Imagine buying a box of oranges only to find apples inside. Their product description AND PICTURE completely NO DO NOT MATCH the product inside. This has happened MORE THAN ONCE.and most of their stuff is non-refunded. Scammed and cannot return.

Got their toilet. Very cheap. I regret the little money I saved gave me so much hassle. The toilet jams everyday. The metal declugger scuffs the bowl everytime its used. I don't know what's the quality of other stuff are, but I will be very wairy.

The company had good stock and order was ready when we arrived. There wasn't much offering to help getting the product loaded into trailer. Although there was snow, the pallet jack wouldn't work Soni had to hand bomb 40 boxes of laminate flooring myself onto trailer

It's like a Asian home depot. For home renovation. Price are very reasonable or cheap. Plumbing stuff.

Good selection. Was here for an GFCI electrical receptacle, surface mount 2 gang housing, and a drill bit for wood. All at a great price and service.

The prices are good but the way they treated me was awful
It was like I am invisible waiting for a cashier but the cashier was calling other customers and ignoring me in front of the cashier

They had a really good selection of nice, modern-looking tile. They just didn’t have quite what I was looking for (I was looking for something very specific - matte charcoal colour tile). Still, the selection was decent and the prices are good. The only reason they lost a star is because their customer service and website have room for improvement.

Went to Home Idol Vancouver store because we ran out of laminate for our basement renovation. Lester worked very hard to get our special order the same day so we can finish everything on time. We really appreciated the staff working there for going the extra mile.will definitely visit Home Idol again and recommend them to others.

I bought a toilet at their Richmond location for a great price, the staff were very nice and provided great feedback. I will be recommending them to family and friends that will be doing renos in the future.

Bad customer service! Canadian Govt should have mandatory customer service training. 2 stars because they do have good prices to some items

Messy warehouse, wild west parking and loading. Some great buys on building materials. Tile, thin set, lights, worth the effort.

Limited product lines, yet different from the big box stores, which is nice. Prices are great, staff very helpful, and many deals to be had.

Good price and for the returns just fill in the form and they gave me back money 100% just like Canadian tire had me fill the form with ID. So They are good company

Do not buy cupboards from these people! About 2 years ago I renovated an entire little house for rental purposes.
Their cupboards were the best money for what you were getting, so, I paid for them around $1,500.00 worth of cupboards.

They agreed to let me store them for a week till I was to pick them up.
They plastic wrapped them in the back of the store and assured me they would be ok.

Well a week later I came to pick them up and 1/2 of my cupboards were gone they had sold them to someone else!

I said if they don't find me my cupboards I will sue them cause its holding up my project and one there people said it was my fault because I should have taken them the day I bought them.

Well, I told this idiot that they assured me they would be safe.
So never again would I buy something from them except rubber gloves.

I also bought enough laminate flooring to do 2 bedrooms and a living room.

They were advertised as german flooring, which was a lie.
They flooring was almost impossible to install I think all Germans would be insulted if they saw how warped this flooring was.
My carpenter gave up after 2 hours, it kept popping out.

When I went back to complain the owners daughter ignored me, she would not talk to me she just kept putting price stickers on some scrapers in a box.

So I went to another fellow in charge cause the original guy who sold me the flooring was not there and he told me it was a final purchase.

Well what could I do I went back to the house and used clamps buf clamps to hold the laminate together while I added pieces but it took me 2 1/2 days to go one bedroom.
Now I have laid a bedroom floor in a little over 2 hours in the past so I know it was bad flooring.

I worked so hard on this floor installing I ended up getting a double hernia but lucky I have good surgeon and he fixed me up and I was able to get operated within about a month from my first visit because of a cancellation.

Needless to say i am not happy with home idol, they dent stand behind their products and don't trust them I never do anymore.

I go to home depot they are really good if you don't like something at least you can bring it back.

Home idol thinks they are smart but they lost a lot of my business to home depot.
