Great place! 사장님 is very kind and friendly, walnut and 구어빵 are both so great! The owner really values the quality, he only sells fresh and warm ones!

Hot delicious snacks! Both the walnut cake and mini taiyakis were amazing. For the price, it couldn't get any better. Would definitely recommend for anyone in the area.

It can be busy and long as it appears to be a one man show in the food truck or at least it was when we ordered.

Give it a try!

Such a lovely treat! 7 pieces for $5 or 15 pieces for $10. They are the size of a whole walnut shelled, but this nut is filled with red bean and walnut pieces cooked inside a lovely batter. There use to be a whole half a walnut in each pieces per covid, but you got to cut cost somewhere while wanting to keep prices the same.

You can find them on your way in or out of H-Mart on the North Road entrance in a cute cart.

They also sell mini taiyaki stuffed with custard 10 pieces for $5. It's the same batter used for the walnut cakes, but wish it was cooked a little longer for a bit of crunch as it gets quite quickly with the oozing custard inside.

Wither way, a delightful treat that I get to enjoy with my afternoon tea.

Cash only!

I stopped by here back in late January for hot snacks. I even went to TD bank to withdraw cash just to make the purchase.

Taiyaki and Hodugwaja were fresh and delicious. I asked the owner if there were any red bean filled Bungeoppang he said no. Cream filled Taiyaki (=Bungeoppang) was not bad, but red bean ones would be the best ever! All because I grew up eating red bean filled Bungeoppang in market places in Korea. I took leftover bags home without knowing the snacks would break. I think the batter was little watery so this was the reason for 4 stars.

Cream filled Taiyaki reminded me of Delimanjoo from subway station in Korea. Hodugwaja was pretty good.

Always delighted to find this truck open when we visit H Mart. Freshly made to order mini taiyaki with custard filling and the walnut cake are worth the wait.

It's a 45min.drive for me to get there but I will do it just to get the Walnut Cake & Custard Taiyaki. Definitely eat it while it's hot! (I guess say hi to some friends in the area while there)

Hot, delicious and freshly made! One man show and very efficient in serving all the customers with a little waiting time. Walnut cake and Taiyaki were yum!

Fresh, made to order, perfectly soft and sweet.
Would recommend getting both items offered.

Owner is super nice and friendly. Mini Taiyaki tastes great especially in the winter time. Definitely recommend this place. Don’t miss out on it when you come to Burquitlam.

Yum! The truck is located in a corner of the Hanin Village strip mall on North Road. Fresh, delicious and reasonably priced - $5/10 custard mini (bite-sized) taiyaki. While you’re there, there’s an H-mart and other stores in the mall worth visiting as well.

Eat them fresh! Else it gets a bit soggy but if you're bringing it home toast them up in the oven for 5 min and they get all crunchy and melty again =) I like the custard more then then the walnut but both not too sweet and perfect amount of filling

Amazing treats; not too sweet. Might have to wait a bit if there is a line up. However the owner does let you know ahead of time if it is going to take some time. Worth the wait since it is freshly made.

Get the Custard taiyaki! Or if you prefer redbean get the walnut. Recommendation to owner: create a $10 or $9.50 menu option that contains both $5 options.

Obsessed with their custard taiyaki, although my family also really enjoys their walnuts! So good piping hot, and the owner always does it fresh to order

We love this place! The size and the amount of filling is a perfect combination. Yes there is a wait but we expect it and he always let's us know how long the wait may be. We've always waited cause for us it's worth it.

He makes it the best! When biting into the pastry, it’s crispy and soft. The hodu-gwaja is filled with red bean paste with nice chunks of walnut while the taiyaki is filled with a creamy custard. Seriously, do yourself a favour and get a bag of each if you love bite size goodness. It can get busy and he sells out. This food truck is located at the entrance of the Hanin Village parking lot. Doesn’t operate during the summer months since it’s supposed to be a cold weather treat.
