House of Tofu Soup

Tofu soup was very good here. Mild to medium is recommended for those who aren't too familiar with spicy food. The bill should come out to around 20 dollars per meal.

We went there at 6: 30, but the restaurant is so busy. No server took our order for a long time. Lacking servers is a big problem.

The food was pretty good! My bibimbap stayed piping hot the while meal. I loved the tofu soup. It was a long wait to get in but the service was friendly and the food came quickly once we ordered.

We got the tofu soup + combination bulgogi for about $20 which came with your choice of pork, beef, or chicken bulgogi. The pork bulgogi was sooo good! Also got the bilbim noodles which we didn't like as much.

This place is pretty authentic Korean restaurant.so i am highly recommend this place.only problem is parking lots is very small.

Pretty great meal! It was really tasty and pretty good servings for the price. My only complaint was that the parking was so confusing and tight. It was really hard to get into the restaurant.

The food is pretty good. You have to go inside to put your name down in the sheet. We went around sat 6pm and waited about 15 minutes. The parking outside is very limited, around 8 spaces btw. The tofu soups were very good. The side dishes were ok.

Decent k-food, I would give it more stars if not for the terrible attitude of the waitress.rude and PBF is a total turnoff

Tofu soup was really good. To me, the portion was perfect for one person. Staff was dismissive and unfriendly. I asked what seafood was in their seafood tofu soup, and she didn’t know.

Note: they only take one transaction per group which is quite inconvenient for me when going with friends and we cannot split the bill. Is it because they don’t want to pay any extra fees? I don’t know, I didn’t like that even though it’s not a big deal but it’s just inconvenient.

Parking lot is limited.

This place used to be my favourite soup place 5,6 years ago but now the quality has gone downhills and unreasonably over priced. When I stepped in the restaurant was half full, but the employees said they didn’t have tables for me. They asked to put the name down and wait outside. Nobody called me after waiting for 20mins so I got in and the staff said they had tables. The tofu soup I got only had tofu and beef in it, literally nothing else, and they charge for $13.95. Seafood pancake $22 barely had octopus. Very disappointed and will not come back.

I've been here since high school and the service was good at that time but not anymore. I've got the worst service in my life. My family went to have dinner and ordered 3 tofu soups. However, we only received two soups instead of three so we asked where was the other one.
The waitress with short hair said "Oh aren't you guys sharing? When I asked, you guys said the dish would be shared" She did not even double checked the order and no apology.

Okay, That can happen. The most thing I was frustrating with was the attitudes. My mom asked to have some tissue. The old rude lady said "This is napkin, not tissue" as she put the napkins on the table.
How rude she is! Aren't they trained? I was so impressed with her speech. Too rude and unprofessional

Also, neither waitresses came to our table and asked how the food was or anything they could help with. I mentioned to the rude lady regarding her pathetic words toward my mom while paying the bill. Surprisingly she did not understand why I was annoyed. DO NOT ever think good service here. EXPECT TO BE TREATED POORLY!

Atrocious place. Poor customer service (literally threw our food at us, and was extremely impatient to tell us which dish was what).

Seafood pancake is all dough. When asked about this, they said its all like this. Don't ever order anything other than the tofu soup. Even then, you can get better tofu soup elsewhere. Dooboo for example is way better. They even still provide eggs in their tofu soup.

This place used to be excellent but now that they have gained popularity amongst non-Korean customers, quality has gone down for sure! The staff are super unfriendly with so much attitude! 불친절하고 맛도 예전같지 않음!

Ordered pick up. Staff were rude when I didn't have my order number handy. Tofu soup was average. I highly recommend Doo Boo on Kingsway in Burnaby instead. Much better tofu soup.

Fast, friendly and great soup! I frequent here at least every couple weeks. Their signature soup is fantastic and I always love the stone bibimbap (mixed vegetable with rice) with some tofu soup on the side and add some spicy sauce to my rice. Personally I don’t eat beef so I ask them to take it out and they usually just add extra of the vegetables.

Only thing to be aware is the kimchi they classify as vegetarian is not because most all kimchi comes with jeotgal (salted seafood) mixed in. My wife loves it but I’m not a seafood fan so caution to anyone with allergies/etc of their labeling of that. Overall I would recommend this place.

This is a favourite tofu soup location for many people. The soup is very flavorful and seaweed sidedish seems to be unique to this place.

Latest update: You no longer get a raw egg in the tofu soup anymore (like the photo). Also it feels like the staff has changed as well.
