25 November 2021 2:49
Great variety. A little crowded, and no distancing enforced. Went to get some BBQ pork and some snacks and sandwiches. No one spoke English very well or in some cases, at all. Need at least 1 to translate.
03 November 2021 6:56
My favorite place to go grocery shopping. They have all I need from red hotdogs to pandesal. I like going in the early morning since parking is kinda difficult when you go there and less busy.
27 October 2021 15:56
Staff don't speak English. The owners treat the staff like a slave which they only allow 1/2 for lunch but no two 15 mins break.
21 October 2021 16:17
Very nice, very friendly. I will love to tell my friends to go to hangloung. Fresh veggies fruits and groceries. Every thing at one place.
16 October 2021 9:03
My favorite place to shop Asian produce and Sea food. Lots of varieties to choose from and affordable. Very popular among people looking to purchase asian commodities not available in other super markets. Highly recommended.
13 October 2021 11:21
I gave 5 stars because they got whatever I wanted and even wasn't in my grocery list I bought it because can't refuse to buy when it looked so good so the best place for me to buy my ingredients
13 October 2021 7:13
Great source of Asian veggies. Lots of hard to find foods like soup stocks spices. Good frozen selection. Variety of fresh and dry noodles. Good vendors for food and upstairs for household goods
30 September 2021 9:29
Its one of the places I’d go everyday to shop since they have the most grocery items that I would need in a daily basis
14 September 2021 18:02
If you're in the area and are looking for Asian related groceries, this is the place. They've got everything. From vegetables to meats, sauces and spices, noodles and snacks, they have it all. Come see for yourself.
08 September 2021 6:33
Great place for fresh meat, fish, vegetables and fruits at lower prices than the big chain stores. Love the smaller merchants for Vietnamese, Philippines and other Asian delicacies.

Extremely bad customer service. Today, Jun04,2021 at 2pm, my mom and I came to Henlong market. My mom wants to use washroom, and I asked the cashier lady in upstairs to open or give me the key of washroom, but she didn't listen. I continue to ask her 6-7 times because my mom is old, over 70 years old, but she always said "door is open". Unfortunately, it's not. Other staff told me to ask her again, but she ignored. She doesn't care about old people. Very very bad customer service and no responsibility person.
17 August 2021 7:57
It is well stocked southeast Asian market. Due to covid, some items are not available. Less export from other countries I guess.
02 August 2021 20:48
Poor fresh meat selection. I went to get a pound and a half of beef for stir fry and came home with only a pound. Also you have to pay for the meat at the meat counter with cash which is very odd. The guy was wearing gloves, and handling the meat, I sure hope he is keeping those gloves seprate from meat handling gloves. Also the entire store is very disorganized, making it very difficult to find anything. On the plus side they do have some southeast asian products difficult to find elsewhere. Not much parking either.

Product selection is excellent. Carries a wide assortment of products from Asian countries other than just India, China and Korea. Prices are reasonable.
01 July 2021 17:24
I was so excited shopping here again for my favorite asian veggies, asian ingredients for my dessert. Thanks for the free bag of indo mie. And the mini butcher shop for free bone soup.
07 June 2021 20:11
I love this place with that Asian atmosphere. They have everything you need as far as seafood goes as well as meat. Don't forget to visit the second floor to find kitchen and other household products. Also, I enjoy the small shops inside where I can buy dessert, ready to eat food from the Philippines, etc.

I wish I lived closer but I live in Mission, BC. Nonetheless I do go to Henlong market everytime I go close to the area where they are located.

I love this place. I've been coming here for over 20 years. Even when it was a tiny convenience store. It's wonderful to see them constantly grow.

I do wish they had more boneless meat options, but that's easily fixes by walking to the meat shop across the street.

Henlong has wonderful selections of southeast Asian sauces and noodles. I can always find my thai stuff here.

Great for rare and hard to find Asian ingredients and drinks etc. Decent bakery too. Meat is sold like a separate cash only store within the store which is weird and inconvenient, and seeing as it's not even cheaper than T&T, city avenue, or 88, there's no point getting meat here. You'd think the cash business model (which implies they're cheating on taxes) would make it cheaper but apparently not. Has a takeout spot too and upstairs has all kinds of kitchen stuff. Pretty much a one stop shop for a lot of needs.
20 April 2021 22:07
Always crowded, needs a bigger parking space.

Would not recommend going during the covid season as there is really not alot of space, everyone is bumping shoulder to shoulder.
10 April 2021 15:53
I can never forget the best dessert I've ever had which was from here.a fruit tart which I hope might return one day and yesterday I tried a bunch more of the baked goods with pandan, taro, purple yam, mung bean and durian and my sensitive body feels great after having them
07 April 2021 16:03
Dirty place, doesn’t follow covid rules and so crowded. Rude workers mostly in the bakery area.
26 March 2021 21:52
It's been a long time since I visit Hen long, all kinds of groceries are in store you can buy international food and all that you need in your kitchen are here The parking space are big lots of car can park. It is accessible by bus and your own car. The store associates are friendly and if u asked they will surely answer politely.
24 March 2021 9:45
Good variety of asian products you can’t find elsewhere. If you know what you need you can be in and out of here quickly. If it’s your first time, good luck! There is no such thing social distancing here.
22 March 2021 6:01
Went on a weekend. Very crowded. No social distancing measures whatsoever. I felt very uneasy being in there with that many others.
21 March 2021 13:13
Definitely an upgrade over the years but it is still very crowded and tight between the aisles. I came on a Monday afternoon and most of their items were not restocked which I was bummed out about. Overall a good place to check out for your Asian produce needs.
20 March 2021 21:10
Only good thing here is the jack fruit and basa fish. Smells awful otherwise and basically a place to catch fresh covid with the amount of ppl allowed inside
18 March 2021 14:08
Came here for the first time because was closer than T&T market for my Tom Yum soup supplies, and not only did they have fresh galangal, lemon grass, but also had fresh lime leaves, which for me aren't always in stock. Impressed with the price, freshness and variety of produce available, would shop here again for sure. If you shop at the seafood counter, you have to pay debit, cashier till accepts credit cards though.
17 March 2021 17:22
There are a variety of asian food stuffs. Cheaper prices too.it is recommended if you are lookibg for Asian food, grocery items, delicacies.
16 March 2021 3:45
This place has some pretty exotic vegetable and fruits that are not normally found in typical asian supermarkets. I like how this place embraces the Chinese culture as witnessed in the god altar as soon as walking inside. This place has 2 floors: bottom for food and top for housewares. I enjoyed roaming around the bbq meat display case where Peking duck and bbq pork are hung. This place is a must go if you need to buy some Asian plants like bamboo, pothos, for that fengshui concept home. It is a great place for pantry items like tamarind paste, shrimp sauce, Vietnamese spring rolls, pandan extract, fish cakes, agar agar, frozen lemon grass block, Chinese sausages. If you like this review please give me a thumbs up
11 March 2021 16:56
I get my seafoods here because they are cheaper. Fruits and vegetables are also fresh and have a larger variety to choose from. They also sell filipino cooked foods.
02 March 2021 5:51
I was here today and I saw with my own eyes that there were no 6-foot distances between customers.
16 February 2021 11:39
This is the go to market for almost all Asians in BC. Some items are pricey but it all depends on the season. Fresh fruits from the Orient are always available. Come and check it out
09 February 2021 3:27
The security guard on the front door is really rude.
People tend to forget, but you should remind them nicely.
24 December 2019 9:00
Very good selection of products, however its always so busy and most of their enployees arent to good with english. Most of the time they dont really talk
22 November 2019 0:07
We've been going to this market since 2013. It has many Asian ingredients not found in your typical Wal-Mart. It can get very crowded during the weekends though. I recommend going during the weekdays.
04 November 2019 21:47
I love Henlong?
It is a little cluttered sometimes but they are very busy for a small space.
You can always find great deals.
04 November 2019 6:59
I like this place and go shopping here regularly as I live close by, but the parking.that leaves a very undesirable taste in my mouth. It's rather annoying trying to find a spot or even get in the lot. People double park on the regular and it's absolutely frustrating.
03 November 2019 15:16
Good selection of Asian items.some of which you can only find here! They also have a bakery that bakes fresh pandesal (Filipino buns), a place that makes Viet subs and desserts, a bubble tea place (that also makes taho - tofu dessert), a Filipino food takeout counter, and a place that sells BBQ (anything from BBQ pork to a whole roast pig!)

It's kind of a one stop shop. Some items are expensive, but the convenience is priceless and unmatched.
01 November 2019 8:08
Great market, can find all your asian food needs for a great price. Very busy but overall a great place to shop! We love going here.
26 October 2019 9:53
Have been happy with this market for a while till today happened, and used a cart bought meat put them in the cart then paid for them while inside, took some vegesand line up in the counter, the woman in the till all of a sudden raised her voice telling me not to bring the cart out, and telling me that I always bring the cart out. Saying it in a rude way, told her that I never bring the cart out and told her that she must be mistaken. I only left the meat in the cart but it was not my intention to bring the cart out. She was so hyper and rude. To my disgust I removed the meat and told her that the market will lose customers if she continues to be rude to them.
20 October 2019 2:10
Loved the variety and freshness of vegetables on sale.
Yes. Don't forget to browse the fresh crabs and fish on sale.
25 September 2019 5:35
I liked this place. I bought frozen leather jacket fish (pomphret) from here. Was surprised to see spice mix from Indonesia, malaysia. Etc. There was a section for fresh sea food. Live crabs and all. I had very little time so just quickly browsed through. Could not see what was on the first floor. Will visit again.

Henlong Market has a very wide variety of Asian groceries, I feel leaning towards Chinese, Filipino, Vietnamese, Malaysian, and those areas. Japanese and Korean elements are also generally available, but let's evenly distributed in all categories. Vegetables are fresh and well priced. Didn't buy meat here, but the client interaction at the butcher area seemed friendly and the products looked good. Upstairs is an interesting housewares section. Very eclectic and fun to look through: bulk packaging take out containers for restaurants, I'd imagine, unique Japanese and Chinese made kitchen items, interesting array of rice cookers, instantpots, and other small appliances, items for worship and honouring for Buddhist practice, bulk boxes of cheap noodles, cooking oils, and cleaners. We spent and hour just browsing and ended up with some unexpected gems like a $17 Korean made tamagoyaki pan that is well made and well priced. Worth a browse. Parking can be a bit tight, so don't bring your Ford F350 Super Duty and expect to find ready parking:)
