Very happy with Dr. Catherine Stewart. I have a large aggressive Bandog, she handled us with ease and professionalism, most would and have turned us away, due to his temperment. Very greatful and would highly recommend.

This was our third dog and today we needed to put her down. This is a VERY HARD situation and decision to make. We have been using this vet for two or three years so we called them.

Please take your dog somewhere else to have this serviced done. This very hard thing was made even harder because they didn’t sedate her well enough then took forever to put the thing in her leg. They kept us waiting ten minutes for the sedative to work and it didn’t. She was stressed we were stressed. They were loud outside the room.

They have a candle going on the front counter to announce the very private event. I’m just so upset.
Go somewhere else please

Absolutely fantastic service. Registered, admitted and seen in the same day. Vet clearly cares for her patients making time to see my sick boy when every pet owner's worst nightmare happens.

Would trust again and would recommend to anyone.

They uthernize animals without letting the owners know! Do not go to this animal hospital. There hospitality is repulsive and the Utenized my kittens without letting us say goodbye and doing any check ups on them. They said they “looked ill, and were suffering. ” Without running NO tests and when we showed up they put them to sleep.

You never see the same vet twice - they always have a new vet. Follow up calls are promised but rarely made - it takes weeks and several follow ups to to get quotes. They charge premium prices but offer sub standard service. Everyone is very nice but clearly there’s an issue with management. After a year and a half and many visits we will be taking our dog elsewhere.

Took my cat here last year and i tried to again this year but they were booked.i wanted to still write a review and say how great the service is.thank you!

I normally don't write negative reviews and actually think the service was pretty good from the Dr.and the staff. BUT 100$ for a 10 minute checkup IS ABSURD. Literally a 10 minute check to make sure my dog was healing nicely. Look. I get it that everyone needs to make money but holy smokes.

I totally not recommended this place for dog lovers. Especially when your dog is at senior's stage. No deep consideration just simply ask me to put him down 4 times in two weeks. It was an insulting experiences from what
I had. Dr. J. Ng should learn giving more her professional attitude with lots of
Caring, Compassion toward to dog and the owner. Not just put down as the easy solution

My 16 & 3 months old dog still enjoys his daily walks and his favorite food & treats.it was an impossible joke for her misjudged approached. I am so glad I didn't take her easy solution ending my seniors dog life in a wrong way.
Luckily, I had the second opinion from other vet.

Honestly If there is a choice for zero star. I definitely will take it no doubt.

Awful service. Had to bring my dog in for a leg injury and the meds they gave him weren’t working so they told me to come back so they could check him out only to send me to animal emergency. We ended up having to put him down after spend over $4500 only to have them tack on another $500 over a week after he passed for the visit they told me to come back for and gave him a nausea shot and sent us out the door. Absolutely disgusting joke of vet. I do NOT recommend this veterinary hospital. If I could rate a zero I would.

Doctor Stuart is great but I am extremely unhappy with how then price gouge you with dispensing fees. I called and requested a refill for my cats medication (full box). When I got home I realized the receptionist had given me one syringe instead of the whole box of 3 that I usually pick up. Because of this I was charged a $16 dispensing fee. I called to see if I could get the full box I asked for and pay for the difference, they said, even though it was receptionist who made the error I had to still pay the $16 dispensing fee. I am honestly disappointed as I have spent thousands on vet bills here. Also, Head to Tail already charges very high rates compared to other vets. I’ll be looking to switch vet’s because of this issue.

I’ve taken my animals and family’s animals to this vet since they opened! Great staff and vets, highly recommend head to tail!

I needed some special food for my dog! They are one of the afew places in this area that have it, I got what I needed. But the front desk staff was definitely not the friendly faces that you would expect to see! I understand maybe your day wasn’t the best but you shouldn’t take it down on a customer. I felt like they were condescending. Definitely didn’t enjoy the way this lady made me feel.

These guys / gals are great. When really needed they get the job done. Have had two cats and one dog pass through their doors and they looked after them like they were their own pets. Our current dogs are with them and they work with us when the dogs do something stupid that requires their expertise.

Nickel and dimes for everything. A dispensing fee that costs more than the pill costs? Yup. Charging for an exam 3 weeks after they just saw the vet, just to get a shot and a pill? You betcha. Over $400 for a booster shot and 1/2 a deworming pill for 2 pets. Not impressed.

I am so glad I found Head to Tail. Dr Catherine Stuart is an actual angel and I am so thankful for her!

My teacup puppy was having trouble eating, gaining weight, and regulating blood sugar. My original vet told me there was nothing wrong with her. I called the best rated vet offices in coquitlam area and none were taking patients at the time. Finally my mom suggested I take my puppy to her horse vet - Dr Stuart.

On our first appointment, Dr Stuart spent over an hour with us, learning everything she could about my dogs complicated history. She rush booked an ultrasound and bloodtest for 7 days later which found my dog has genetic liver dysfunction and her adult teeth were growing in wrong. She gave us tips to help manage my dogs liver condition and 7 days after that she had us in for surgery to remove the problem teeth. The issues were found and dealt with swiftly and safetly, and it has really improved my dogs quality of life. Since surgery she has gained weight, and eats much better which has basically solved her blood sugar issues.

Today my dog was spayed by Dr Stuart. We expected we would have to get the spay with a specialist due to her small size and liver problem, but Head to Tail felt comfortable doing it in house which saved us months of waiting and hundreds of dollars. The procedure went very smoothly, and I feel they really went above and beyond to give my dog special treatment to ensure she was safe during surgery.

All in all, my dog wags her tail and jumps into Dr Stuarts arms when we come into the office, even after needles and surgeries. At my old vet office she ran and hid. To me that says it all.

My dog is my family, and I feel my dog is treated like family at this office by all the staff I have dealt with. That means so much in a world where lots of vets will charge you 50 bucks for a 10 minute consult and barely look past the surface. Yes, it's more expensive here. But it is SO worth it to have your dog treated with love.

The vet shamed me for allowing my cat to get pregnant, was completely rude and disrespectful. Refused to spay my cat due to her not being fully vaccinated. Wanted me to administer shots on the spot then come back in 4-6 weeks for another shot, and then book her spay after. I have 5 kids at home and a business and work full time. It’s next to impossible to keep a cat in one room while waiting to be spayed. Even if the plan was feasible for me I would NEVER take my pet somewhere with zero compassion that shames pets and their owners.

I brought my dog in for her regular Cytopoint shot and specifically asked to see a vet as she is sedated prior to her appointments and has bad anxiety with strangers.

Instead, the vet tech tried to give the shot to my dog in the entry way of the clinic (not in a private room and with no vet present). The vet tech tried once, and my dog (who is 20lbs, muzzled, and sedated prior to getting into the clinic) started whining and the vet tech gave up without even touching her. Another tech came, opened the door, then tried to give the shot. The same reaction from my dog. The vet tech gave me the shot and told me to go home and do it myself. I am not a veterinarian, vet tech, nurse and have no experience administering shots so I was quite surprised to be sent home with a needle full of medication without instruction.

I sat on it for a few days then decided I needed to see a vet to help administer the shot and was very uncomfortable with what had transpired. I wrote an email requesting an appointment with a vet directly and when I was called to schedule it, I was told there was nothing the vet could do differently that the tech didn’t and there was no reason to need an appointment.

I would have given a better review and honestly respected the clinic and technicians more had they told me my dog was not a fit for their staff to work with. Instead, they danced around it and tried to make me feel bad that I hadn’t given her the shot at home by myself.

I’m appalled by the lack of respect and humanity neither myself nor my dog was shown, not just the day I went in but the follow up call that I received in response to my email requesting a direct appointment with a vet.

I was recommended to this clinic by a friend who also has a rescue dog because of their empathy towards animals who need special care, and am now disheartened to say that I would definitely no longer recommend this clinic as a safe space for animals (rescue or not).

My dog was stung by a bee and was having an allergic reaction. I couldn't reach my regular vet so I called Head to Tail to see if they could see my dog. Even though we are not clients, they squeezed us in right away. Everyone was so kind and amazing!

Excellent job on my dog Luke's Leg or lack of Leg I should say. Luke is doing Amazing! Getting around and happy again free of pain!

We recently got a puppy. I have phoned a few vets in Mission to find out what their suggested vaccination protocol would be and cost. I phoned Head to Tail Veterinary Hospital this morning to ask some questions. The receptionist was very short with me and did not welcome questions, I asked her if she had time to talk and she said only if there were no other incoming calls. I started to ask questions and she cut me off saying that it would be best if i came in for a consult with the veterinarian. I said I was sorry for waisting her time and would not bother any further. This vet cam recommended by a friend on facebook and that is why I called. I will not be calling back!

Dr. Catherine Stuart has been so much help to us. She is truly amazing at her job, very intuitive and focused on solving our pets issues. We highly recommend her! It's a night and day differing compared to our previous vet where we were just running in circles with no results and costly visits.

Have been happy with head to tail for the past 5 years, every vet is so kind and listens to our concern and works with us to come up with the best treatment plan. You can book appointments online and sign in and see what vaccines have been done and are needed on your own pets page. The late hours and weekend hours also make it flexible for us as a working family to get our dog taken care of.

The greatest vet staff we have had the pleasure to deal with. And the doctors are amazing. Dr Stewart is outstanding and we are blessed to have such caring doctors and staff with Head To Tail. Love Kona and Jumper!

Very friendly staff. One of our dogs is on a special diet and we receive a discount on the food due to our dog being a previous patient.

Head to Tail is a wonderful animal hospital. From the front desk to all the VAs and the vets, everyone genuinely cares about the sick animals. The vets and VAs are very knowledgeable and they know what they are doing. They are honest at the invoice charges and they handle the pet insurance paper right away.

One thing I appreciate is that they always follow up with you afterwards to make sure the animals are recovering. Not all animal hospitals do that.

We saw Dr. Upjohn today as my dog required his annual vaccinations. My dog (a husky) is a relatively new client (about a year) but we have had the opportunity to visit with Dr. Upjohn at another practise where he was a locum. His bedside manner and care for my dog was exceptional- one of the reasons that we have now changed vets. All staff appear to genuinely care about the pets they care for. And my dog actually seems to look forward to his visits- which is a first for us! 10 out of 10!

Nice facility and super friendly staff. They also have a Rescue program and they saved my doggo Tigger, so I will be forever grateful to the staff who donated their care and their time to give her a new life.

Best Vet I've been to in 10 years! I've visited vets everywhere from East Van to Mission trying to find one that I vibe with. Dr Rounding was exceedingly amazing. Explained everything clearly, including all options and gave what seems like an honest and professional opinion. I did not feel at all like I was being pushed or persuaded to do unnecessary tests or treatments. They were able to get me in within an hour and a half of my call, the offices where IMPECCABLE and the staff were sooooo friendly. New Favourite Vet!

Spend alot of money here! Today the vet refused to give a nail trim to my pug! Too aggressive! Actively looking for a new vet that will cut my pugs nails!

My dog needed emergency care and they were attentive and professional. They seem to genuinely care for their clients and their pets. Highly recommended.

Tricky part of this hospital.they give vaccination the shortest time and ask you come back much often. Also, the other hospital when doing vaccination, very little check fee, while this hospital charge you full! Some vaccination is 3year long, this place only give you 1 year or half year! If you are boring and like to spend $$, go this hospital, nothing wrong.if you don't want to be ripped off, go somewhere else and check!

Love this place! Dr. Rebele is the first vet that my cat Luna actually likes. He explains everything thoroughly with diagrams, and tells you upfront about the cost. The ladies that work there are all awesome and you can tell that they genuinely care. Keep it up!

Wonderful experience. We brought our new puppy in to see Dr Rounding. She spent a great deal of time addressing all of our concerns regarding feeding and vaccines.

My usual vet office was fully booked today but these guys made time for me and my kitty. They were very friendly and super helpful! Thank you Dr. Upjohn for helping my girl out!

This vet clinic has great and knowledgeable vet staff, the biggest issue we have ran into with dealing with this clinic is the poor administrative management side. We ran into a partial misdiagnosis for our cat. 600.00 dollars later, and an ultrasound to only find out it was a bladder infection.between testing and vet visit after visit.constant phone calls to determine if our paperwork had been filed properly, down to re-submitting claim after claim along with insurance information to make sure it was billed to our pet insurance properly. I'm all for being patient if things are busy, but its literally as if the staff either don't communicate with each other, or as we learned from talking with the vet directly their medical information system for keeping and tracking pet info is not serving the practice the best. (Time stamping appointment information, logging pet information etc) I feel as if constantly calling to get service or billing has been exasperating. Again, vets working here are great.but just be warned to basically do the work yourself following up on billing/paperwork.

I Want to thank the staff there and doctor that took me in when my dog was injured at daycare right away! I really appreciate it and plan to be coming there as a regular, thanks again so much!

Very impressed with the way they treated the animals that were there. Excellent& quick diagnosis for my dog, and gentle & very gentle handling of Java. Also a phone call from the vet, to see how she was doing a week later. I intend to switch vets if I am able, my vets at the moment seem to be more about the money, not saying they aren't good. But I prefer a more personal caring vet for my 2 rescues. They are a little sensitive about visiting the vet.

Dr. Upjohn is an excellent Vet. His knowledge, experience and compassion make him a Dr that you trust your cherished family member to. The staff are also a cut above also, caring and helpful. All in all it's always been a positive experience.

What an amazing experience for both my new puppy and I! I believe Sarah Grundy was our vet (new to the team) and she was exceptional. This was our first time visiting Head to Tail and they booked me in right away for our puppy’s 2nd set of shots. The appointment was quick, all the staff gave treats and hello’s along the way and made my puppy feel excited to be there. Then Dr. Grundy proceeded to sit with my puppy and get on his level and even gave me treats to feed to him while she gave him the treatments. They were very helpful in explaining options to me and not forceful at all with what choices I decided to make for my puppy. They weighed him and helped me trim his nails and then sent us on our way! Wonderful staff and clean place. Vets are always pricey so I’m not even going to add that in. But I thought it was a reasonable price for the service and medication. Just had to write a review because the staff and facility really deserves it!

My dog needed to be looked at right away she was swelling right up around the muzzle and it was moving down her neck. Husband rushed her to our vet who sent him here. They took them right in and helped her. I am forever thankful for this place.

Came here as I was going to an awful vet before. SO glad I made the choice to come here, doctor was SO informative and helpful and seemed to really care about my dog, he went above and beyond to help me and my dog fix the mistakes of my previous vet. Thank you!
