Happy Lamb Hot Pot, Burnaby 快乐小羊

I felt stomach ache after eating in there but my family didn't feel that because I thought I ate crab (just me ate it) at that time I smell a bit foul and look spoiled. Actually I just think it normal and ate 1 or 2 piece.after that day my stomach ache is so hurt. I hope restaurant will fix this fault. Actually I only want to feedback so the restaurant can develop and be careful about dishes.

LONG WAIT! Best to call a day or two in advance and reserve, even then, you will end up waiting some.

We’ve been told this is the best AYCE hotpot in Burnaby. I agree.

Once seated, service is fast and staff are friendly. Food is fresh and delicious. Portions are abundant and quality is high.

An AYCE that I won't turn my nose up at? Yeah. Food quality is fine, server kept asking us if we needed more food. What else can you ask for?

We arrived at around 550pm. It got really busy and people were waiting for seats later on, so make reservation if you need to.

The most unhygienic place of hotpot I have ever tried in Metro Vancouver. I tried Happy Lamb before in the West Broadway location but this location is beyond my imagination. The moment I walked into the toilet, there were 3/4 rooms that were unusuable because they were so dirty and seemed like the employees don’t even give a dam about it at all. Seeing human’s stool everywhere in the toilet and floor kinda level here. Food was mid, I understand it is AYCE but at least I shouldn’t get severve diarrhea and bowel infection so badly the day after. Service was alright, but food was not delivered as the amount ordered (I get it since it’s peak hour). But still, please clean the toilet. That’s all I ask and probably the kitchen too I don’t know what got me diarrhea but 3/5 of my friends also got the same issue? I don’t understand why they passed the City inspectation.

The quality of meat and veggies certainly exceeded my expectation, especially for the AYCE price you pay. It's a solid alternative compared the more expensive chains like Dolar and HDL. However, if you are more budget conscious and can eat a ton, Happy Lamb is overall a superior alternative. They have plenty of selections and I mostly stick with lamb/beef, balls, and veggies. Seafood such as mussels wasn't very good but it's understandable given the price you pay. The original soup base was very flavourful, but I suspect there is MSG in it unlike the Dolar one. Would certainly come visit again when I'm very hungry.

This price has pushed up his rating! No matter how many copies you write on the list, they will always only give you one copy. It is recommended to order two rounds at a time! Drinks need to be paid separately! Very busy at noon, often have to stop and wait, lack of enough service staff, but the price here is great value

We did the happy hour offered from 8: 30pm to 10: 30pm for 20% off AYCE. Everything was great quality and such a reasonable price. Staff were also very friendly and attentive. Ice cream at the end too! 10/10 would definitely come back again!

I thought they had lunch menu but it’s all one price all day. Food was fresh and everything tasted good.

I always come for hotpot here but today the sauce station seems old even tho I am one of the first customer here. Please change sauce more often it looks very old

Best AYCE hotpot with many variety and great meat. It will not be the very top grade meat but is definitely worth the 35$-40$ you pay. Always a great experience every time I come here.

Tasty food, good service, $25 per person, and around $12 for the soup bases - a great deal for the variety of food you can eat.

Hot pot is always great fun. Happy Lamb is a great spot for this. They have a good selection of items to fit what mood you're in.

We had the all you can eat option and had the house special broth. The house broth had a little bit of everything and was a pretty good match with the items we got.

The meats, lamb and beef, were amazin along with the mushrooms and dumping. We also got a lot of quail eggs (careful eating quail eggs, can burn your tongue).

Overall, great time here. Awesome food to enjoy with a group of people.

New name, same setup as before. Perfect place to eat hotpot on cold rainy days. The servers were great.

Food so yummy, forgot take the pics. My favourite soup is tomato soup there. Service not really good and prices are reasonable.

First time going to this location. There was a big line when we arrived but we were already prepared as it was a Sunday evening peak dinner time. Waited bout 15-20min when we were told 30min or more. The Service was excellent. Water & tea are always filled and never had to ask. Food came in a timely manner after handing in the ayce paper. Food was fresh and nicely presented.
I usually go to the Coquitlam location and not sure if they are short staff most the time but this Burnaby Locations service was exceptional especially for how busy it was on a Sunday night. 5/5!

Despite it being all you can eat, dine in for two cost around $110 after tips and tax.
For the same price, you can go to The Dolar Shop. Or go to Gokudo Shabu, which cost less and offer better quality.

I visit theyre branch at Burnaby for lunch, adults are price about $29 per person and child is $13, theyre soup selection varies from original to spicy choices which you have to pay separately ($9) its not included on the $29 per person charge, you can combine two soup flavour in one pot (pot has a separator) choices of hotpot dishes varies from seafood, dimsum, meats and vegetable. They also offered different types of sauces and you can help yourself in the near counter, mask are mandatory when you enter the restaurant with a proven vaxx ID, the restaurant are tidy and clean, servings are fast.

Verdict:
If your not a big eater and you have limitation on food you can eat then this place wont justify the price for you. Some of the menu available are not included and you have to pay for it separately on top of the $29 charge per person. Soup are tasty and I love the original flavour.they will allow you to take home your left over for a $5 charge per small plastic bowl containers.

Total for 2 person bill: $98 (Lunch)

Pretty good quality for all you can eat hotpot. Don't expect them to get your order exactly right - they will just grab stuff from the back and give you how much they want to give you. You can always order more of course

The foods are delicious, my kids eat so much more than at home, which any parents would love to see. Service is OK, maybe because we come in the between meal times or something that I was asked to pay in the middle of the meal. BUT if you come at regular dinner time, parking would be PITA.

Just visited this restaurant today and we had an amazing experience! The best hot pot. Good value for the fresh ingredients. They had a robot server too! Very high end hot pot. Excellent customer service. I’ve told all my friends and brining my daughter on next visit. She made me promise to take her soon! Lol! Thank you for a very warm welcome on our first visit.

What about 50 mins wait while busy waitress tells you no line up while table isn’t full? No dipping sauce no problem, you pot takes another 20 mins anyway, great for spending time if you have nowhere to go, make sure alone cause your buddy might slap waitress face.

Butter melting meat quality with their premium cuts. A little on the high end of $40-50 for All you can eat but definitely worth the quality. Though there might be some language barrier as people that work there tend to speak mainly Chinese but that doesn't stop it from making a good place to go to. Service isnt like usual white restaurants, you might need to grab their attention rather than wait for it.

This time around they were short of staff, there were just 2 girls running around at such a busy time.

We went during the dead hours and service was still quick. Standard hot pot place with nothing to complain about. Great choice if you're around metro.

Great food, reasonable price. Service sometimes is slow and you can find yourself waiting 20 mins for something you ordered from menu to come to the table. Very clean and friendly staff.

Great place for hotpot for groups. You can choose particular items for AYCE. We chose their AYCE option, for which they take orders twice. The soups are great, we had spicy and regular. And the meats are fresh! It can get pretty busy in the evening so I'd suggest making reservations.

Busy place for AYCE hot pot. We waited close to 45 minutes in a packed entryway (on a Friday evening, for a table of 4).

When we got in, we filled out the order form and went to the shared sauce cart. They have bowls and a good selection of sauces to create whatever you want here.

Staff re-filled drinks and the pot diligently.

My first time eating hot pot. It was so delicious. The restaurant (in Burnaby) is huge and gorgeous. Across from Metropolis on the second floor of some plaza. Check it out!

The first time we came it was great, but the second time we came it was pretty bad. Our orders got messed up a lot. We asked and ordered for more Bok Choi, and they came back with three small Bok Choi leaves. We have been waiting for the meat for awhile as well.

Quality of food was good. Staff are very good and quick with the service. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants to try hot pot for the first time.

If this is your first time trying hot pot it's a great place to start! Everything is really fresh and the service is super speedy. Go when there isn't a lineup and take your time. All you can eat, hot pot with very good veggies and meat selection as well as tofu and some vegetarian.

Delicious food with lots of options to choose from! The service is usually good but the staff isn't very friendly.

Some of the best food I've ever eaten. Fantastic selection of meat and vegetables. The staff was patient as well, with the newcomers that had to be guided through the menu. I would go back to Burnaby purely to eat at Little Sheep again.

They need to get more organized. You order things that don't come, and get things you didn't order. As far as hotpot goes, I go here frequently and what you get is good at least.
