We had Holloway come do our exterior paint job on the house, and they were splendid! Naj and Nihad were both so wonderful to work with, and when there were things that needed improvements, they came and fixed those immediately. Great communication and friendly encounters with Matt, Jessica, and Dmitrii as well. What a great team to work with!

I've worked with Holloway twice now for a personal property - once a long time ago, and once just recently. Both times they were very professional, they came out to do a genuine review of the scope of the work, and the time and materials required, and provided very reasonable quotes that they stuck to. Holloway Painting was very professional, communicated very well with us, did a great job painting the problem areas in our co-op, replacing siding where needed and cleaning up after themselves. All employees were friendly and polite. We will be using them again in the future.

We had two small jobs, so Holloway suggested I go with an hourly rate vs a quoted job. On the one job a second painter came back home with the original person to paint one area that was missed and to fix the caulking job that was originally done. The second painter they sent back was great. On the second job tape was left on for several weeks for a second coat of paint. It was forgotten about. The same 2 men did that job as well. My complaint was that I had to pay two men to come back and fix and finish the two jobs. It cost over double than what had originally been discussed.

Fantastic sales staff (Mindi was amazing), amazing painters who finished ahead of schedule. Our facility is bright and feels new again.

I had the exterior of my home painted, specifically wood soffits and stucco. I’m giving 3 stars for the good responsiveness of this company, however only 3 stars because my expectations of the quality of work was not met. I expected spot priming to be done on any bare wood (was not done), old flaking paint to be scraped off (which it was but not well) and care taken so that there were not loose edges of old paint left that will flake when a new coat of paint is applied. I expected the old paint left on the wood to be only that which was stuck onto the wood surface (not loose where you can get a flat edge underneath it).

They also painted over deteriorating stucco and it’s now bubbling and peeling. Unfortunately their wire brush doesn’t take off the peeling paint or bubbles so I’ll have to properly scrape this off myself. I’m going to apply new stucco to fix this. Prior to the work starting I had asked what needed to be done with this section of the stucco and I was told they will assess it and either fix it or let me know if there was an issue. They didn’t say anything, just did their standard of prep and painted. They did tell me they would come back to paint it again once I’ve repaired the surface.

I also had lots of cracks in the paint show up a week after they completed the job (on the wood surfaces). Unfortunately their standard is to just paint over it again as the fix.

Overall, their people are kind, and they are responsive, however if you have an older house with flaking paint make sure you clearly understand their standards vs your expectations. Unfortunately I will likely have more flaking paint in the near future. I’m certain they will come and address the issues, however the fixes are just a bandaid (you shouldn’t paint over loose and cracked paint) and had I know this I would have gone with a company that could have met my expectations.

All employees that I dealt with were prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. This project was done under warranty. I had expected some sort of pushback when I called 22 months into the 24 month warranty. They fully acknowledged the work that needed to be updated and kept in constant contact with during Covid related delays. I have no hesitation in recommending Holloway Paint for quality service. Holloway Painting did a really great job on my house. The project manager, Mindi, is brilliant with choosing colours - in fact, I wish I had been able to consult her for the interior of my house as well. Next time! My house looks brand new, and the entire thing only took six working days to paint. The painters were awesome - very careful and precise and kept checking back to see if I was happy with the work. I will definitely use Holloway again for any future painting projects.

Had a great experience from the start with Holloway Painting. The estimate was done quickly, I was put in the queue and as soon as the season started up I was contacted to let me know things were beginning. I was contacted for colour choice, did a review of the exterior and discussed what I wanted done. They even arrange exterior house washing before they start to work. I had already had mine done so did not use this service. Had I known, I would have saved time and money! They let you know what to expect, how the work will go and Mindi was always available for any questions I may have had. The crew assigned (Darryn and Lynn) were fantastic. Pleasant, hard working, focused. They did a wonderful job. All in all very happy with their service. Now just waiting for my door to arrive so they can come back and do that! Definitely recommend.

We are very pleased with the service we received from Holloway Painting. Mindy, who was the project manager for our project was extremely helpful with choosing the colors for the walls and trim. She was very professional and made us feel very comfortable with asking many interior design decorating questions. After almost five years of living with various shades of brown in our townhouse, my wife and I decided it was finally time to paint our main floor which included 16' ceilings - not a job we wanted to take on ourselves. As usual, we got a number of quotes. While Holloway was not the cheapest (or most expensive), they were the only ones who we felt really cared about the job. We hired Holloway Painting to paint the exterior of our 8-unit townhouse complex in North Vancouver. We bought a 112 year old house with dark green paint and wanted to paint everything white. We also couldn't get into the house before possession and only had photos and a floor plan to work from.

Robbie and his team were very responsive and competitive with their quote.

Once we got into the house we found a lot of extra work, including removing wall paper. We needed it done quick and Robbie was able to help us on a tight timeline. He also didn't gouge us on the change orders and we were pleasantly surprised with the final price given the number of changes we asked for.

Once complete the work was impeccable. They made our 112 year old house look brand new.

Would give 10 stars if I could.

Darren and son Brandon finished up the painting of all three balcony doors yesterday, they did a fantastic job. I must say, you are a lucky man to have Darren as a contract painter, he and son Brandon are great. It was such a breath of fresh air and a relief to have someone on this job for us with a work ethic that you rarely see anymore today. Darren was conscientious, a hard worker and extremely particular in ensuring a top quality job was done for us. They were very polite and respectful and a delight to know, thank you for sending us the very best!

From the outset, I was very impressed with the personable professionalism of the owners, Steve and Robbie Holloway. Once the actual work had begun in my home, any nervousness quickly dissipated, as both Derek and Alan were easy to have around, always on time and very accommodating as well as obviously highly experienced. Derek, especially, more than lived up to the raves of my friends. He is a perfectionist.

We did not use them as our painters BUT I wanted to comment on their exceptional customer service. Steve was quick to come in to assess the scope of work. He was able to provide a quote within 48 hours of coming in. The quote was very thorough and included everything you want a contractor to include (like documentation of licensing and insurance) so that you don't have to ask them for it. We got at least 7 quotes from different companies on the job we wanted done. The customer service we experienced from Holloway was top notch. We have seen some of the work they have done and the finished product is exactly what you would expect from such great customer service.
The reason why we didn't go with them was because our timing was not great and we couldn't pin down a date to get the work started that would also work well with the rest of the contractors in and out of our place.
You can tell that they value their customers (even the ones that don't end up using them). When the time comes and we want to change the paint again, we will not hesitate to contact Holloway Painting again.
