After bringing this to the attention to the front desk we were told that there is nothing that could be done. They were only giving us a refund or if the kindness of their hearts. If you don't accept pets, don't advertise that you accept pets. People with pets are not second class citizens and should not be treated poorly because of it.

Everything was pretty good, except being told that they do not allow pets. We choose this place because the website advertisers for pets. We were given a dirty room, with dog hair on the counter. The couch pulled out with dirty sheets, bugs, and the bed was unmade. There was a shower curtain for a bedroom door. When we tried to get out money back, they told us that it could take up to 2 weeks, if it even happens. What a disappointment.

Just passing through and needed somewhere to stay for the night. It turned out to be a good choice. Breakfast was good, lots to choose from.

Short version, hotel seems nice. Construction ongoing while my self and colleague stayed there. The Pool Was not accessible even though their website said it was open.

My colleague did not have hot water in his room. Also, The front desk was adamant that we had our truck onsite and needed to have it removed. We were not there. It was someone else's truck same colour differ make and model. They did not bother to check the license plate.they went as far as calling my boss to tell him he needed to get the truck moved. Extremely inconvenient, could have easily solved by checking the license plates.

When addressed the following day with the front desk manager Julie. She was very combative and Half hearted apologetic. She when as far as to say "it happened, sorry, is what it is".

I chose not to continue the conversation with the front desk manager. She seem to have very little decorum and seems to be used too talking down to people.well, quaint hotel, subpar front manager, construction, annoying phone calls, no hot water.that sums it up

Excellent Service, great room and the breakfast was much more than continental. Staff were fabulous and went out of their way to be accommodating. We ended up staying 5 nights and would absolutely return. The room was quiet and the view from our window was stunning.

Pool side room was very nice. Enjoyed a late swim and hottub. Excellent hot breakfast included. Lost one star due to everything needing a little (very little) more cleaning maintenance.

Great small hotel. Wonderful breakfast included. Beautiful pool. Easy access to hwy and town. Super friendly staff.

As a family of seven, we stayed two nights here on our way down to Vancouver from the mountains. The hotel is well situated in a quiet spot outside the centre of the town. Numerous people were being accommodated here following evacuation due to forest fires, but everything was well managed and calmness prevailed. We were really pleased to have stopped here and to have had the opportunity to explore locally a little.

We have enjoyed staying here now several times. Great pool is what it comes down to. Kids love it. Their breakfast is good for free breakfast too.

Someone else’s body hair in the bathroom and blood on my towel. Beds are horrendous. Front desk didn’t care. Only wanted to offer me 10% off the next time I stay. Useless offer as I will never stay there again.

Waited for half an hour to speak with a receptionist after following the instructions to keep pressing the “locator button” we were met with a very rude and unwelcoming individual who was reluctant to provide a name at first but finally revealed as “Lovepreet”

Basing this on my interaction with the front desk worker. Extremely rude, unhelpful and unwelcoming.

"Our website isn't up to date" "well book it online and hope you don't get 2 double beds instead of the queens" "haha yes you can speak to the manager but he'll just give me the phone back haha".

Was excited to give this hotel a try and will be looking for a different spot instead. Shameful.

The General Manager then said he would call me back and never did. If provided with an email address, I'd be happy to send screenshots and details in regards to the conversation I had with the person who picked up the phone. The phone call was heard by many of my colleagues and the arrogance and rudeness of your employee was noted by all.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and really represent the Hotel well.

The rooms are in need of paint!
Very large rooms, but the beds are extremely uncomfortable and are way too soft

Nice staff, cool place. The only thing I would suggest would be to list the types of bread, white and whole grain.

Have never stayed here, but heard it's pretty good, with a really good restaurant on bottom floor!

It's covid so the experience would be different if it wasn't. Other than that - room is HUGE, clean and bed super comfy. Close to Northlands Cidery which is a major plus for us.

Would have to agree with the poor reviews below. The pool is the only reason this place gets any traffic. Guests were drunk and dogs running around outside. Pictures are super deceiving because our room was not very clean (e.g. Dust behind every piece of furniture, dead insects), there was a hole in the bathroom door, stains on the walls, in sink and tub, and an uncovered light socket. In desperate need of being updated. When we mentioned our issues, we did get 20% off but staff didn't seem engaged or care. Even my children were grossed out. Do yourself a favour and give this one a pass.

Amazing hotel. Clean, comfortable, good price and the free breakfast is amazing.

The pool is the only reason this place gets any stars. The rooms were not very clean at all and it seemed to have indicators of bed bugs (see pics) sheets and pillows were torn and old, there was mold on the bathroom wall and bugs in the shower. Just not a comfortable room with all that going on. Even my dogs stayed by the door and didn't want to be in the room. The pool is surprisingly amazing and maybe they think this will distract people. I wouldn't choose this place again.

Where do I start. This is at best a 2 star hotel. Photos on website are deceiving. Pool was closed when I was there. EV parking not marked so gas vehs parked in spots. Sheets were torn. Free buffet breakfast is very limited and if you want any meat it is $3 extra. Juice also extra. Sinks were stained. This place is in need of an upgrade. To make things worse the staff and manager didn't really care. They offered 20 percent off our next stay but that isn't compensation as we will never stay here again.

It was a Compted room from the last time we went nothing changed. Actually might have been worse we got a jacuzzi suit. Problems 1 rips in house coat, 2 shower handle not connected, 3 mold in shower around base I wiped it with a cloth, 4 window lock broken off, 5 cob webs on 2 of the lamps in the room and a cob web in corner, 6 food and dust bunny's under the bed. Then the restaurant I got a steak dinner asked for no onions waitress knew we were in a rush walks my steak to me and see the onions all over it and says oh you asked for no onions. Then the wall beside our table was dirty with food the next day the food was still there. We order breakfast and the bowl of fruit had little black specks in it the waitress wanted to argue about why it was there. Cutlery was dirty. So all and all best thing about the stay was the pool the 2 kids who snuck in were Hilarious. The front desk staff was nice. I will not recommend this hotel to anybody ever not until the cleaning staff actually dose their job but I don't think I'd ever find out because I don't think I'd pay for another stay here. Wish I would have gone somewhere else for my 5th anniversary. I got pictures of it all we will see if this review will allow me to post them

Not the best I have ever stayed in. The room we had seriously needs new beds. Better than sleeping in our car. I complained about the bed and they gave 10 % off. The continental breakfast was a joke. They wanted $1.00 for a slice of bacon. Won't stay there again.

Love staying here. Have made it into a annual trip. This trip was interrupted by the fires and we left early but definitely will be back

It was a lovely stay. For the price, the staff and amenity are very great. Will definitely stay again in the future!

Excellent pool for the family. Kept the entire clan happy all day long, unfortunately we had gone to the water slides but I would save save your money. Rooms were clean and well equipped and the included breakfast was nice. Staff all treated us very well, including the young man serving breakfast.

Brought friends to Bistro 1406 for dinner. Was great, excellent corner table where we could visit and laugh. Great food, super service. Would have liked more choices on the menu

Pros - outdoor pool is amazing! Location is great, noisy traffic if you face the highway. But if you keep windows closed it’s no big deal.
Cons - they changes a over $500 in charges on my credit card when the room was pre paid by hotels.com. Almost a week later and still waiting for the refund.
* Elevator was not working the day we checked it. We had to lug all our luggage (a lot! We have a 11 month old baby) up the stairs in masks to our room. Only to have been given the wrong room keys.
* our bedding was full of dried blood. It was very obvious on the pillows so I’m not sure how the cleaning staff did not see it.
* the phone in our room was unable to call the front desk. A hassle when you have to go downstairs to ask simple questions.
* front staff wasn’t very knowledgeable, ALTHOUGH they were very polite.
Given that. We would stay here again based on the location and pool.

Clean and well run. It would be nice if they had a bag breakfast option as 7am is late for people travelling or working.

Decent hotel. Clean rooms. Bedding wasn’t very soft and the room was chilly. Breakfast was ok. Very quiet. Can see why it’s popular.

This place is a Gem, by pass the others and go straight to the Hill Top you will thank me! Clean comfortable and great food

Really impressed with this hotel. Staff is really friendly and professional, the restaurant offers a good variety of dishes, parking lot is spacious, the room was cleaned, the bed was really comfortable and the bathroom recently renovated! Our room had a private balcony facing the pool which I am pretty would be lovely in the summer months!

I stayed at the hilltop about a month ago with my partner, while the stay was half decent the staff there was not up to standards, particularly one mostly, though I can’t seem to remember his name. I was staying in the outside rooms and for some reason I had felt very uncomfortable by the man working outside, he seemed nice enough but was getting to the point where I felt completely uneasy he wouldn’t stop staring and getting closer as he talked at one point even putting his hand out to grab my shoulder I felt like constantly locking my doors and watching everything behind my back. I will not be back and refuse to recommend anyone I know to this place.

We rolled into he Hilltop Inn and right away you got a sense of a level of quality which is hard to find.
Rooms and bedding are in excellent condition.
In person service is personal and genuine.
The in house restaurant/ bar.great vibe and great food (a little more daring on the spicing would complement the food)

Very disappointed with our server she had no etiquette what so ever.
Set the tone bad right from the outset.
My husband explained in detail he was a coeliac and she bought him a bread roll, he said I can not eat that, then she slung it on the table and said well someone else can have it.
My husband and Brother in law ordered a second drink and she said there's no more of them.
We all ordered different items not one was great.
My Sister ordered the portabello mushroom stuffed with spinach and Asiago cheese it came with Grilled cheddar on top which was not on the description and made it very greasy.
Will not be going back and certainly will not recommend this restaurant.

Not very clean. Stains on the blankets, and the rooms were not sound proof. You can hear people walking around above. The breakfast they give you is not great. The pool was great and clean and hot tub is 2 person limit. Bring your own soap, they use the cheapest soap with polysorbate-20 in it.

This place is a dump the room smelled and was not clean. The bathroom had spiders and was dirty. We left after 5 mins will never go back. The staff at reception was the only thing nice about the place.

The price and the room was great. The sofa bed wasnt stripped from the last visitors. But the front end gentleman quickly came in and changed it and got us everything we needed to be comfortable. It was fantastic to have an option for 2 king beds in 1 room. With toddlers, it was a great rest. I wish that had some yummier options for continental breakfast. Pretty gross.
