Absolutely the worst experience with a tax person.
Pushing me to sign the page and I want to read what I am signing. But she kept just holding the pen in my face and telling me to just sign.
I am very glad I did not sign because she could not answer my question about disability tax credit. I look at her computer and she is googling how to prepare disability tax credit. What? Isn't she supposed to know about tax preparation already? I am glad I walked out of there.
I cannot say about all the other workers there as I am sure most would know what to do immediately. So I am just giving the lady I recieved a bad star rating. H and R should check to make sure their employees know a little more about tax preparation before hiring them. I hope everyone does not have as much problem as I had with h and R block.
Other workers were friendly and smiling and lady I had was not and she was also not friendly. Maybe an off day but working with public you cannot be like this. So h and R you only get two stars and this is because of the other staff wearing smiles and being polite

I've been using this place for nine years, and I can't recommend it to anyone anymore. I don't know what happened from last year to this year, but their service is awful and you're better off going somewhere else.
I tried to do my taxes and ended up with someone named Dileepa. He is the worst employee I've encountered from H&R Block. I gave him all my tax forms and explained everything to him. Despite three explanations of my forms, he still had no idea what Twitch TV was, and did not understand the idea of making money on the internet. Holding paper documents in his hand somehow didn't make sense, and he asked me to e-mail him all my tax forms. He pulled my T4 information from the CRA website and there was a second T4 present. I told him there should be only one, and he printed the CRA information to show me. Then he gave me a number for the CRA, but it didn't work. When I showed him my phone, clearly indicating there was no sound or connection from the number he gave me, he insisted it was the correct number. I used Google and got a different CRA number that worked. Why did he give me the wrong number and lie to me about it?
I asked him if he could use the T4 information on the page he printed for me to finish my taxes. He said: "Then you can use it! "
So I agreed, and told him I wanted to use the form he printed to finish my taxes. He replied by saying he had thirty minutes left and was not going to be able to finish my taxes before he had to meet someone else.
I am not making this up. All of this in fact happened.
What kind of tax "specialist" tells you something can be used, then tells you to leave? What kind of tax "specialist" gives you the wrong phone number and lies to you about it?
I went back today and they said they would send someone out when a specialist was available. Dileepa walked out and I told them I wanted someone else. Twenty minutes later they said they didn't have anyone, and offered an appointment. I asked about the following day. The woman at the desk started looking two and three days ahead. After the third time I said the following day, she started looking at the next day and gave me an appointment card.
I asked her if she could check my T4 information on the CRA site to see if there was a single T4 showing. This went back and forth for several minutes, because she refused to give a direct answer to a yes or no question. She kept redirecting her answer to other people and to her computer. Obviously she was able to do that, but she wanted to avoid doing her job. It would have taken two minutes of time but that was apparently too complicated and she refused to own up to it.
Do not go here. They will not help you, they will lie to you, they will not answer your questions or do their jobs, and they will throw you out the door.

I been coming to hr block do my t4 and others the service and maners are so beyand very sad

I came here with no knowledge about taxes however Penny was great and helped me through the whole process. Penny is so kind & friendly. She even made taxes fun! Can't wait to come back next year)

Do not visit here. Prices are not transparent. Tell you different prices in starting and make $300 bill at the end. Do not spend money here file yourself or give try other not recommended at all

I have been filing my taxes with H &R block since 2019 and there’s no other place that I’d ever go to file my taxes in future. Filing taxes is so easy and convenient here, My taxes are always done by Penny! She is great and I am so happy with her service! 100% recommended!
