I had my procedure on July 30th, 2021 with Dr. Wong. It was an FUT megasession of 4362 grafts. In reading this review, you'll notice that my review is very positive. However, it should be noted that I am writing this review only 3 weeks after the procedure. The review is therefore conditional on the final results I receive, although I have no reason to doubt that my results will be excellent! I will be updating this review later over the year as the final results become more apparent.

In brief, I had a great experience with H&W. I will describe in detail my experience below.

I had significant hair thinning in my crown and midscalp, as well as some mild hairline recession. As a young man in my twenties, this was naturally something that was bothering me. I used (and continue to use!) finasteride, which halted the hair loss completely but did not regrow the lost hair. I began considering surgical options. I did my research, and I was elated to learn that a world-class clinic was right in my backyard (I'm a Vancouver local). In October 2020, I emailed H&W my photos and indicated a desire to explore a possible surgical solution for my hair loss. After Dr. Wong assessed my photos and hair loss history, I received a reply wherein he opined that I was a good candidate for a procedure, and he recommended an FUT/strip procedure. I concurred with this opinion. An FUT was the cheaper option, and it was clinically preferable in my case since I was young and my balding was fairly extensive, so an FUT (which would maximize both lifetime yield and yield in the single surgery) made sense.

Nevertheless I did want to meet Dr. Wong in-person, so I scheduled a free consultation for January 2021. I was told that I would meet Dr. Wong in this meeting, but I did not (I met with a patient advisor, Chris Wilson). Chris was great, but I wanted to meet Dr. Wong, so we scheduled a second meeting. In this second meeting, I spoke with Dr. Wong, and we scheduled the procedure (an approximately 4000 graft FUT).

It was concerning that I did not meet Dr. Wong during the first consult (despite being promised otherwise), but the willingness of the clinic to correct this initial mistake was great. I later learned that sometimes the doctors are busy in surgery, and the timing cannot always be predicted beforehand since operating times are inherently unpredictable. It was around this time that I also learned that Dr. Wong is widely regarded as the "king" of crown work, which essentially sealed the deal for me.

I decided to proceed with the procedure. The surgery itself was a great experience. Everything went smoothly. The strip excision, recipient area slits and the anesthesia were done entirely by Dr. Wong, whereas the graft placement and microscopic strip dissection were done by the technicians (who were great folks to chat with, I might add!). I entered the clinic at 6: 15 AM, and left at around 5: 00 PM. I was given appropriate post-op instructions and medications, and we scheduled follow-up visits over the coming days. The healing went as expected, and it was clear upon visual inspection that the transplanted grafts were doing great.

I am excited to see my final results over the coming months. I strongly recommend H&W. For many years they have been regarded as one of the top clinics in the world, and I'm here to tell you that, even in 2021, they are still at that level.

Went to hasson and wong today, great service told me im currently not eligble for a hair transplant and perscribed me finasteride in hopes to fix the donor hair and come back in a year or so to get a transplant.

I also sent my photos to a few turkish clinics and all of which claimed to be able to do a hair transplant no problem.

I'm very impressed by Dr Wong. This is only the third day after my transplant but I have to say that I am pretty confident the surgery has been successful. I have had no need for painkillers and after my meeting the day after for a hair wash at the clinic, I actually went out for some dim sum.

He has assembled a very impressive team. In particular I would like to say that Winnie, who is one of the technologists, is outstanding. If possible one should request Winnie for both the extraction and the transplant portions of this session.

Dr Wong is very much at the top of his game. At my first interview with him I was impressed by his very modest demeanor. At the same time I could tell that he was very good. After about 10 minutes into the interview, I had already made up my mind that I would go ahead with this firm. Although the procedure is relatively expensive, I feel the extra expense (above competitors) is well worth it. Especially knowing that you have one of the best to take care of your needs.

One interesting note is that I phoned the office a few days prior to my interview with Dr Wong. At that time they mentioned that there would be a six month wait for the operation. I was kind of disappointed but went ahead with the interview anyways. When I told Dr Wong that I would like to go ahead he took me to the front reception and requested the earliest possible operation date. To my surprise, they mentioned that they had an opening in 10 days.

Dr. Hasson changed my life. My experience with Hasson & Wong Clinic was incredible right from the start. Chris made me feel comfortable and never pressured me into moving forward with an FUE transplant. After my initial consult, I decided to take my time since this was a major decision both cost-wise and life-wise. After about a year, I decided to move forwad with the FUE surgery and this was the best decision I could have ever made.

It's been about a year since my surgery and the results are as good or even better advertised. You can't even tell that the hair was taken from the back of my head and transplanted to the front. I had my hair transplant done with this wonderful team. Dr Victor Hasson and Dr Jerry Wong are the best in the world. You may pay a premium for there service but you get all that experience from them in your hairtransplant. They are very honest and will give you the right hair loss plan.

I got my hair transplant almost exactly a year ago and reflect on it as one of the best decisions I've ever made. I'm in my mid-twenties and found myself at a point where my hair loss was starting to become a little more noticeable and so would either have to live with it getting gradually worse or do something about it. I decided to take the leap and go for surgery and H&W were incredibly competent, informative and thoughtful at ever step of the process but, most importantly - when it came down to it, they did an incredible job with my FUE transplant.

I've gone from someone who wore a cap each day, dodged the rain, worried about the wind making my thinning hair look bad, to someone who never wears a cap and feels utterly confident in my hair. Yes, it's a significant procedure but, equally, these guys really know what they're doing and it's impossible put a price on the feeling of not having to think about something. And that's what the past year has been for me; gradually seeing changes to a point now where I don't even think about my new hair or worrying about things getting worse, because they look brilliant and I know they'll stay that way.

I actually had a wave of anxiety on the day of the surgery, nearly pulling out, thinking "Am I really about to take this leap? " but Dr Hasson took the time to walk me through what we were doing and calm me down and I decided to go through with it. I reflect back on that moment of panic a year ago and am so grateful I follow through because, as I said, I regard it as one of the best decisions I've made and it's saved me countless hours of worrying and stressing about something that I've finally nipped in the bud. Couldn't recommend them more highly.

James Barnett is a consummate professional. Never met Dr. Hasson or Wong, but if they are a reflection of their team, then I don't doubt they are spectacular. Unfortunately I'm a unique case, where I was not able to go through with the surgery. Placed a deposit to short of booking a flight, and in the midst we found I was not a good candidate. They fully refunded my deposit and referred me to a dermatologist for further insight. Afterwards, it turned out that I wasn't a good donor after all. Thank you James, Dr. Hasson and Christina for the professionalism and integrity that you displayed - I'm sure with the wrong doctor, this could've resulted in devastating results.

Dr. Hasson did a tremendous job with my transplant in 2004. I highly recommend them. I took a look at my pictures in 2003 and in 2021 and I was shocked at how little hair I had back then. Also, one thing I should mention (I'm not sure if it's related or not) is my hair where the transplant was done has not turned grey. It's the best thing I've ever done.

I highly recommend Hasson & Wong for Hair restoration. I booked an appointment last Oct 2020 for my hair fall issues.
