Holiday Inn & Suites Surrey East - Cloverdale, an IHG Hotel

First timer to this location. Clean rooms central location and the attached restaurant was ok.ya.

Terrible experience.checked into a dirty room.there was hair all around the sink and someone had shaved and not cleaned up after themself. There was blood on the bedsheet. Terrible experience and wouldn’t recommend staying here as nothing was done about this. The shower curtain in the bathroom smelt so terrible, it stunk up the whole bathroom.smelt as though it has not been changed in over a year.

Ed Sheeran was in town so this was the cheapest place left anywhere near Vancouver for a lastminute booking. Good enough and free parking.

Don't recommend this hotel, compare to others hotels price very high also rooms are smaller asked if I pay with cash damage deposit so I've been told with cash I have to pay 500 cash
Website says breakfast included but when u check in ending up no breakfast

Very clean hotel. They only do breakfast for two per room if you have children you’ll need to purchase additional breakfast. We had chatty neighbors and one call to front desk and they were able to quite down.

It is the first holiday inn hotel I have ever stayed without compliment breakfast. The bathroom does not have air exhaustion. The fitness center is smelly.
Did not try anything else. In a nutshell, the worse IHG hotel I have ever stayed.

Very very rude reciptionist. AC in the room was not working properly. Try to book another hotel this one is not worth it.

Owners and staff are friendly and helpful. Great bar and restaurant. Will go back.

This hotel was nice than most. We are travel warriors and it's nice to get into one with nicer than average rooms and good breakfasts

Rooms are clean. The breakfast is a trap you end up paying service charge and taxes which is you can get better breakfast outside at Tim.

I had a horrific experience in this hotel.i was with my gf in our room comfortably on our bed when suddenly the door opened and another guest entered thinking this was her room.the front desk staff had issues her our room! This was so shocking and it left us uneasy the rest of the stay, any sound we think someone is coming in again.the manager called to apologize, he asked how he can compensate and I said I didn’t want to talk about it then because I was still in shock from the experience.the manager or who ever was in charge that night, then offered us dinner to make us feel better, I accepted and when I went to talk to him the next morning about a compensation he said that dinner was compensation enough and when I said that was not acceptable he then offered a discount rate for future stays.

I’ve never had such a horrible experience and lack of response there after.i filed a complaint on the corporate feedback email they send you after you stay and selected to be contacted by the hotel management but it’s been over a month and I haven’t heard anything.totally unprofessional and negligent.we are currently waiting for legal advice.

Stayed for a week. Room was very nice modern and clean. Cleaning was frequent as well. I didn't like being put in the room next to the lobby very noisy.

I had checked in here last week of feb with my fam.had to wait at lobby for good 40 +mins. Cameras can verify this, before the desk guy named "Dev" comes back from somwhere to attend, on asking if there is someone working at the desk the guy Dev replied rudely with aggressive body language
During the stay in the night knocked my door twice at 2am and then 3 am totally didnt respected our privacy came all the way near my bed. My fam got scared also blaming us that the floor is leaked bcz of us.kept on arguing in the bedroom.then took me all the way down to lobby in the middle of night. Basic manners lacking and such provocative behaviour to intrude our personal space.
Such a disturbing experince.
Also spoke to their 2 ladies at front desk in the morning who didnt seem to be intrested in listening at all.i spoke to the manager on phone but nothing was done. Our stay of total 7 hours was really intruded by their so called front desk guy. Who obviously made sure that no one ever tells him that he is not at the desk and not doing his job.
I will never stay at this location and never going to recommend.
May be train your employees how to treat clients before hiring.

It's just noisy in the evening. It's because of the exhaust fan outside and the room is not sound proof

Clean. Comfortable. Weird TV controls but not enough to take off a star.
Overall what you expect from Holiday inn.

We stayed at the suite on the first floor, which was not vacuumed, the sofa and all armchairs where heavily stained, so we could not use it, the room and the hotel had an odd odor. The TVs where small, hard to watch not to mention a very limited number of channels available.

The king size bed was old and the sides were soft yet the foot of the bed was firm. Oh and I got a horrible rash from the pool.
