for breakfast, even for babies. Great fresh, wholesome food. The lunch sandwiches and salads looked so fresh and yummy too. Definitely a must go when you're nearby!

Finally found a place where the coffee and lattes don’t taste bitter! The French vanilla cappuccino tastes better than Tim Hortons yet not too sweet.

The turkey havarti is amazing! But they don't put very much sweet potato on it, and it doesn't grill the same? Falls apart easily and is often cold. Seems like ingredients are being cut back on. Mushroom soup is the best soup! If you order through Uber Eats, they won't give crackers, a pickle, or lettuce.

This place is awesome! For a small place they have an amazing selection of fresh food options for breakfast, lunch or a quick snack. Also a perfect option for smaller catering events. I highly recommend them and will definitely be back.

Wicked cafe with classic foods done very well. Friendly staff, fast service. Stop by for lunch, you wont be disappointed. Club sandwich is humongous, could have fed two.

Recently had a staff lunch and put a large order in for various soups. By far the best around, excellent selection and well received by everyone. I've also eaten here on several occasions and the food is great, the breakfast sandwiches are amazing! Highly recommend!

Probably some of the most loveliest staff I’ve ever encountered! Everyone is so kind here. The food was also delicious and the portions are very fair for the prices. I ordered the Jack’s Traditional and it came with two eggs, two large pieces of toast, four sausages, two hash browns, and some fruit. 5/5, I would recommend this place for sure and I will be back again!

A standout in the Surrey area! I have recently opened a business in Surrey and have been exploring the local cafe’s and found my go to spot! Very clean restaurant. Friendly service. The owner takes a personal interest in his customers. Has a small town vibe to it. Makes you forget the hectic pace of Surrey. Pro tip: park for free at the Guildford mall (Near BMO) across the street as the lots near it are pay parking.

Stopped in this morning for my first time. I had the jacks traditional breakfast. It was delicious, I enjoyed every bite. The staff are great, friendly and welcoming. I’ll be back for sure.

We had our first Happy Jack's meal today and it won't be the last. We ordered the B. E. L. T, and the B. L. T. Flatbread Panini with Havarti on Focaccia sandwiches, and the Creamy Cauliflower soup. Everything was fresh and tasty, and lightly toasted as requested. We ordered via Skip, and the smiley faces and "thank you" on the food containers was a class act touch. We'll recommend Jack's to everyone we know. Great food and very reasonable prices. If only we had known about Jack's a lot sooner after living in Surrey for 10 years.

Sounded wonderful on-line, friends came from out of town, (Vernon) we all checked on line & it said “Open” (Good Friday) we paid for parking a block away & walked up (I’m disabled walking is painful) & it was closed, BUMMER, probably just an oversight & in today’s world everyone relies on information on-line being accurate, happens to all of us, good lesson for Cafe’ owner to take in. We’ll try again, (Surrey parking Gods are brutal! Without Visa or MasterCard your “ persona non grata” praise Caesar!

. Went to Happy Jack's Cafe today. Been walking past it the past six or 7 years, thinking we need to try it one day. We'll today was the day and we are kicking ourselves in the butts. It's a small family run Cafe, everything is fresh and homemade, menu is great, food was great, price was great, and the people there were so friendly and welcomed us with open arms and were very quick and hospitable. Loved the food, loved the people. Big thanks to Chris (Chef) and the family for a wonderful first impression! I highly recommend the Thursday special of a BLT flat bread with the minestrone soup or the chef salad. Going to try the pancakes tomorrow. Even the pickle spear tasted great and was nice and crisp with the satisfying crunch my husband and I look for in a pickle.

Chicken wrap was absolutely dreadful. Packed full of wilted lettuce. Morsels of actual meat. Would rather starve than eat there again. AVOID.

*SALMONELLA ALLERT* Ate one egg and it was fine but when I got to the other I broke the top with my toast put it in my mouth and could barely swallow before I threw up. Upon examining, this egg is smelly and more brown then it should be (photo doesn't do the colour justice) and was the worst thing I ever tasted. (First time I puke from eating a food & ive eaten scorpions -. -) Called the place to let them know, they seemed confuse as to why I was calling, didn't say sorry and just said yes yes when I said they should check their eggs. I wasn't rude or anything, just thought they'd appreciate a heads up but guess not. I believe this egg was rotten and bad eggs = salmonella. Not impressed that they did not seem to care they are sending out food that could harm their customers, so I threw the food out to avoid getting sick!

I am so happy to have found this cafe on Uber eats today! I was craving for a soup and sandwich and it was better than I could have imagined.

During these “Covid times” we definitely prefer to support local business rather than chain restaurants. It’s the small businesses that keep the local economy thriving.
Visiting from Niagara Falls, ON and coming from a tourist city I know how important good customer service is. Couldn’t ask for better. Will visit Happy Jacks again on my next visit west.

This place is amazing! I was staying at the hotel next door for the week, and went here every day for breakfast. The food was fantastic (great, homecooked breakfast!), prices were great (like FANTASTIC), coffee was delicious and high quality, but most importantly, the staff are just absolutely lovely. By day 2, they made us feel as if we were long time regulars. I forgot my coffee by accident one morning, and when I ran back in to see if it was still on the table, the lady had grabbed it and set it aside for me so it wouldn't get thrown out because "she felt how full it was and knew I'd be back for it! "

I will most definitely be going back next time I'm down for work, and I cannot stress enough, this place deserves all the business it can get!

Stopped here on my walk to Starbucks. Glad I did. Much better coffee and a nice little breakfast sandwich. Affordable. Very friendly staff, helped me decide what to eat. Vegetarian friendly as they modified for me!

A few weeks ago a dear friend of mine and I were looking for a Restaurant that serves breakfast but more so had a variety of vegetarian breakfast options. We stumbled upon this gem of a place. The service was fantastic the owner even came up to my friend and inquired what made us decide to come to this restaurant (You can tell right away this owner interacts with his customer so he knows his regulars and also can spot new your faces) and we began to explain we came in based on the reviews and but more so the overall excitement looking at their menu, if offered a very friendly and cosy place to go try out. We were there for about half an hour 45 minutes or so and we will definitely go back the food was great service was excellent and it’s a place where you know that you are provided with healthy wholesome food and you leave feeling fantastic, highly recommended, check it out for sure!

Imagine you’re walking the stoned streets of Europe and you spot this quaint family owned cafe that has all the feels from the warm smell of coffee to delicious baked treats and sandwiches that make you want more. This is one of those few places. I stopped by and tried out the havarati turkey sandwich and knew I just had to come back the next day to bite into heaven once again. The people that run this place are super friendly and extremely warm. Happy Jacks Cafe, hands down, has the BEST chocolate brownie you will ever taste.

Can't believe I just discovered this spot. Super friendly people, amazing food and very fast service. Its a bit hard to find, however it's a must if you're hungry and in the guildford area. Support a small business not a corporation. I'll be back for sure when I return to surrey.

Amazing service! Nicest owner I have ever met and the food was so fresh and delicious. If we are visiting again, we would definitely come back! They were more than accommodating to a larger table. Dont be scared off by the building, well worth the walk from the hotel near by! We had the pancakes, rancheros, sandwiches.all delicious!

Absolutely loved their sausage & egger, soups (esp seafood chowder) and iced mocha! The owner is also super friendly and appreciative of their customers’ support! It’s located inside of an office building though, so might be a bit hard to visit unless you work in the area. Will definitely visit again!

I work in the same building as this cafe, and can confidently state the food is excellent. I'd highly recommend any of the breakfasts (I love the Jack's Traditional), the Chipotle Turkey Wrap and my absolute favourite, the BLT.

The owner, Chris, is the kind of guy who goes out of his way to remember your name and ask how you're doing. The kind of place where loyalty works two ways.

Was going to try this place however when I arrived their cook was standing at the door smoking, mask hanging off and his hand rag hanging off his hip. He proceeded to go sit at a table and talk on his phone. Even normally I think that is not clean.
Long story short I did not go inside.

Good food, clean environment, and exceptional service. What more could I ask for. Chris and his team know how to treat customers.

I went there yesterday around 12: 45.
The one young girl wouldn't even acknowledge me, when I approached the counter.
She was making sandwiches.
I just wanted to ask where I order drinks.
After I said excuse me twice she finally made eye contact & answered.
Then I ordered a drink (front staff was very friendly) but the one making the drinks was pure unhappiness.
No smile & somber look.
Anyways I don't know if I will ever come back.
I have been here a few times with such helpful & friendly staff.

Visiting from the East Coast of Canada and this was right around the corner from my hotel. Breakfast review: nice spot, friendly staff, good food, and the price was way better than $21 hotel breakfast.

This place is the real deal! Super tasty food and an abundant menu selection that would make most people drool. Service was super friendly and the owner came out not once but twice to make sure everything was perfect with our order, which it was! Omelette is very tasty with super fresh ingredients and the hash browns are soooooo good, as well as the fluffy pancakes. Good coffee selection as well. Can't wait to go try their soup, sandwiches etc. Egg Benedict lovers should come in Thursdays as this is the only day of the week they're available. No wonder this cafe is a local favorite for 11 years! 5 shining, well deserved stars!

We were travelling through Vancouver and needed a good breakfast after a night of camping. This place was nearby and looked healthy and reasonably priced so we gave it a try. The staff were incredibly attentive and went out of their way to explain options, and made a lunch item at breakfast for the vegetarian non-egg eater! The reason I write this review is because my 11 year old son just said to me, "you know that place we went in Vancouver? Those were the best eggs. I just can't make them like that, they must have a secret recipe. " He doesn't normally talk about food he ate two weeks ago, so.well done!

Food is so delicious and the staff is super friendly. Had breakfast and lunch here a few times while visiting. The breakfast sandwiches are great and homemade and the salads are very impressive.
