Worst online and in-branch bank in Canada. Constantly aiming lower.

Hopefully, the recent RBC buyout will see heads roll and a massive overhaul of their pendantic, overly officious, inefficient, lazy, and unfriendly systems & staff. Really, shockingly horrible.

They cant even open an account on the day of. 2 of their Employees are very unprofessional. Worst branch.

I like this bank better than all the other banks here in Canada. Definitely better for higher end banking here than the other banks.

All the negative reviews you see are for a reason.

We applied for a mortgage with them, were asked to go into branch and submit documents and sign paperwork. That part of the experience wasn't bad, as it just involved time commitment on our part. We were told that the brokers are remote and someone will contact us in 3-5 days. 2 weeks later after follow up we heard from our broker, Mouhamed.

Clearly he and HSBC don't care enough for our business, so much so that they didn't even bother contacting us to provide an answer since the last 1 and a half month, after a month of going back and forth via calls and emails.

I'm so glad for the fact that we decided to have an alternate option with another financial institution, who worked all along the way with us and cared to meet all our needs. This entire sour experience of providing a tonne of paperwork, investment of so much of time, always responding to Mouhamed's requests for documentation right away, resulted in NOTHING.  I'm not kidding when I say that I'm confident that he didn't even understand our case specifics and what our requests were to begin with.

It's such a shame that HSBC and it's employees don't care. I honestly expected more. Goes without saying I'll not go back to them.

Holding cash to pay my credit card balance, didn't bring my ID thought wouldn't be needed.after the guy ask for supervisor she agreed no ID is ok, but seems they couldn't pay credit card by for some reasons, couldn't even desposit the cash I brought to my bank account first then pay credit card. Just told me couldn't do it ask me to go online banking to do it myself.

Usually more employees than customers still takes ages to get something done, most staff acts as if they r not happy that ur in their branch. Very disappointing customer service. Am not sure this is HBCA or just this branch.
