Top tier brands with top tier prices. Prices need to be more competitive to keep up with online retailers. I hope this Canadian legend can make it.

Men's clothing staff was very helpful and we got our suit sorted very quickly. He was also able to order us extra article online straight to our home.

I went there on Saturday and bought an Under Armour tshirt for my son. When I came home I couldn't find it anywhere and tried calling the Bay numerous times. When I'd select the direct line to Men's Casual wear I kept getting the message that this extension could not be reached. I tried calling the Bay General customer service and no one would answer. After may 20 rings I was connected to voice-mail and explained my situation. I didn't even so much ad get a call back.

I went to purchase a sheet set the Hudsons Bay brand at the store was awesome and the staff were very helpful

I always go there looking for clothes but end up finding what I was looking for at H&M for a better price.

The Bay is great. Always good sales and prices if you are patient when looking at higher end items. Service is great but not enough staff working at time. Cashier's upsell credit cards when there is a long time and then it can take f o r e v e r to pay for items.

We had called the Richmond Hudson's Bay to see if a cast iron pot was there as we went to the park royal one and they didn't have it. Joy helped us over the phone and set it aside for us to come pick it up. When we got there we were very lucky to have met Caroline who was going to help us with the purchase. Caroline was kind, professional, and very knowledgeable. She was also quick to find some solutions for us. I hope we are lucky enough to come back and see her again. Thank you for helping us today Joy and Caroline! We had a great experience.

I enjoy shopping at the Bay but each stores differ in their products, style and sizes. Online shopping on clearance items are cheaper but you don't get to try things on! Personally I prefer shopping in person!

The BAY is cool. It's part of the original Canadian heritage. That's when it was still owned by Canadians. The Woodward's building. Expo "86" I used to go there on the buses with Bibi Pindero. She used to work in the hospital by Wynona Park and everyone gave me free ice cream. Absolutely Bad bad bad, recently purchased something on their website, and what I received was apparently a different thing. It’s like u purchased a clothing online and they sent u a pair of shoes to your house instead, and these are way cheaper than what u have ordered! For sheer luck? That I won’t hassle myself to send them back? No, I’m 100% for sure sending them back! What a scam! Not sure how they trained their workers! Not sure how many people have similar experience from their company: (
PS: I’m still waiting for their refund, they’re holding your money for months probably!

What is happening to my beloved store. It looked so empty last week. It's September and no new fall fashions anywhere to be found.

Visiting the men's section was a sea of discounted items piled in clumps. Some shirts were on racks with no rhyme or reason as to size. The men's shoes were just piled open boxes. It was if a bomb went off on the second floor. I felt bad as there was only one sales person in the men's section. She was friendly and as helpful as she could be. You can't be an expert on every brand, but the computer might be able to help with quantities and locations of a particular item. I was at this location about 2 months ago and it was 10xs more organised, with a better selection. Maybe give it a pass until the season changes and new inventory arrives.

Diamond in the rough saved my experience shopping here. Jessica a store associate (1 of 7 I noticed) approached me and asked if I needed help and what I was looking for. She suggested some things and showed me to the changing rooms. She was personable, very positive and went out of her way to make my shopping experience more than a very quiet shopping experience. (Now she deserves a 5 star!) Found what I was looking for and she even cashed me out. I would be back again for the good sales (harder to find them) I hope The Bay finds and keeps more great staff like Jessica. She made my day shoping here and changed my impression of The Bay as well.

I went here to buy one item, and was redirected to three different cashier counters (each had only one customer). Their checkout process is too slow and cashiers shouldn't be processing card signups during checkout (they should have a dedicated counter for these). What should have taken 5 minutes took me almost 45 minutes in line.

Well very underrated shopping experience at men's sections. Everything is on sale and a ton of good deals for quality products.

THE WORST shopping experience ever. I made an order in store on May 30th 2021, the woman in charge entered an incomplete address, the order was returned automatically and I AM NOT REFUNDED YET!

I popped in to see handbags. Had a look in cosmetics and noticed many testers were used up in various brand counters.

I have no prob with the store products. Yet, I strongly feel that they need janitors cleaning the washroom more OFTEN. It was very disgusting, five of them were down. So, I decide to take pix and post it. Hopefully, they will make some change.

Today I had the pleasure of having Caroline V from the home department help me out. She was simply amazing. She didn't hesitate or put up a fuss to help me call and get the correct Neo MasterCard since they gave me a wrong one. She is extremely polite and continued to help with with my purchase when no one came to the in-store pick up when she had asked for someone to come help me. You should be very happy to have an employee like her! Thank you Caroline.

Ok, let me tell you it can be pretty hard for a guy to find something his better half need picked up. Lucky for me I get pictures or take pictures of what I have to get.

Regardless you've got to talk to someone! So the staff in the cosmetic department (s) could obviously see that I had no clue lol. So a couple of the women took pity on me and git things sorted out real quick! Got what I needed and boom out the door.

Great staff, great help and you know what? The store looks pretty darn sharp. Clean, well organized and a pretty good selection of items. I will definitely be going back.

AWFUL COMPANY.the employees are very rude, and not helpful at all.they do not do any work and always mess things up.the management and the organization is also extremely messy.i will never be returning.

Janice at the Bay was wonderful. She helped us troubleshoot a issue with a online return and went above and beyond to make sure the problem was resolved!

HIRE CASHIERS PLEASE! Always long line ups, the return process is bad and unfair! The Bay used to be good and fair pricing a decade ago, now they are just hiring old people and slow at everything!

Bit quiet when I was there by about 2.00pm on Wed. Limited choice for men's shoes. Staff there were warm.

Department stores may be an endangered species, but I've always done well by this store. Not a huge footprint, but stocks quite generously. Very eager staff as well.

Bought the Chanel perfume for my wife. The service is ok. Perfume is good. But I felt only one sales lady knows well for their own products. Thumbs up for this young lady.

Always a clean store, not much staff if you need help though. At least not much in the men's area. The staff you do find is very helpful though and the Bay is known for their great sales, which they still have often. I always check out the Bay when I'm in the mall because they seem to have new stuff fairly often.

Most boring lingerie Department I've ever come across. If you want something special don't bother coming here.

They need to add more staffs at the cash register. In that way it will promote people to shop more

For some reason this store doesn't make me feel happy. It's not bad or anything, maybe it's the arrangement of the products on the shop floors or the environment.

As a young boy growing up in Toronto, I was first introduced to the "Bay" by my Auntie Helen. Today was the first time I have shopped there in a while and found everything I was looking for. A very storied outfit that really is part of the fabric of Canadian history-glad it is still up and running at the Richmond Mall. Worth a visit if you haven't been before.

Always like this location.even tho lots of ppl will say ots in Richmond. I say your lost.our gain.your usual Bay store from cosmetics to woman and men wear.shoes to electronics.look for their Bay day.great discounts.and they carry so many brand names now why go anywhere else.kids friendly.wheelchair accessible.elevator access.lots of mall parking except for Xmas times.great place to shop.

Nice store but less options in EyeGlasses as compare to Metrotown. Otherwise very organised and easily accessible. Staff is extremely courteous and well Behaved. Would love to shop here again,

Just waited 2O minutes to pick up a new watch. There were two sales people on duty, one left to go home and the other person was swamped. Walked out and went to another store and bought a watch. Once a great place to shop but sadly it has forgotten basic customer service.

The Bay is an iconic retailer whose history is intertwined with that of this country, their department stores a constant presence in many cities across Canada. In it's latest incarnation, HBC has tried to position itself as a go-to place for ready-to-wear fashion in the medium to high end segment. Not as exclusive as Holt Renfrew or Nordstrom's, but not as lower end as a Sears (RIP), their Downtown location carries a very interesting and affordable line of designer and own-branded clothing, with a whole floor dedicated to TOPSHOP. Other options include fashion accesories, homewares (furniture, kitchenware, etc.), plus a well represented fragrances dept. Hopefully, in the long term they will be able to find their niche in a very difficult retail environment. It would be sad if this chain follows the same route as Woodwards, Eatons, Fields, and others that succumbed to the online shopping trend. In the meantime, check them out!

Lacking service, but offers great deals at times better pricing than the outlet malls.
Sometime vice versa.
Found a Jean jacket on the buffalo website $50 cheaper than the bay on Boxing Day.
If you want that deal ya gotta go lookin for one!

In my experience I feel the staff in the Men’s suits department, shoe department, fragrances and the watch department genuinely want to help you.

Other department staff (when you can find one) priorities is to avoid work at any cost!
Or tend to look at you then roll their eyes and walk off regardless of the race or age of the staff member.

FYI, The gentleman in the sunglass hut is very friendly and willingly to help. No sales pressure as well.

Good return policy. Oh and beware of the hours, they are different than the mall.

Geez, ultra slow service here. Waited 20 min for one customer in men's wear because the cashier was performing a refund and new purchase on boxing day! Sale prices may be good but expect a wait at the cashier.

WOW. What a fantastic service. I went to buy a Wenger wallet for myself. Initially I ended up the ladies section and then I asked for help. The lady staff member Joy was very kind enough to accompany me directly to the product that I was looking for. She was awesomeeee! The gentleman at the 1 st the floor checked out counter was great too. He made sure that I got everything that I needed. I will be returning to this location again for their outstanding customer service. Keep up the good work. Thank you all.

Overpriced, dated interior, lack of selection, useless e-commerce. The only thing that keeps this from a 1 star rating is the gift registry, but they now have to compete with Bed Bath & Beyond, which also has a more functional layout.

Their deals things are not bad. Things can be expensive there, but the quality is pretty good. I like their style of dresses. There are many elegant dresses there. Though lots of times I find it hard to get help. It is hard to find a cashier, I have to hunt for one almost everytime. Lots of times that one cashier is swamped with other customers needing help. The quality of customer service is good there, it's just they lack the resources, it's understandable though, I heard news of the company struggling. It will be disappointing to see a Canadian historical company like this to close down.

1st time back after 10 yr absence n find this place more like Wal-Mart. The restrooms r not well maintain n is not clean. Service is not as good as before.
