A great non pressured sales experience by Slava, Laura and the service team at Vernon Hilltop Subaru. Everything from the financing to the insurance to purchasing winter tires was done right there at the dealership. Disappointing Service Experience - Misdiagnosed Issue

I recently visited Vernon Subaru on March 16th to have them diagnose a clunking noise coming from my vehicle while turning. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming.

However, my experience with their service department left much to be desired. I came to the dealership specifically to address my concerns about the CV axle being the source of the issue. Unfortunately, it seems my concerns were either not heard or ignored.

After an hour of diagnosis, I was informed that the rear wheel
hub assemblies were in bad condition, and my brakes needed replacement, resulting in a hefty $2,500 quote. Despite paying $200 for the diagnosis, they never addressed the original clunking noise issue related to the CV axle. The only information I received was about my brakes and rear wheel hub assemblies,
making it essentially a $200 rear wheel hub assembly diagnosis.

No chance id get them to do the real work, i replaced the rear hub assemblies myself at a fraction of the cost. However, this did not solve the original problem, further confirming that the initial diagnosis was incorrect.

While communication and follow-up from the dealership was appreciated, I was not satisfied with their premium-priced service. It seemed they were more focused on generating a repair bill rather than addressing my primary concern. Unfortunately, I will not recommend Vernon Subaru for service due to the misdiagnosis and potential for additional costs without resolving the original problem.

Everybody at this dealership seems genuinely friendly. Although in the end we decided to hold off on getting an electric vehicle at this stage, Darren was absolutely amazing to deal with. He really listens to people which can feel rare at some dealerships so I'd strongly recommend anyone in the market for a Subi to get in touch with him.

10 out of 10, would recommend. After calling about 10 dealerships, Hilltop was the one dealership who could set me up with a 2023 Crosstrek. Kudos to them!

Worst service I have ever received. Billed me for service on a repair that Hilltop couldn't do because they didn't have the part. I was told the part would be in by the end of the week (Which was important as I was heading over the Rockies mid-winter the following weekend.). Billed and paid for the part in advance. End of the week, no part.middle of the following week, no part. End of the following week, the part arrives and service manager at Hilltop tells me they can't install it for at least two weeks. I asked why they didn't book me in when initially ordering the part? Service manager literally couldn't care less. I called CAP-IT, asked if they could do it Friday afternoon as I was heading for Calgary Saturday morning. Dave the owner understood the situation. He invited me over and even though the shop was busy, he had it done in 1/2 hour. As of now all my repairs and servicing go through Vernon's CAP-IT. They've never let me down. Next week, I'm car shopping. Needless to say, it will not be at Hilltop Subaru. Never again.

We've owned our 2018 Subaru Crosstrek since purchasing at Hilltop. It has performed well. All servicing done by Hilltop has been first rate. Would highly recommend.

Hilltop Subaru should be ashamed. Our vehicle was at Hilltop Subaru Autobody for over 3 months and they still couldn't complete repair properly. Rob said it was ready, then Rob said it wasn't, then Rob said it was. It wasnt ready. Picked up the vehicle only to see Improperly installed and misaligned body parts. Improperly applied 3M and only on one headlight. Brought to a different body shop and the insurance appraiser started a new claim to repair all the various deficiencies. Zero Quality! No customer satisfaction. Horrible Subaru Dealership

Service is exceptional. Body shop had my 2022 Outback done much earlier than I expected and it looks good as new!

Their service department has very poor customer service. Everytime we take our Ascent in more issues arise and we get treated like the problem. They show no regard for taking much longer with the vehicle than expected and always blame it on being short staffed or too busy. We travel in from out of town and always get held up much longer than expected or our vehicle has to get held there for multiple days and it's always a battle to get a courtesy car or anything.
They shrug off any and all inconveniences they cause and make very little effort to correct issues.
Wouldn't recommend using this dealership after the last 4 years I have had to.

I got an excellent service from Isaac, you rock guys! I'm driving my Subaru now, so happy doing business with Hilltop Subaru people.

The rear bumper of my 2019 Subaru Forrester received slight damage from getting hit while parked. The passenger back fender also had been pulled off the bracket, and was jutting out 1/4 inch along the seam. No scratchers or dents. The offender accepted full responsibility for the incident, and wanted me to get two estimates to decide if he wanted to pay privately.
I went to Fix Auto Body in Vernon, and written estimate was $1700.
Subaru Auto Body in Vernon estimate for the back bumper replacement was $1000.
Rob Boan, the auto body man who did the estimate informed me that the Subaru back fender is designed to pop off the bracket if it is put under stress, and he simple popped it back on.no charge.
I bought my car new from this dealership, and have found them to be professional, courteous, honest, fair, and obviously knowledgeable.
I would highly recommend them.

Awesome team that made the experience wonderful. The body shop did an amazing job fixing my car. Would definitely deal with them again.

I love Hilltop Subaru and I love my Outback! These people are fabulous and I will never go anywhere else to purchase a vehicle again. They were very fair and we never had the feeling that we were being ripped off or taken advantage of. When we go in for repairs, they are the greatest. I would recommend Hilltop to everyone!
