Lovely little bay nestled on a quiet residential cul-de-sac. As others' photos show, there is a steep staircase to get down to the water but after that it's a nice sand beach that goes on for a decent way with low tide.
Parking is a bit of an issue, it's free on street public parking from 7am to 10pm, but be sure to check the signs to make sure you're in the proped designated area.
One garbage can before the steps down is the extent of the facilities so be prepared to take out what you bring in.

Beautiful beach hidden off a neighbourhood near UVIC. Quite small with lots of driftwood. Tiny flat fish in water and lots of rocks with barnacles! Cute neighbourhood beach feel

One of my favourite spots to swim. Great mix of rocks and sand. Can even find small pieces of sea glass.

Found myself on a nighttime stroll and stumbled upon this park. The entrance was quite hidden but once I was on the path I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful beach under the stars. There were lots of birds sleeping on the beach. I found it a good mix of rocks and sand for all beach trips. Excellent beach.

Great little park walk down to Arbutus cove, one of the most quiet beaches in town. Great place to walk or bring a book! Dog friendly.

Was a perfect walk on a sunny Sunday. Managed to make it over to Arbutus Park as the tide was out.

Beautiful walk along the beach. Tide was half way out so it was passable to the other side of the islet. Sand flys were biting but not to distracting.

This is a horrible place - never come here. There is no parking, the water is cold and there is sand, rocks and trees everywhere.

Beautiful and quiet spot that would be a perfect place to spend a day relaxing or playing with kids on the sandy beach.

What a hidden gem. I've never been to this park even though I have lived in the city for years. The path down is quite accessible but once you hit the steep stairs to go to the beach you have to be mobile for sure. There is a nice bench at the top to admire the view if you can't get down the stairs. The beach itself is mostly sandy with some rocks. I was there at sunset and it was absolutely gorgeous. I do not think I would want to take these stairs in the rain or the dark because they are quite steep. It was not busy at all. Definitely worth a visit for a quiet little beach and a nice walk in a quiet neighbourhood.

A nice little park right in the Sannich neighborhood, it has a good beach and some great views! The park provides a small escape from the city without actually needing to leave.

Nice quiet park, a little harder to find the entrance but there is some parking. And a nice walk through some greenery.
