Chad O'Neill just helped us with the arrangements for my uncle and my cousin and my goodness did he do an absolutely lovely job. He was compasionate, organized, communicative through every part of the "not so fun" process of laying your loved ones to rest. I would highly recommend the Hatley Memorial crew to anyone that is needing guided support through the loss of their loved one (s). The grounds at Hatley are clean, meticiously maintained, and absolutely peaceful. Again, I highly recommend Chad and Hatley Memorial Gardens. Thanks Chad again for everything!

I just wanted to give a Big Thank You to Hatley Memorial Gardens and Sands Funeral Chapel. Not knowing what was expected of me in arranging a funeral and at the same time dealing with my emotions in the death of my mother left me feeling a little over whelmed. I met with Julie (Sands) and Chad (Hatley). Julie was lovely, knowledgeable and chatty which I found totally disarming. Chad was reserved and respectful but once in a conversation his energy and knowledge was apparent. He was very good at producing a picture of what we might like on a headstone and adapting as needed. Thanks to both of you for being there for myself and family during this difficult time.

I have been dealing with Matthew for my final resting information and he has been awesome I highly recommend him. He is very patient and listens very carefully to what I was saying and what was important to me, one thing he did not do was push me and I appreciated that to no end. I get inundated very easily and he took his time and let me talk and I think he was wonderful.

So disappointed in Hatley Memorial Gardens. My grandmother Elizabeth Sheila Cheeke's ashes were laid here in a bird bath with my grandfather's in early 2020. The scroll on the bird bath is incorrect - it has her incorrect birth year on it. And a photo of both of my grandparents was supposed to be put on the scroll. It has been over three years since this mistake and my family has requested multiple times for it to be rectified, to no avail. My grandparents paid a lot of money to make their memorial place a special place for family to visit and remember them. For years, every time we visit, we are disappointed to see that the scroll remains uncorrected. It should not take years to rectify this issue.

Matthew at Hatley Memorial Gardens was super helpful and knowledgeable in helping with a niche to put my dear friend's ashes to rest. He was compassionate and provided great information. Matthew handled a delicate family matter with grace and knowledge. I appreciate his high level of service. I highly recommend.

If there was a 0 star option that would be my rating. I came by today to visit my friend and her gravestone was gone. I am beyond appalled by this. I have attached an image with a circle drawn on it to show where her gravestone was.

Dealt with Matthew Morin and he made planning a funeral caring and not intimidating and very easy step by step on what was right for me can’t thank him enough for the care and his pleasant friendly manner to make a very sad conversation to becoming an understanding of what to expect and need to make the ones left behind have less stressed

5 years later, after the sudden passing of my mother, I'll never forget what the salesman said to me when I as asking about the cost of urns during the cremation meeting.

He said "We can put her in a peanut butter jar if you want".

NEVER, NEVER take your family here. They ONLY care about money, not your deceased parent.

My mother and I met with Bruce Simpson last week to make arrangements for her future needs. This is a difficult situation and Bruce made it very comfortable. We felt that she was heard and got what she wanted. We left with all of her arrangements in place and very happy with the experience. She is relieved to know this is now done.

Matthew M was very professional, yet made me feel like family when setting up arrangements for my mother. Everything was handled perfectly! I would highly recommend him, and Hatley Memorial.
