I got the option of Spicey or non spicey.to be cautious, I chose the latter.
It was a plate of noodles with dark gravy and some kind of shredded meat.and 3 small shrimps to satisfy my urge for something Neptuneous.
The quantity was huge, I managed to swallow about half of it, before I managed to scrape my conciousness long enough to ask myself "Why? "
The 2 fritters, for a couple bucks, looked great from a distance, but a couple of bites was too punishing to go further. I didn't tip.

Got the mee pok and tried the CKT and roti from my friend’s portion. The main drawback id say is that it feels wet/soggy. CKT could use more spice and wok hay. Roti is good, but pricey for one piece. The portions, however, are HUGE. So thats where you’re getting your money’s worth. Wish they had a selection of hot drinks such as teh or kopi

Absolutely delicious. Mee pok is one of my new favourite dishes. Hainanese chicken rice was also great, with nice chili sauce.

A tiny place with a lot of potential! They won't take your credit card though, only cash or debit.

We ordered the Nasi Lemak and Laksa. The Laksa I ordered was a bit on the sweet side and it seemed to lack a bit of salt. But it was still pretty good. I know it need more salt cause the one I had tried in Singapore was a lot spicier and had the salty umami.

The Nasi Lemak did not taste like the rice had been in coconut milk. And my wife felt like the rice also seemed undercooked, or perhaps it had dried out because the rice was quite firm.

Overall, this place has a lot of potential, but I would hope that those 2 dishes become their best executions because that is what Singapore and Malaysia are known for.

I hope you come back and try some more!

I have been a customer for a while and while we enjoyed the food, a rude and terrible encounter with the staff here led me to reconsider coming to Hawkers.

We accidentally occupied a stool that were not meant to be used due to “health and safety” but there was no sign about that.
Not only did the staff not explain to us in a proper manner but they yelled at us and did not provide an alternative for our group. We were astonished by the rudeness and left immediately.

I don’t expect service at such a place but I cannot tolerate rudeness. It doesn’t matter if the food is good if you can’t treat your customers well. I won’t be back as there are many other Malaysian/Singaporean options in the city.

I walked by this place and saw it advertised selling singapore food. Went in to try. The Fried Kueh Tiao is pretty good. The Mee Pok on the other hand is atrocious and certainly not authentic. No bathroom at this place. It accepts cash and local debit cards for payment, no credit cards. Service is minimal. Considering the menu prices, i am better off eating at the nearby Shiok Singapore, which offers better services and more authentic dishes that are yummy.

Get the laksa! It's one of the best I've ever tasted and a big portion. Inflation has caught up to this restaurant, which used to be known for dirt cheap delicious food, but the prices are still pretty cheap.

Be aware this place is the definition of hole-in-the-wall so it's all counter service and inside of the restaurant can feel pretty cramped.

First time ordering from this place based on the reviews. Had the Laksa and the Fried Kuey Teow. The Kuey Teow was actually quite decent but something was horribly wrong with the Laksa. Upon opening it there was an overwhelming rotted seafood aroma. Going against our better judgement, we decided to taste it and it was even worse than the smell. It was like a low red tide during a heat wave. We can only assume that something was not right with this order because it was inedible.

After dumping this foul dish out, we had to deodorize our whole house as the stench hung in the air for hours. Based on this first experience, we will never order from here again.

A must visit when you have a craving for delicious Malaysian food. No need for further convincing.go try it!

Some reviewers wrote about poor service, but I was pleasantly surprised: the lady with long black hair and black glasses was polite, giving wait time estimates to each customer (15-25min tonight), saying thank you as customers were leaving.
While the food was cooked to order, fresh from the kitchen, I found them mediocre: I'd have liked my sauce for hainanese chicken spicier with more ginger and garlic, less sugar. Rice was warm, but dry.
The maps tells me my last time there was 7 years ago, the prices were less than $10 back then, but now $13, I can't say it's a good value. Laksa of other customers looked and smelled nice (mostly from sambal), I'll have it next time.
The seating is crowded during dinner, so many customers opted for takeout. There's no bag fee if you bring yours. There's no restroom, but there's a sink. Free WiFi. Depit or cash only, though it's possible to order through 3rd parties like Doordash with your credit card. No free parking.

Honest review here. The food is likely Singaporean style if anything. Don't expect it to be Malaysian. Customer service can be improved quite a bit.
