Hillcrest Bakery & Deli

I have a life long tradition for a Black Forest Cake on my Birthday (Dec 31). It's not the easiest cake to find and when you do, the traditional ingredients are often changed. We recently moved to Blaine, WA, (not known for its culinary fair) and found Hillcrest Bakery a few miles north of the border. I read a review from a customer complaining about a dry Black Forest Cake they ordered. Despite the poor review we decided to give Hillcrest a try. SIMPLY PUT - IT WAS THE BEST #BLACK FOREST CAKE we ever had, and the staff was amazing. Thank you Hillcrest for making a perfect cake for my 65th Birthday.

I ordered a Black forest Cake for my wife's birthday. Very disappointed. The Cake was very dry and disappointing. When a called the next day I was told oh that's too bad I'll let the bakers know so they can do better. I had suggest to Take my Name and number so they could call me. Now 2 days later not a word to say sorry or how can we make it better

This is a true bakery. This harder to find then one would expect these days. They clearly focus on the integrity of their product. So many delicious classics. There is a huge variety of bread and baked goods here. I appreciate their selection as well as focus on respecting tradition. Extremely impressed with Hillcrest.

Hillcrest Bakery Christmas dinner was perfect. They easily changed the pick up date for us, due to weather problems. Thanks for saving our Christmas dinner Hillcrest!

To add to the already fantastic menu of baked goods and deli foods the holiday menu of a all the trimmings turkey dinner. Mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing and carrots, light and dark meat and cranberry sauce! For dessert I chose the butter tart, the pumpkin tart was the other choice. On top of being enough for two good sized meals they delivered it to my door yesterday. Worth every penny, so next holiday Christmas I’ll do it again.
