I was surprised they had this resturant in vancouver, i saw it once in saigon while i was over there but didnt get to try it, glad it was here for me to try it.

Workers are nice, gave me the vibes as if i was still in vietnam.menu is real tourist vibe menu as if you were in saigon looking at there english menu.

Food was tasty, i highly recommend the fried chicken wings, i dont know what was in the sauce to dip it in, but it made it real good.the salad roll, was HUGE compared to any other vietnamese restaurants around the neighborhood, i reccommand that as well, with the peanut sauce, they dont hold back on the fillings in the roll.i didnt get to try the famous duck noodles or thier type of viet coffee but next time i will!

I've heard that this chain is Michelin-rated in Vietnam, so I had to give the hu tieu kho a try. Dry pho and hu tieu is gaining popularity and it did not disappoint.

The dish consists of minced pork and seafood with your choice of egg or rice noodles, garnished with herbs. The sauces are so good, I found myself eating it by the spoonfuls.

I recommend dining here in a group, as the appetizers looked so good! I ordered the fried wontons and they were quite delicious.

Ordered 2 signature dishes from the restaurant as everyone recommended. The Seafood dry rice noodle was really good, but the portion is quite small compared to the price and other restaurant. The Duck soup was a little plain, and not as tasteful as I except.

The Hu Tieu Nam Vang is amazing. Yes it’s a little bit pricy but IMO it’s worth it for its quality, and uniqueness. From the garnishes to the sides that is available for the noodle it is definitely a different experience than the usual noodles served at a Vietnamese restaurant (it is a hu tieu place, and not a pho place after all, they are different things, I know that’s weird for some.)

With all that said, if you don’t like offal (pork blood, liver, etc.) and you like to dump hoisin and sriracha in all your noodle soups than hu tieu nam vang probably ain’t for you.

People like to complain about prices, but ramen places charge almost 20 dollars a bowl for 1 piece of Chashu, green onions, half an egg, 1 piece of nori, and noodles. You cannot tell me that Vietnamese food is not undervalued.

Getting to eat something that is close to what I can find back home in Southeast Asia is a blessing. And I will gladly pay for that quality and flavour.

Yes…service could be better. But I’ve grown up in the Asian community most of my life, so I never expect good service at an Asian restaurant lol. But even with that said, if I asked for something, it was taken care of. So my complaints about service is minute and trivial, and not really worth mentioning.

Famous Viet restaurant for this type of noodle: “hu tieu”. Their ingredient is really fresh and full of toppings. Soup for hu tieu is clean and is improved a lot time by time I visit. Herbs is always given generously and portion is quite big. Duck noodle is delicious, just the soup is a bit salty for me. Would love to come back to their dried mix noodle.

This restaurant is an expansion from the successful main branch in HCM city, Vietnam.
Food is very authentic and quite good but alittle pricey for what you get.

Overall a good place to try if you miss the food in Vietnam.

Really tasty hủ tiếu. A bowl of xí quách is a must! Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

This new Vietnamese restaurant is a must-try. They sell very different dishes than pho. We tried their Phnom Penh style egg noodles. We had both the soup and the dry tossed options. The noodle soup comes with minced meat, heart, liver, lard, a huge tiger prawn, and a quail egg, plus a generous amount of broth with cilantro and green onions. The noodles are thin and chewy, almost like Cantonese wonton noodles. The soup was intensely flavoured. The owner says they use several types of seafood as the broth base. The side bowl comes with bean sprouts, garlic chives, and two types of leafy greens. It was a very good dinner. The only issue I have is the price. However, I will still go again soon to try their rice noodle dishes and beef stew noodles. Love the yummy soup.

Another new Vietnamese restaurant that is different from the common pho you would expect. According to their owner their signature dishes are with pork instead of beef. Place is a bit crowded and price slightly on the expensive side but would definitely come back.

This place offers a really unique noodle which really different from Pho, definitely a must try for who love the Phnom Penh noodle.
Been here 2 times before but all close and out of food. So this time when I come back, luckily everything has gone to normal operation.
We ordered 2 dishes. The Phnom Penh dry noodle is covered with a lot of toppings, I really like the, it’s quite fresh - that’s all for the pros. The cons is the price for this bowl quite above average. The 2nd dish is beef stew noodle. The soup is light which I prefer. The beef quite soft which make it easy to chew.

Strongly recommend the dry rice noodle with side broth, so flavourful and authentic! And don’t forget to try the salted coffee, surprisingly tasty!

We went to this restaurant on Sunday morning to try the special Mì vịt tiềm. We waited for over an hour for the table and when we finally have a table, the waitress told us that the Mì vịt tiềm isn't available. I had to order a different dish from the menu. The reason why I went to the restaurant was to try the Mì vịt tiềm. They should have posted a sign to let the customers know. It was a waste of time. If I knew the dish wasn't available, I would come back another day instead of waiting in line.

I was so excited seeing the recently opened @hongphatvan because Hủ Tiếu was one of my favorite dishes I had growing up. Since I've moved to the Lower Mainland, I haven't been able to find any good Hủ Tiếu so seeing a restaurant, not only offer this, but specialize in it, is such a treat! Their first location is in Vietnam (Saigon to be exact) and the restaurant has now made its way to Vancouver (through 3 generations within the family!). Honestly SO GOOD. And no this is in no way sponsored, I'm honestly just excited we have good Hủ Tiếu in Vancouver now ️

This new Vietnamese restaurant is a must-try! They have a limited menu, but they do all of their dishes very well! We came in on a weekday around 6pm, we were very surprised that there were still tables available, but the restaurant quickly filled up at around 7pm.

We ordered:
- Mì Đồ Biển (Nước) - Seafood Egg Noodles in SOUP
- Mì Nam Vang (Khô) - Egg Noodle DRY
- Mì Vịt Tiềm - Braised Duck Leg with Egg Noodles
- Chả Giò - Spring Rolls
- Cafe sữa đá pha sẵn - Shaken ice coffee with condensed milk
and the owner (?) had given us an extra side beef bone on the side, which was also so flavourful and appreciated!

Food:
All of the items were well made, super flavourful and presented beautifully, I enjoyed the Vietnamese text on all the plates.

The Seafood Egg Noodle Soup was super nostalgic for me, it took me back to those mom/pop shops that used to exist back in the day. The broth was super tasty, clear and not too fishy. I just loved that they included quail egg and pork blood which you really don't see that often anymore!

I was told the Dry Noodle was a little bit on the salty side, but the broth on the side really helped to wash it down. In addition, the minced pork found in the dish was seasoned perfectly (I found this to be true in my Seafood Noodle Soup as well), which is not common for minced meats found in Vietnamese dishes as most other places are very bland.

The Duck Leg Noodles was also really good, if you like Duck, you'll love this dish! The flavour was very rich and very deep, and the Duck leg was also super moist on the inside and super crispy on the outside!

The spring rolls were super crispy and tasty, and were appropriately sized! Albeit on the oily side.

The Shaken Vietnamese Coffee was also one of the best Vietnamese coffees I've had in a while! The flavour was strong with a bit of nutty/chocolatey aftertaste which is exactly what you're looking for in a good Vietnamese coffee!

Ambience + Pricing:
Ambience-wise, they did a very good job of mixing classic with modern without making it too trendy. And the cherry on top of everything is that this restaurant does NOT smell! It is too common nowadays when dining at Vietnamese restaurants, you leave with the smell of broth, beef and onions clinging onto your clothes/hair for dear life, so (imo) it's really great that you don't get that here!

I personally thought that the prices were fair taking into consideration the cost of food nowadays and the quality of the food at this restaurant, but I wouldn't be surprised if some were to say it were a bit pricey for the neighbourhood. I definitely wouldn't compare this place to restaurants like Pho Hoa ($) or Anh + Chi ($$$), this place has created a whole new category for itself, in a good way!:)

10/10 would recommend you come here, we definitely will be to try out the Beef Stew!:)

Good service! However the food was alright. I ordered the dry hu tieu, both the side soup and noodles were too salty.
15 November 2022 9:08
I have to say their southern style soup is one of the closest to the original here. The portions great for the price. I like the way they separated the kitchen and the dining area, looks and feels clean. We’re so starving so I didn’t take any photo. Definitely would recommend it to family and friends
Edit: please get on Uber Eat or SkipTheDishes. Some days I’m lazy I don’t wanna go outside

I was shocked how tasty my pho was. Ordered one dry seafood noodles and one dry noodles with meat. Portion is a bit small. The salted coffee is bang on, MUST TRY!

Just hoping you guys will clean the gut of the shrimps and not overcook the liver because they are thin and taste like rubber. Would give 4.5 star if i could

To start off I read a lot great reviews about this restaurant and I have to say it's overated. Just don't expect your tea or water to be refilled unless you ask. The server had taken my order and food came fairly quickly but where was the spoon. It was not in the tray with the chopsticks and instead, I had to ask. The noodle soup #10 lacked a portion of meat but the broth was tasty. Service was not the best and can use some improvements. For the price of the noodle soup, I found that it just wasn't filling when you can get more value for your money across the street. This a place where you would only try out once for the food experience and then move on.

They specialize in Hủ tiếu and Mì, and their flavoral dishes hits your palate differently than your usual pho and bun cravings. Yes they can be a bit more generous with their portions given the prices, but yes I will definitely be back because I haven't had Hủ tiếu like this anywhere in the lower mainland. It takes me back to my travels in Vietnam, especially with their decor! I just hope they add the deep fried fatty pork belly bits as a condiment and OMG they might just sell out before dinnertime! Scrumptious!

Food is ok. However, the portion is smaller than average yet the price is higher. $18-20 for a bowl of noodles.
