Chris recently inspected a condo I had purchased in Burnaby. It was a new build so as expected, there weren't a lot of issues present. Nonetheless I was very impressed by how thorough he was. He began as soon as he stepped into the unit and kept working while the developer was showing me around. Chris even gave me some home owner tips which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend Chris for home inspections.

Chris is an extremely knowledgeable home inspector. For the home he inspected for us we already had an inspection report from the seller, but he was able to find things that were not in the other report. During the inspection he was very patient and took the time to answer our many questions. He is a pleasure to work with and we can't recommend him enough.

This review should have been completed last summer, and I apologize for my tardiness. Chris did a very thorough inspection of the home we were looking to purchase. Although the seller’s agent was rushing him, he thoroughly went through his checklist and ensured any potential problematic issues were highlighted and tested. For instance, during his inspection, he found that one of the electric switches was incorrectly connected - i.e. It turned on another light in the bedroom. Also, did I mention the well-structured and detailed inspection report he sent us by the next day?

We had our home inspection on early March 2020. He did a thorough report about interior and until outside of the ground floor. We live in a condo. Personality wise he is kind and also responsive. What we like about him was he told us things that need to be fixed, and how we can fix it in a quick or longer way.
After we moved in, we had some minor issue and we called him, although he's not the one that can fix it but he was willing to give use some directions.
Me and my husband think he is highly recommended!

Excellent work done by Chris and quick delivery of a comprehensive inspection report. He noticed much more in one morning than we would have been able to recognize in many days. If anything, his diligence may have resulted in some over-statement of a few potential hazards, raising some (in our opinion) unnecessary red flags to the insurance broker. Otherwise very pleased with the work and the report.

Chris did the inspection of my new condo in downtown. This is my first time buying a condo and I had no idea as to what to expect and how the inspection process works. Chris was very informative and was happy to walk me through things throughout the inspection process. Chris did a very thorough inspection of the apartment we were considering buying, taking ample time to explain what he was looking at and why. He educated us in a positive helpful way, so that we understood the features of our apartment and its limitations. I saw lots of great reviews about Chris online and decided to get his help to perform the inspection of a house that I have made an offer, and it was a right decision. Communicating with Chris is very easy from start to finish as he is very responsive. It started with me sending him an email with a brief description of the property that I need his help, and he gave me a quote and confirm the time. Pricing is very reasonable and he listed the fee schedule on his site clearly. My recommendation is to provide as much detail about the property as possible to Chris. In return, he explained the process very clearly so you know what to expect.

The actual inspection is very impressive. He went through everything inside and outside of the house with lots of pictures and notes (more about that later). I showed up towards the end of the inspection and he tried to spend as much time to give me his findings / observations. There are two aspects that set him apart: 1) he is really passionate about his job and truly wants to help his customers to make informed decision, and 2) he knows what he is doing as he has real life experience in constructions. When I was searching for an inspector, there are many choices out there and also many of them treat this as a side hustle (imagine someone who a realtor or insurance agent took a course and decide to be an inspector). I feel like he cares about me knowing the house more than other parties such as my realtor.

He sent us his report the day after as promised and oh boy, it is very comprehensive. The report not only has lots of photos but they are well-organized into different chapters with lots of explanations: the type of inspection, location, condition, problem, and even the materials if applicable. I read through every single page of his report and even reviewed it with a contractor that I hired to ensure all the issues highlighted will be rectified during the renovation.

His service doesn't just end there though as he would offer to answer any question I might have, which I had the day after I received the report and had my realtor to negotiate with the seller on some of the issues identified from his report. Another thing to mention is his reports are on point and fair. If there is a problem but not major, he would call that out. I had hired other inspectors before where they would love to make speculations when they did not know what else to say.

Overall, I highly recommend Chris. Buying a property is a major decision and you need to hire the right person to inspect the home.
