The check in is very slow. Long line up and insufficient staff. Staff, however, were very friendly and helpful

My 16th stay at the Harrison Hot Springs Resort since 1972. Casual dress or resort robes, are the scene of the day. Enjoy the many hot spring pools, the food, and the pleasant staff. Need a massage or treatment? Book the Healing Springs Spa.
24 August 2023 10:57
Rude hotel receptionists (multiple occasions and multiple staff). Other than that, valet parking and the staff in the spa were very kind and helpful.
18 August 2023 12:56
Considering this site is quite old, the rooms in the West building we’re very clean and comfortable. The best part was our view on the lake and the five hot spring pools. If you add the nice walking path, the great restaurants, the craft market and the wonderful people; well it was a perfect stay. We spent quite a bit of healing time in the pools and slept so rejuvenated. Highly recommend.
20 January 2022 11:17
The staff is super helpful and friendly. Due to covid19, we had to help pack the linen upon checkout and the spa was not available. Needless to say, I cannot give a proper assessment of all facilities.
13 January 2022 1:58
My family stayed here in October. I was surprised at how run down the rooms were. Carpet dirty.
The second room had terrible smell in the fridge, with no remedy from front desk. Noisy. Could hear everyone talking in hallway. Upstairs door to patio made terrible noise in our room
Overcharged for both rooms. Was able to produce email to confirm booking price, but not handled well by supervisor. Double charge (to both rooms) for parking. Pools very crowded, considering covid.
Setting is lovely but mediocre experience in hotel.
07 January 2022 6:50
The front desk service was very friendly and helpful. Our hotel room was nice and clean and they provide robes as well. This is helpful so you have something to wear to the hot springs pools. There are several outdoor pools: 1 adults only with seating along the edge, 1 family with seating along the edge and a long rectangular keep pool. There is a smaller rectangular pool indoors along with a circular pool with steps all around for seating. Masks are required if you are sitting the indoor pools. No masks are required for the outdoor pools. You are required to wear a wrist band so make sure you have enough when you check in. We had the buffet breakfast and I would NOT recommend it (Very basic, trays not full & $24/person). For breakfast/lunch I suggest you go to Muddy Waters instead. For dinner try Morgan's (phenomenal).
04 January 2022 1:02
The buffet breakfast could use some vegetables. Location is great. Staff are friendly. Indoor and outdoor pools. Hot tubs available. Free Wi-Fi internet. Rooms are not the newest, but has a nostalgic feeling. Good place for families.
03 January 2022 10:08
An excellent accommodation facing with a beautiful view of the lake; clean rooms, staff very helpful and friendly. Pools were overcrowded, children running and screaming with excitement down the halls and through the lobby area by the fireplace was the only unsettling part of the stay.
02 January 2022 22:42
Due to covid (not all services are available), check before you book. Pools were great, alittle over crowded at times. Hotel itself is dated and in disrepair in many areas. Not all Elevators were working. "since forever" On the bright side I did lose 5 lbs walking up and down 5 floors for the time I was there. To many people waiting for the Elevator for my liking. For what i paid a night, it would not happen again.
31 December 2021 12:19
Hot Springs pool and beach is fantastic, the hotel not so much. Would be a 1 star if the staff were not good, they were pretty good. For the price paid, was not expecting what was delivered. The rooms are extremely dated, but besides that, the bathrooms are gross, shower tile had visible mould on them, the tub/ shower was barely big enough for me 5"11, almost hitting my head, moved nossle around and sprays water everywhere, multiple rooms are party city also, our kids going to sleep before 9 and people blasting music both nights different rooms, hotel staff called, didnt do much. Would be back but will air b n b something and skip this resort most likely.
26 December 2021 22:59
Very bad service I don't recommend staying here they are to many Restrictions no drinks at the pool but it's an adult pool so how does that even make sense pools closes at 11 can't even sit outside at the fire check in is super late at 4: 00 p.m. For 229 a night it's not worth it save your money and stay somewhere else unless you want the pools but I won't be coming back. Too expensive they should offer a discount with all the restrictions.plus I even called before booking to ask if there was any restrictions and the reception on the phone said no everything is the same which was a complete lie and then I asked to talk to the manger and they didn't even bother to call me back after multiply voice messages. I am so disappointed
26 December 2021 5:28
The springs were nice but not warm enough for me. I'm used to warmer springs in washington.
25 December 2021 12:17
We came for a 2 night stay. We have a small dog, which we were able to bring, on the understanding they are not allowed to stay alone in the room. Well we read and understood that but not all the people with pets. The first night we had to call front desk and it was attended to. The second night we waited well over an hour, calls and visits to front desk before the barking stopped! We received no apology or compensation. Would not recommend.
23 December 2021 11:15
Resort is decent, stayed at the East Tower but got a room beside the elevator close to the top, kept hearing the motor of the elevator when people are using it. The pools are in good shape, it does get busy as we stayed during the weekend. The bar was ok as well.
18 December 2021 23:12
Had a mid week stay, the Covid protocols in place were good, the hot pools were clean and enjoyable and the restaurant service was great.
18 December 2021 14:26
Had a great stay there.i think it needs a little renovation cause the furniture looks outdated, but besides that great place to stay especially fun for kids!
17 December 2021 18:48
If you want some peace and quiet without having to go too far, Harrison Hot Springs is the place to go. The hot pools help ease the body aches and tensions. It was quiet when we went. No loud music or any distracting noise.
The bedroom with 2 queen beds is quite spacious.
There are no bath robes in the room, so you have to pass by the reception to get one.
13 December 2021 15:23
I rented an expensive room with a great view of the lake, but the old rooms and poor supplies welcomed me. (=Make sure you bring your own toiletries)

But if your purpose of reading this review is a hot spring, book it right now. Hot spring was very satisfactory. (= There was one thing I didn't like. Cameras are not allowed in the hot springs, but some people brought their cell phones and took pictures and videos. The staff looked at them, but they didn't take any action against them.that's the worst)
11 December 2021 19:25
Booked a one night stay and wow was it disappointing. The bed was so uncomfortable and old we didn't sleep all night. Thebath tub in our room had rust in the bottom of it. The food was horrid especially the 22 dollar breakfast buffet! I have had better continental breakfast at way cheaper places. Definitely will not be returning.
10 December 2021 10:40
Rooms are outdated but clean. Your there for the hot springs anyways which were awesome. I love that they don't close until 11.
07 December 2021 19:47
Great place to stay. The pools used to open at 6 am, it is now 8 am. The resort should look at changing the pool hours back to 6 am. That opening time is missed by guests who used to go during those days, like myself. The cleanliness in the room could have been better. It wasn't terrible, but they definitely need to check the rooms more thoroughly after the housekeeping team is done before clearing it for guests entry. The pillows here are not good at all, highly recommend bringing your own. The front desk was happy to give us as many pillows as we needed to make up for it. There's never any staff around checking on the pools, which is strange. There should be someone monitoring the guests behavior, garbage around the pool, and public washroom cleanliness. Overall a great stay, we will be back.
06 December 2021 6:37
If you wanna go to a hot springs around Vancouver, you may be out of choice other than this one. It was more like some hot tubs than a decent hot spring, but this is the best you can get other than Scandinave in Whistler which is essentially an artificially heated water spa.
04 December 2021 8:28
Our family go there about 3 times every year. The service has gone down the hill within last 2 years. We needed new towels for the hot springs and waited in the room for over an hour! We did call every 20mins but that didn't change anything.
28 November 2021 1:38
Went for our 10 year wedding Anniversary and go here almost every year and never have had worse service. Hotel room was nice we stayed in the east end. When I tried to order room service for dinner I couldn't get a hold of anybody in the hotel, I tried calling numerous times for over an hour and gave up. We stayed 2 nights and thought they would of made up our room for second night with new coffee/towels/cups etc but instead I guessed we had to call for these things and well I already mentioned the calling situation. The staff that we did come in to interaction with were great but they did seem to be very understaffed.
26 November 2021 6:11
Loved the view from our room.

Everything feels a bit worn and dated at the resort. Paper thin walls in west tower.

People very friendly and great service.
Recomend eating out.

Walked into town and around the Lagoon. Very windy but such a gorgeous day.

Can't say enough good things about lunch at Muddy Waters Cafe. Dessert at Rocky Mt Choclate next store was a lovely surprise. Loved the salted chocolate carmel green apple (tart and sweet). Not much of a candy apple person but this changed my mind, yummy.
25 November 2021 21:31
Operations at the HHS resort wasn’t great. I waited 3 hours after the check-in time to finally get my room because most of the hotel still needed to be cleaned (ended up being 7pm before I could get a room). I didn’t even get my original room because it was still being cleaned. I asked for any available room because waiting in my car in the rain for 3 hours was not the most enjoyable vacation experience.

The pools themselves were a bit disappointing. I was expecting much hotter water. Both the outdoor and indoor pools were warm at best. They state the temperatures on the website, but I think the indoor pools were cooler than described. The outdoor pools were understandably cooler because of the weather.

I commend the staff for staying as friendly and professional throughout the debacle. The room I got in the west tower was pretty nice and spacious. However, after everything else, I was really struggling to connect the value I received with how much I paid.

Overall, I don’t think I’d return unless there was a really great deal on rates.
05 November 2021 0:05
Such a great experience. The pools are worth the visit. The rooms are a little small and could do with a spruce but the hotel amenities keep you busy enough that you barely spend any time in them.
26 October 2021 17:59
Stayed here for a girls trip for the first time.

The hotel needs updating immensely. It's clean but outdated. The rooms are relatively clean, except our sink faucet leaked profusely and our bedroom lamp wouldn't turn on.
Our patio had cheerios on it from a previous guest, so that led me to believe that the cleanings aren't as thorough after each departure.

The garden needs to be maintained but was still pretty. If it was lovingly maintained it would be spectacular.

The pools were good. The staff was cleaning regularly, however there was no enforcement of masks. People in the indoor pool were without them even though it's required.

All in all a good stay. If updates were done, it would be a great stay.
15 October 2021 20:57
Everything is old and run down! Rooms are outdated, dirty and the carpets are filthy! ALL STORES CLOSED EXEPT OF ONE, Copper Room too.
All pools EXEPT of the hot adult pool, conquered by tons of kids jumping over your head!
No swimming possible for adults; this has become a cheap (not price wise) rundown kindergarten!
We have seen how this place has been ruined over the years by the new owner!
03 October 2021 12:13
Room wasn’t ready until 630 pm! Hallways full of dirty sheets and towels! Staff was not friendly. Definitely not worth it. Only good thing was the hot springs.
02 October 2021 6:39
Stayed for 4 nights, had a great time. All staff really friendly and accommodating. Meals we ate there were amazing. Hotel on the beach and within walking distance to everything. Lots to do, pools great! Only gave 4 stars because rooms really need updating although they are kept clean
14 September 2021 22:00
Exclusive location but service generally lacking. Waited 25 minutes to check in on a Sunday afternoon. Another party we were traveling with who arrived an hour later had a similar wait. Room keys stopped working twice during our stay (told to keep keys away from cell phone which we did). No room cleaning or towel delivery during stay due to COVID (makes sense but was not told during check-in). One elevator was not operational and had to wait 10 minutes to get on the only other elevator on the morning of checkout. Hotel staff offered no apologies for any of the delays and inconveniences; did not ask for feedback or even the standard “how was your stay? ” which is usually an indication that they know their service is subpar and have no intention to improve it. Overall we would probably still come back, since they have exclusive access to the best hot springs pools, but would carefully consider the price they charge and discount it accordingly based on the level of service we can expect.
11 May 2021 10:07
Went for a couple days mid week, wasn't busy maybe because of such and covid, strongly recommend right now to have the place to yourself! Had much needed rnr and staff and accommodations were above satisfactory. Do yourself a favor and take some "me" time, not overly expensive.
16 April 2021 15:30
I love this place! I only live 45 minutes away and have stayed here a few times, great little spot.
22 March 2021 23:26
Awesome eggs Benny in the breakfast place. Cool little town and nice people everywhere. Had a good time especially with the vista views from the hotel
22 March 2021 18:33
Don't bring your chromecast they told me they don't allow it for us to watch movie, wifi never works, the good thing about the resort is its own hot spring. Other than this, I would give 1star.
01 March 2019 2:47
Great place, been coming here for the last 12 years without any issues. Our experience this time around differs from the last time a bit though.so to start off we had a check in time of 4 but they didn't have our room available until 5! And then when we went in there weren't any robes and the bed sheets weren't tucked into the bed. Little knit picky things but overall good experience.
Edit: The pillows weren't the greatest (very soft) woke up with neck pain.
26 February 2019 21:55
The hot springs pools were great. My complaint is with the smell in the area surrounding our room. Fortunately our room didn't smell bad, but it wasn't pleasant walking around with different oders hanging in the air. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. The hotel was clean. If they can just make the hallways and areas around the rooms not smell bad I would give it 5 stars.

We were traveling west and decided to spend one night at Harrison Hot Springs Resort to soak in the pools. They only had the lake view rooms left when I called, but we decided to splurge on the $350 room anyway. The first annoyance came during this call when they told me they also charged $10 for parking. Really? When we arrived at the resort, the lobby wast very nice and the staff was friendly. But when we got to our room, I was appalled. This was supposed to be a premium room and it was dated, dark and dingy. The decor appeared to be from the 90's. The bathroom door was dirty and the veneer was peeling. The coffee maker and hair dryer were very poor quality. And there was no microwave. What kind of hotel room does not have a microwave? Sitting on the desk was $2.50 bottles of water, and 3 coffee pods. I have stayed in nicer rooms for $70 per night. The public areas of the resort are very nice and the pools were great. But I would not recommend this place, nor will I return
19 February 2019 22:21
My fiancé and I stayed here 11/23/18-11/25/18. I’m not a usual person that writes bad reviews but the management here is terrible and does not care one bit about their guests. So we arrived, got to check in a little early but still had to wait an hour before we could check into our room.room was not ready according to staff. Finally we got to our room. Within the first 10 minutes we get a strange call from the guest counter mentioning that one of their maids saw us bring a pet into our room. Which keep in mind we do not own a pet so my fiancé told the front counter rep, no of course. We were both shocked to get a complaint right after checking in within minutes of entering our room. Both of us confused why we received such a weird complaint at first.so the lady threatened there would be an additional pet fee of $100.00 if we receive a 2nd complaint. So after our last day we checked out of our room and received no complaints of any sort after the intial call we received on our first day. Checking out and receiving the receipt we didn’t have to pay anything since we paid through Orbitz a travel site so all was dandy there. This past weekend I checked my credit card statement and charges quite often, I see a multiple pending charges for Harrison Hot Springs Resort.first I had a pending charge for $149.87 and a second charge of $133.79. I was baffled at the charges and called there front counter at the resort and the receptionist told me she didn’t she any charges and told me that she does not know why I was charged and my account showed we paid through Orbitz travel site and did owe anything. So she passed my info on to a manager “Tabitha” was her name and said that she would call me the next morning when she’s in since she had better access to their system and could tell me what’s going on with the fraudulent charges on my card from their resort. So next day comes around no call.terrible customer service.by the way make your customer call in multiple times regarding a billing dispute. I waited and took time again to give the resort a call, spoke to an operator who transferred me to front desk manager.guess who answers. Tabitha. I ask her about the charges and she explained to me that she did not have a clue why and that there system made an error and the charges would be reversed immediately. Great answer to tell a customer “I have no clue” and she would look into it further. So again I wait and wait no call or follow up from this horrible manager again. So today I called in 12/27/2018 keep in mind that this is like the 5th or 6th time calling in and get told that someone will follow up with you.the manager.no follow up at all. So I call again and finally lucky me get to talk to Tabitha again! Yay! Mean while the Story completely changes and tells me that she did some more digging and found that I was charged $100.00 having a pet in the room.keep in mind they charged my credit card a month later. But the charge I have on my credit card is$133.79. I explained to her that we don’t own and pet and never had one in the room period. Never received a complaint just the first call within 10 mins of arriving in our room that the cleaning lady saw a pet go into the room. They warned us if there was a 2nd complaint then they would charge a fee. After our two day stay no complaints or any pets were ever in our room. After my last call with the manager Tabitha she states that there was dirt on the sheets of the bed and charged us for a pet accommodation fee. This is rediculous and not true. She called me a liar and kept talking over me stating that the charge stands and if you wanna do anything about it call your bank. I was appalled by this terrible treatment from her, I have never been talked down by a manager of a resort that I stayed at before. The customer service was absolutely the worst I have ever experienced at any resort I’ve ever stayed at. This was our first time to Harrison Hot Sorings Resort and Spa and will be our last time. I hope this review reaches the owners.

It's a really relaxing spot close to the city. A really unique getaway, with the live music and dance floor at the copper room, the outdoor hot springs, and the nice walking trails around the lake.
21 January 2019 18:16
For naming itself a "Resort" the hotel is old and hasn't been updated in at least a decade. The lobby is nice enough, but the hallways, and rooms look like something out of the shining! The hotel staff apparently have heard this numerous times before and have mentioned it to management with no change. It's a VERY kid friendly hotel, so don't expect a relaxing environment. Ended up cancelling my room and staying at another hotel down the street.
20 January 2019 20:54
Hotel and service were very good. Rooms were a bit outdated and noise passes through the walls very easily. Pools are nice and relaxing, especially at night time. Never really quiet though due to the amount of kids.
19 January 2019 12:35
We went there for the Whoville lights. There were no Whoville decorations. But the lake side walk way was decorated a bit. Hotel was nice and the kids loved the hotsprings. We wish there was indoor pool for the kids. The indoor pool is for meditation and is meant to remain quiet. The wife and I enjoy the copper room Resturant. Staff were friendly. Not much to do in town but we enjoy the area.
19 January 2019 3:44
We were on the 2nd floor west wing, room was ok for what it is. The spring pools are great, very warm and relaxing. What we were unaware of was they permit dogs in the rooms and where we situated there was 1 dog beside us and 2 across from us and it was quite disruptive when they were yapping with each other through the door when the owners were away. For $370 per night I expected better even over the busy Christmas period.
16 January 2019 7:09
We stayed in the 'heritage' tower on Dec 31st to have a night away with our family and enjoy some relaxation. Check in was easy and the staff were super pleasant. The hotel lobby and common areas looked well maintained and were nicely decorated for the holidays. This was deceiving because when we got to our room we were a bit disappointed. Walking to our room we noticed the old musty smell common in older buildings. Unfortunately our room also smelled like this and the floor was uneven and creaked. The walls are paper thin so you can hear others in the rooms beside you having a conversation. You could also hear the people in the room above us walking around. We had 4 people in our room and they only provided 6 towels. You have to use your room towels for the pool so they should've had 8 towels in the room. They also only provided 2 robes. The temperature in the room is hard to control because there's no thermostat. There's only a heating unit on the wall with a low-medium-high setting. The pools are so relaxing especially at this time of the year, but if I were to come back, I would only stay in one of the newer rooms, and if it was affordable. I paid $229 plus $10 for parking, plus taxes.
11 January 2019 17:56
We booked 2 rooms for $500 each, they are charging us $1000 per night for 5 Adults, they gave us the room 2 hours late, we got the room at 6, we didnt have robes, we had to wait 2 hours for robes. Prices has been trippled over past few years, service is getting worse everyday.
11 January 2019 16:23
We waited an hour in line to check in to be told that our room wasn't ready. We got the call that our room was finally ready at 5: 15 when check in time is 4pm, delay by an hour. I specifically requested 4 robes to be in our room when I checked in at 4. When we got to our rooms at 6: 30 there were no robes at all. We called front desk to request robes and it took nearly an hour to be brought up. For a resort where the main draw is the hot spring pools it's ridiculous that we weren't provided with even one robe in our room when we first got it, even more ridiculous that we waited an hour for front desk to bring us robes. We didn't pay over 300 to wait in our rooms.
11 January 2019 12:19
Visited the resort with my family on Christmas. We were pleased with the hospitality of this hotel even during peak season. Our requests were fulfilled and we enjoyed our stay. My favourite time was relaxing at the indoor hot pool early in the morning. It was awesome!
05 January 2019 0:36
The staff were very accommodating even when they were flooded with incoming guests. They were able to fulfill any room requests that we had. The pools were very clean and relaxing

Excellent massage at the spa and enjoyed the very friendly service at the coffee bar. Visited on Christmas day and all staff were extremely friendly and helpful
