Holiday Inn Express Kamloops, an IHG Hotel

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The staff are extraordinary. They cater to their clients who are working and have breakfast ready earlier than 6am for the people who have to leave early. I've never received better service in my life. My only complaint is that I wish the pool and hot tub were finished their renovations. Will be a 5 star review as soon as the pool and hot tub are opened again. Seems like the new owners who took over in November are passionate about a nice hotel. No complaints other than I want the hot tub and pool when I return in 2 months!

This hotel was okay, but there is totally room for improvement. The rooms weren't super clean, staff were not attentive, and the pool was closed upon arrival with no mentions. All I was offered was a $25 voucher for the 'inconvenience'. The hotel didn't really have a good feel to it.

I didn't stay here. But just went in to see if they have rooms available late at night. They were fully booked and helped me find availability at another nearby Holiday Inn.

Booked a room two days in advance over the phone. When we arrived they said the reservation was at the inns and suits not the express. Arrived at inns and suits to find no reservation. Checked my call Id and called the number I made reservation on and it was the express. They said they had a system error and room wasn’t booked. Wasted an hour driving around Kamloops trying to figure this out. Kids didn’t even get to use pool because of it. Not impressed.

Right off the highway. Easy to find and quick check in. The staff were very helpful. Clean rooms and fast wifi.

I want to thanks Adba and the hotel staff for the outstanding service and humanity! New to the area, my husband was rushed to Kamploops hospital, I explain that I was not sure how long I would need to stay and how long I would be at hospital. He was able to let me check out late, he let me check in early, it was so nice of him as I was so upset, could not think and so tried.
They did everything that a family member or friend would have!
I recommend that you stay with them! For the service, the cleaness, and most improtant Human compassion! Thank You!

Great room and excellent service. Truck battery was dead because I left the fog lights on overnight. They went above and beyond to get my truck boosted and back on the road. Breakfast was also very yummy! Thank-you for the excellent hospitality.

We came at a bad time and had a bad room I think. Heat was broken in room but did not really understand that till too late. Pool was closed even though we asked when booking the day before.
But it was dog friendly, clean enough for slushy season, and the breakfast was good.

No hair dryer. Had to get front desk to operate the room heat. One would think the hotel would turn on the heat before you get there. Breakfast, which is included, was a little light.

Hotel was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Delicious buffet breakfast included in price.

When we arrived, the heater in the room wasn't working. The on duty manager came right away and moved us to a different room. Because of the weather and freezing pipes, to heater in the room we were issued initially froze up. So nothing to do with the hotel. I only mention this, because the staff were very quick to solve the issue.

Lots of area to walk the dogs.

I try to stay at Holiday Inn Express whenever I travel for work because I find exceptional consistency between their various locations. This location really needs some work, unfortunately. It obviously has had a renovation at some point, but could probably use another one. The common areas were not very clean, the linens were stained, fixtures in the bathroom were loose. It just feels like an older hotel, but the price doesn't reflect that.

Have stayed there many times, the place has been going downhill. Recent stay Jan 2023, room stunk of feet and moldy carpet. Very strong odour. Carpet was also disgustingly dirty, felt like you were walking on sand. Breakfast was dismal, no coffee available at 8am in the morning and no attendant. I will be staying elsewhere from now on.

Have stayed here many times for work, awesome staff. Love this location

Would really appreciate if this chain (no fault to this franchisee) would catch up with the rest of the world and have USB 2.0 outlets at bedside etc.the plug ins om the lamps are horrible for shorting out your brick, refuse to use them anymore.

The location is convenient albeit surrounded by highways and next to a petrol station so not the most scenic. Rooms are fine, breakfast ok and staff nice. Nothing special but good for a night.

No hot water at all in the shower. This is despite there being hot water in the sink. Not exactly sure how this happens but seems like a major oversight in -32 weather. Would highly recommend avoiding this place during the winter months if you have the option.

Stayed all week during my business travels which was a very bad choice of hotel. My experience at this location was very poor - room was in a very poor condition and the service was very rude. I will never return to this location. For those who are traveling, STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!
