Happy Lamb Hot Pot, Coquitlam

I like it there because u mostly get ur own ingredients. U dont need to wait for them to bring the food to u. Also there is less waste because u only get what u need. Weekend lunch prices r same price as dinner price which i believe is a bit expensive. But they do not rush you to leave. U can eat in peace. I recommend if u plan on going for hotpot.

My friend came over to town and thought about inviting him to eat at the hotpot place. I used to visit the Happy Lamb in Vancouver area but it was a little bit further from where I live. So I decided to take him to eat here.

I like how we can get the veggies and meatballs by ourselves (self service), and the server didn't prepare it for us (because we know how much we want to eat). The meat was so good! We took a dinner package (we arrived after 3 PM) and the price is not so much different with lunch and you get more!

After lunch, we got free mooncake for each of us! (It was mid autumn festival).

The soup base that i recommend: half and half (sichuan broth and the non-spicy). Sichuan broth wasn't spicy but it is just heat you can request more sichuan chilli if you want more spicy.

Cons: the fried rice was too dry. I think they left it outside for hours already and kept reheating it.: (the chicken wing was ok just to keep me not so hungry until the meat came.

Price was actually not bad! 130 dollars for three people

Food was fantastic and at a great price for all you can eat, one of the best Happy Lambs I have been to!

I been here many times with friends, always good food, great service, and if you are staying later in the evening just get the number to security so they can let you in since the mall parkade closes at a certain time.

You'll def be Happy after your meal. We've been here on multiple occasions and always had a good time. Our last visit, I called ahead for a reservation and they gave us the private room. It was a nice touch.
They now have self service food, which I prefer much better than ordering. Better portion control and obviously faster because you are choosing your own food. There is an abundance of choices, you will not be disappointed. There are a couple hot food items. I really enjoy a regular degular chow mein and it was simple and delicious enough. They also had spring rolls and mini sesame balls.
The service has always been friendly and efficient. We celebrated a birthday so the robot delivered the cake we brought, it was super cute.
This has now been one of our go to hot pot places. The all you can eat price is such a better value I find than other hot pot places.

People are insane, take look the reviews and cant believe there are so many people don’t know how to tip (even people don’t tip) even service was not great but you still gotta tip. Right it’s Chinese restaurant, of course people don’t tip

Unlike the other reviews, we had a great experience! The only negative thing was fruit flies. But everything seemed fresh haha and tasted good! Service was quick and they were attentive.
Sauce bar was awesome!
Was only a 15-20min wait when we arrived.

Additional training was necessary to provide adequate service to the customers. The reservation for Feb 20 was written as Feb 19. We had to wait for additional 40 minutes despite the fact that I had a “reservation”. I even have a record of the time I called the restaurant and the message I sent to my friend that I had made a reservation 3 minutes after the call. On Feb 19 at 10: 17 pm, I confirmed with the staff on the phone that the restaurant was open on Family Day and we both repeated the date of reservation will be on Feb 20 at 7 pm. Although the staff had provided us with free drinks during the meal, my friends still encouraged me to provide feedback to the owner to professionally train their employees to avoid careless mistakes. After we finished the meal, the staff finally realized it was their fault. Four coupons of compensation were given as a result of their careless mistake on the reservation. As far as I am concerned, a 10% off would be more acceptable to retain their customers as opposed to coupons to compensate customers. Regardless of the long waiting time, we had a fantastic experience in the restaurant with respect to the food quality and the short waiting time for our food.

The food is sooo delicious and we are both satisfied with it, and of course, service is pretty goooooood!

I'm fairly new to eating hotpot, and I thoroughly enjoyed my food here. I had a sit down experience that was great.food was fresh and came quickly.

This is an all you can eat for a set price. There are additional items that are not included and will be extra.

There are limited choices and you're only allowed to order 2 meats at a course. There are two courses. The waiters and waitresses were very friendly and polite.

The robot cat that carries your food is interesting and efficient! The sauce choices are nice. The flavour of the soup is excellent. The meat and veggies are fresh.

I just wish the washrooms were cleaner and broken areas fixed. It would also be nice if there are explanations on how ordering works, pictures to show you what it is as well as clearer on how many items you get.

A lot of reviews mentioned slow wait times after selecting food but we didn't find that to be the case even when it was full and busy. They also had given us all our selections!

Good restaurant for all you can eat. Great place for family gatherings or groups. My wife and I like the Chinese herbal broth a lot. The service is attentive. Vivian introduced the menu clearly and always get my food arrives quickly. If you are looking for a good time, here is the way to go.

The best hotpot that we have ever tried, it's the first time that we visit here, and we'll highly recommend.
