We have been going to se Dr Maja ever since we got Riley almost 9 years ago. Her expertise in raw diet and holistic care is incredible. Her bedside manner is so soft and gentle. Perfect for the nervous pet. We absolutely love healing paws.

The staff and doctors really care for your pet. They take the time to explain everything. They also give you options. One solution does not fit all.

This was our first visit to Healing Paws, Dr Maja and her staff were fantastic. Dr Maja was very thorough and answered all of our questions and she had a excellent understanding of our dogs' condition. We are very pleased with the care and service we received.

Doctor Gill, was an exceptional help in figuring out why my kitten had diarrhea. Gave me peace of mind.

I have been taking my dog here since he was a puppy, so for about six years. Over the years I noticed that the quality of the service you get from this place has been declining substantially. Over the past year and a bit the vet decided to completely avoid contact with pet owners (including by phone, so no covid excuse here) and spends very little time explaining anything. Her supporting staff are incompetent and already gave the wrong medication to my dog a few times, as well as charged me incorrectly for treatment and failed to send me important information. They also failed to give my dog’s allergy test results, which by the way, are insanely expensive, and the vet did not even spend much time explaining the results to me.

My dog also had an emergency once, and the results were sent to this lunch, but the vet never bothered to call to check in him.

I referred many of my friends to this clinic over the last six years, but will definitely not be referring anyone else here anymore and will be looking at taking my dog to the Barn Door vet clinic instead.

I really felt my dog was in the best care here. They are open to more holistic healing with modern medicine as well. I also felt i wasn't being pressured into unnecessary treatments and strongly appreciated how they express what they feel is important and why and what we can wait on. Some previous vets I felt were a push on over vaccinating (my opinion) and unnecessary tests and medications. I dont feel that push here at all. You can feel their love of animals and can tell are continually educating themselves on animals care and new studies.

Excellent covid precautions. Dr. Alex took the time to explain everything to us over the phone regarding our pup's diet and health. All of the staff we dealt with were friendly and professional. This clinic came highly recommended to us from other dog parents, and we definitely see the value in making the drive out this way! Thank you!

One of the few vets we trust! We try to go here for all our dogs issues. We trust Dr. Maya and her team. Although it might be hard to get an appointment last minute due to how busy they are, they try their best to contact you about cancelations and keep in touch for questions. Very useful to text them anytime and they will respond. Pricing is very typical for any good quality Vet, they aren't pushy and will let you decide what you want for your pet. Vey supportive of your decisions

Dr Maja is the best! My dog was limping, not walking on her hind leg. The emergency vet said torn ACL and rebooked for a visit with the surgeon. After seeing doctor Maya for her annual visit, her diagnoses was much more logical as a patella laxation, recommending natural food additives and doing lazer therapy and all natural injections to heal. Much happier not being rushed to surgery. Doctor maya really takes her times and gives u the option to test before rebooting on shots for your adult dog. I love that this vet wants whats best for the dog, not just pumping them full of vaccines each year.actually testing to see if its required. BEST VET I HAVE EVER HAD

Just looked for a new vet clinic. Due to Covid polices, I was not allowed to enter in with my pup. Requested vet for a blood test and a thorough check up as it’s been about a year, new to Vancouver, and I wanted to make sure my pup was in good health. Paws and legs appeared to be not touched even though I was charged for blood work. Although I have faith in the services completed, any evidence would have been great as I wasn’t allowed in the hospital. (Photos or any other way to confirm would have been greatly appreciated). When calling back as I was expecting blood work to leave a mark from the injection, since there was no evidence, there was no way to confirm. As veterinarians are costly, it’s just something to consider before requesting extra services for a fee. Otherwise, the staff were professional and I have confidence in their knowledge and services. The veterinarian did call during the procedure to finish up and consult for any extra requests. Overall, I am satisfied with their service for what I paid.

I've tried a couple different vets for my dog's shoulder injury and this was by far the best. The staff are so friendly and accommodated my dog's anxiety, and I loved how Dr. Maja offered multiple suggestions for remedies instead of just defaulting to expensive procedures and surgery like other vets have. I feel like my pet is in good hands here!

For my dogs emergency, they squeezed me in before closing for long weekend. Ran all the tests and gave me piece of comfort knowing she will be ok. Dr Maya is so caring and she would always make time to listen to all my concerns and questions. So thankful healing paws is in Port Moody.

Wish I could give more than 5 stars! Their customer service, knowledge and expertise is top notch! The vet is beyond amazing! He's very personable and answers any questions you have for him! They've given my boy Zoe a better quality of life (for a 17yr old with a malignant tumor in his mouth) thank you thank you Healing Paws?

Hidden costs and overpriced. Been going here for 6-7 years and always been weary of their high costs but paid for insurance to offset these costs. My dog was recently in to have a tooth removed which for the most part is covered by the insurance. Had a consultation and they said they would need to clean the area before removal. Pretty standard. Sounds legit. No mention of additional costs. They proceeded to clean the whole mouth while he was under sedation then charged nearly $500 which is not covered by insurance. Unnecessary. Especially in the middle of a pandemic knowing many people are out of work. I refuse to believe they have no knowledge of what is covered by insurance and what is not. On top of that I have since got some quotes from other local vets saying that the almost $2000 they charged for extraction and treatment is at the very top of what it should have cost. Will not be going back after this. “We spare no expense” should be hung above their doors

Best vet I have ever had. They have always taken care of my two little dogs. Dr Maja really cares and it really shows. I don't trust anyone else with my dogs! I moved 2 years ago and I still drive over an hour to get to them rather than switching vets!

I travel from West Vancouver for healing paws. I have not found a vet that truly cares like Dr. Maya. Will not go anywhere else for my dogs.

They care for my dog.
Dr Alex is knowledgeable about shapei.
But they are bit on the expensive side.

Helped us massively with our puppy every time we had health scares/when we got him neutered. Great quality.

BEWARE! I've been at this vet for almost 8 years which you think would mean something but it does not. I took my english bulldog in to get his ear canals checked to see if they were open in order to administer drops. The vet tech without checking his file and after i told her not to cleaned my dogs ears with a solution! He is prone to ear issue thats in the file and Dr. Maya is well aware of so no liquids in his ears.
She brought him out after doing this and he was shaking his head violently i asked why his ears are wet and she told me what she had done? I said "I told you not to put any solution in his ears" She said sorry i will take him back and dry them then what she did was put drying solution in his ears, another solution! We took him home and he never stopped shaking his head after about 30 minutes he started to overheat himself. We took him in the shower to try and cool him and calm him it did not work he started turning blue! We rushed him to the emergency hospital after a night there in a oxygen kennel he was better but still critical. He had 90% of his lungs filled with fluid (saliva and vomit) it was touch and go.
The next day we got him from the emergency hospital and took him to DR Maya so they could monitor him for the day and administer meds to clear his lungs.
After that we spoke to DR Maya about it all she did not take any responsibility for her team (just defended there actions) and in the room with my wife actually said to us "you know Bongo could still die! " which caused my wife to start sobbing. We were well aware of this but she was so callous and cold and i think more concerned about the blame and money at this point. We spent over $3300 because of this situation and she refused to cover any of the cost but some minor office fees.
I will never go back there and i will tell everyone i know my opinion of healing paws and I've lived in the tri cities for over 25 years so my voice will reach plenty.money first at healing paws!

Dr Maja and her staff are great. She gave us hope when a specialist told us to put our dog down.

Absolutely wonderful Vet office. You can tell that both Dr. Maja and Dr. Alex care so much about the animals and it is really helpful that they offer holistic options (acupuncture, laser) in conjunction with western medicine. I bring both my dogs there and they used to fear going to the Vet, but since switching over, they are excited when they see us pull up and all the staff are always so friendly, welcoming, and compassionate. Recommend without hesitation!

Caring and transparent with good follow ups post treatment. The fact they don’t immediately try to stuff antibiotics down your pets throat before diagnosing the issue is already a huge step up from our previous vet!
