Holy Cross Regional High School

My son went to school there and loved the environment. He also met his wife there. They now have two children where both were Christened. I enjoyed it very much.

Hypocrites. They get mad at girls if their skirts are too short, when their cheerleading uniform is disgustingly revealing. You can see their tush coming out, and its as short as their underwear. In the change rooms, there is no privacy, I’ve seen girls take photos of other girls without their consent, and the teachers do nothing about it because there is no evidence.

Holy Cross is a scam and a fraud.
My friend went to band class when they were in grade 8 for a band trip and they got scammed.
The teachers are mediocre and not fun. They should make learning useful and fun for all students. School is a place to learn about useful things for the future. It is not used for learning about redundant things.
Also make sure to add smoke or vape detectors in the washrooms because there may be some students who vaped in the washrooms.
The course selecting due dates are bad. When I went to the school, I got classes I didn't asked for. It's very bad because classes get full easily.
I'm telling people's kids not to go there. But if they do, it's too late if they take band during a pandemic.
This is my honest opinion. I am not trying to make the school look bad. I am telling the truth because I dislike lying.
I would give it a five stars if Holy Cross improves their security and flexible course change dates!

When they teach French, they force student to use Wendy Maxwell's horrific FAKE hand sign language. If you don't know who Wendy Maxwell is, she made millions of "hand gestures" to correlate with French words.
Instead of using Wendy Maxwell's fake sign language, this could of been an opportunity to teach REAL sign language to their students, ALONG with French but hey! Its a school that cares about students wearing their uniforms right, not education.

They also don't offer any other languages to learn besides French: there is Spanish in grade 11 up but that's it. Other schools offer more languages like Mandarin, Punjabi, Hindi, Japanese, and MORE.

The schools lunch is also overpriced, tastes horrible, and there isn't enough space in the cafeteria for all students to sit and eat. If students want to get food from outside, they aren't allowed to leave the school district during lunch UNLESS they are seniors! Any other high school allows students to buy food outside no matter the grade!

So many things bad about this school.

The lunch schedules don't make sense: there are four periods per day, and lunch is after the third period? Why? To make things worse, you're not allowed to eat food during class because they don't want you to make a "mess" on the table. I can't explain the countless amount of times I've felt so hungry during third period, and being unable to concentrate in class.

The no boots rule, and terrible shoe rules. Girls are only allowed to wear fully black shoes. While boys on the other hand can get to choose between white and black shoes. Gender equality am I right? You're also not allowed to wear boots since its considered "fashion. " Even if it is raining or snowing outside. The greatest part is there are portables outside that aren't connected to the school main building so you're forced to walk outside to go to them.

Gym classes being forced outside, even if it is raining or snowing, and you're not allowed to wear anything else besides the gym uniforms to keep yourself warm. If you wear a coat when your gym class is outside, you will get in trouble because that is prohibited. By the way the gym uniforms itself is not enough to keep yourselves warm. I love seeing the teachers luxuriously wear their own nice, puffy warm coats, that are also waterproof outside, as they sadistically watch us, and get mad at us if we dont perform well in the rain. It feels like getting bullied.

To know the fact that public schools (WHICH IS FREE) have better schedules, dont have dumb clothing rules like this, has all the classes in one building, instead of having portables outside because of the lack of space in the main building like hcrh is incredible.

Dont waste your money, this school is the equivalent of prison school, and looks like prison inside too.

Religion study class does not only waste your child’s time when they can study real important subjects such as math science and English, but also degrades your child’s intelligence.

Just a few months ago, the principal announced that a new building is going to be built and will be completed sometime in late 2024 (I don't remember the exact details of this, and I'm sorry if it doesn't make sense to you from an outsider's perspective). As much as I love being in the music program and such, I'll have to see how well it will go, because I have mixed feelings about this costly decision after reading some of the reviews on this page.

A lot of team games done as school have real grass athletic playgrounds never disappointed
