Happy Stan's Recovery Services

I was extremely pleased with the service that HSR Services provided to me. They recycled 3 bankers boxes of obsolete books for me. These were 20-year old computer books that would be of no use to anybody. Until I found HSR Services, the recommendations I was receiving for dealing with these books would have ended up with them being sent to another country – presumably a developing country – and from there into a landfill, I’m pretty sure. For a fee that was less than I would have expected, HSR took my books, chopped off the spines with a big paper cutting machine, and recycled the pages via paper recycling. That is the best result I could have hoped for for these books. Thank you HSR!

Never had any trouble. Just pull up out front and drop off all my scrap in the marked bins and leave! Easy as that. Happy to have it out of my house!

I love these guys. They keep a staggering amount of materials out of landfills. They take almost everything: lightbulbs, batteries, metal, electronics, acrylic light covers, blinds, fluorescent tubes and a ton of other things. Port Coquitlam's best kept secret. They deserve an award for service to the community and the planet.
The only non-Blue Bin recyclables they don't take are plastic bags, glass and I think styrofoam - which I take to Biggar Bottle Depot on Kingsway.

We have used Happy Stan for years to remove recycling from our spas.
They have been outstanding in customer care waiting patiently when we are with guests for the key to our back door.
During covid, they were true partners supporting us in our budgeting process.

I currently work with the Happy Stan's Recovery (HSR) team under their Zero Waste division, and as a result wanted to write a review to reflect my experience working with the company so far.

I had 10 "Bankers Box's" of confidential files shredding that needed to be destroyed (shredded). I was able to drop them off at HSR and they looked after the confidential shredding. Way cheaper than phoning the mobile shredders for pick up.

I have had a great few years working with Jamie and his team - they are so knowledgable, responsive and really have that family business vibe, but the resources of any of the big name companies. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend HSR services to anyone who cares about recycling services.

Construction waste ranging from concrete chunks, miscellaneous piping, wood, and metal scraps was building up at our facility over 2 months of construction. HSR offered us a cost-effective solution for sorting the waste into various streams and recycling the materials instead. They've provided us support when we're unsure of how to sort the waste into separate streams.

Our company had quite a bit of used computer equipment and they responded quickly and had someone out here to pick up everything in a timely matter. Great service.

Friendly and helpful staff. It's great to be able to recycle metal and wire items that are not accepted in our curbside recycling bin.

They charge a fee for recycling cardboards. Never heard of it. The place is really dirty as well. Then I went to another recycling place. Totally free with staff help even.
