A park right in the middle of anywhere you don't expect one is always great.

Not much of a park. Mostly a path to walk past. No playgrounds, and the fountains are never on or working. One bench that I can remember, and it's usually occupied by someone sleeping on it.

This tiny green space got some Woody Allen vibes at summer dusk with the lights - so dreamy and romantic

A tiny park in Yaletown. It is more like a plaza with some plants and trees. There is a water fountain that needs to turned on. It would much nicer if it was always on. There is a bit of grass to hang out on.

Tucked amid the old and new brick buildings of Yaletown, Helmcken Park is a wonderful place to enjoy a coffee on one of the shaded benches. This plaza-style park is overflowing with flowers and foliage; the summer blooms of the exotic Mimosa trees are not to be missed.

Best pocket park for scent in Vancouver. Somebody planted sarcacocca and daphne everywhere and it smells divine winter through spring. Really nice shrubbery in general, whoever planned the planting in it, bravo. I just wish it was bigger.

More of a shady pathway with two benches but strangely no litter cans.

Today I eat my lunch in what is likely the smallest park in the World called Helmcken Park.

It is nestled between two major streets, with trees on all sides, and cobble stone walkway for a small town secluded feel.

They have several wooden benches to sit on, and despite some dog walker traffic, it was quiet which is exactly what I was looking for.

I would definitely eat my lunch here again, although it sits on the fringe of downtown it is still easy to walk to within 15 minutes of Granville SkyTrain station. It is difficult to find park spaces in downtown Vancouver without going to the fringe of downtown or beyond, so this one is going onto my list of parks to visit!
