They have a price match policy that they simply decide not to offer if it does not suit them, then have no customer service in store to help out. NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL

It is sad to see a building filled with this much merchandise, which has several floors, and requires people to literally navigate a maze to get to where they are going. I would not want to be in this building in an emergency. It seems safety regulations in this city, like much else have gone out the window. Good luck figuring out how to get out if you are in an emergency.

That being said, I am always amazed at the friendly and helpful staff who are working under what must be trying conditions.

In terms of the facilities, to my observation the washrooms are in desperate need of an update.

It is a sad reflection on the whole country to see this store in shambles. However, I note even other Bay stores I have visited seem to suffer from similar problems.

Shame on you hudsons bay. This downtown store is a disaster. No working escalators no working elevators no working washrooms. Walked into the mens room washoom on the 6th floor and there was feces everywhere. This store is done just please shut it down and make way for the renovations. Pathetic to make customers climb 6 floors.

Looks pretty tired and may go the way of Sears and other OLD department stores. It's a shame - Great customer service - but one thing we can count on is change and Amazon

Decent size with many various of merchandise. Sometimes there's some good deal on sale. Quiet atmosphere. Came here couple time for shopping, it was good experience. Convenience location.

One of the ladies working there (at the bag store in 1st floor by the south seymour exit) was so rude! I can't believe it, she was racist! After she knew where i came from she said its flooding with Iranians here! And asked why are you coming here? I wouldn't want to leave Canada, she said that and then walked by!
With this kinda behavior, i would never recommend this place! In my eyes it lacks proper managing!

Large store that, lots of space with a decent selection of items from clothing to kitchen appliances, cookware and furniture. It is almost Impossible to find someone in the clothing department and most of the tills are closed if you do find something.

Standard Hudson's Bay. Rude and arrogant patrons, escalators that don't work, people unnecessarily taking elevators for a floor or two, no covid distancing, and impossible to move with a stroller or wheelchair. You know, the typical garbage.

Department stores are so underrated these days. You can find everything and anything here when looking for last minute gifts or fashion, plus they have a great selection of home fashion and an entire floor for men's stuff. My only problem is most of the staff these days are not very professional, they shout and rush you and they yell out your personal data when there is huge line behind you. Sheesh.

One of my favourite Hudson’s Bay locations in the city. This location is the flagship Bay store in Vancouver.

The building is a historic landmark in the city with at least century of existence.

The store has a lot to offer and has evolved over the years to cater to different tastes and needs.

The mens wear department here has many options and brands to choose from. Service here is great you never know what you will find when come to visit.

Connected to Pacific centre mall there is a lot of parking nearby and in the surrounding area.

Stop by if you find yourself in the area.

Haven't been there in about 2 years, not crowded. Surprised at prices but should have expected that. Will still shop there, do some browsing and see what pops up.

I love shopping here because it is not overly crowded. Here good find of mostly branded stuffs, clothing, household items etc. This is my go to place when shopping for perfumes coz they give away extra freebies. Customer Service is excellent, agents are patient and helpful. I think if there is one thing to improve is that they may need to update their merchandise, some items i see are not very up to date. Prices are reasonable, they are not cheap but not very expensive either. They have sale prices every so often.

My favorite store for Christmas shopping! Great prices but shelves are emptying fast due to holiday demand and supply chain delays. If you don't see it at the store, oder it online.

Large selection of retail in this downtown location of Canada's last large department store chain (actually now American owned). This historical building contains a nightmare fueled 107 year old staircase that earns it a 5/5.

We like this store but it's a pretty old bulding, and the only accessible washroom is on the 6th floor. Elevators are pretty slow, it can get quite warm and stuffy.could be a better shopping experience if the space had better upgrades.

I ordered a skirt worth $200 online from the Bay Vancouver, it arrived as a completely different item with a price tag of $85. The item I had originally ordered is now out of stock, and they expect me to return the incorrect item via post in order for them to process my refund.
This is an absolute joke, and you’re distributors should be penalised for making such ridiculous mistakes.
Do not order from the Bay!

Such a huge store but selection is small. Plus sized anything is mixed in and not much. Found a pair of jeans for $2150.00. Super cute but What? ! Did find a cute summer T 40$ on for 15$ nice.
Hard to find escalators or doors to get out. Not a fan. Lots of sales associates around. Store clean and they have bathrooms.

I used to enjoy shopping at "The Room" a lot due to the presence of high-end brands and its spacious environment. However, I visited "The Room" for several times in the past year and there was always a women doing livestreaming services to her audience. I cannot understand why "The Room" allows this to happen as she was standing in front of the mirror and spoke loudly for more than an hour which was quite disturbing to customers. Also, this is a Co-vid time and she kept changing clothes without sanitization which certainly does not meet the Co-vid policy. I am not sure if the Chinese-speaking sales allowed this to happen due to the commissions which I am very disappointed at "The Room" and will not consider to visit here in the future.

I love what HBC represent, Canadiana! Also, I typically only rave about places with positive spirit.who needs more negativity? That said, very disappointed with the shift from their past relationship with Mastercard, to something called "NEO Financial". Disappointed because I expect the best, to reward the best by shopping there.stay clear of signing with Neo, let HBC and/or NEO sort out their lack of customer service tone deft approach to business. Hoping this will be my only negative review. EVER!

They have good stuff but don’t accept Apple Pay or any kind of tap pay and you are forced to use your physical card. It’s not that big an issue but I wanted to use my Apple Card and it’s only digital

No wonder no one shops here anymore. Website says it has it in stock in a certain store, so I go all the way there and it’s like a jumble sale! Staff are absent and not willing to help when you do find them. High street shopping needs to step it up to keep playing in this game.

I had the best shopping experience in ages today … Mark on the main floor helped me find my way to the door, then I decided to look at the scents he was tending to in that corner after some quick experiences with a couple of aromas that were interesting he hit upon something I quite liked, so off I go thinking I’ll come back for sure, then as I am leaving the store I see the wonderful price package on HBCECO Throw … I had to buy it now, fantastic service Mark, friendly knowledgeable informative … Thank You

Shame on Hudson's Bay. I placed an order on May 5th, 2021 for an item on sale, to give it as Mother's Day gift. I got order number and Est.delivery date May 7th with express mail. It was not delivered. On May 11th they emailed me to contact them for more info, what I did. A few hours later on May 11th they sent an email declaring the order was canceled due to soldout. I already had told the gift receiver on Mother's Day that I had placed the order and there would be a delay. I got so frustrated. It is the worst experience I have ever had with my online orders. Hudson's Bay customer service is a shame in the industry. I do not recommend Hudson's Bay to anabody at all and I will never buy anything from Hudson's Bay.

This place is much bigger than it looks from outside. Each department is on its own floor, and each floor can be a maze on its own. The elevators are old and very slow. Take the escalators if you can. Other than the unconventional layout, the place is well stocked and nice to shop at.

This is a huge Bay lol I've lived here for nearly 9 years and never been to this location. This one has a lot more brands than other Bay's, a lot of higher end brands if you have spare thousands to spend but you will likely find your size and style here as they're well stocked with everything, my daughter found what she was looking for and staff are super friendly, when we checked out 2 staff members were happy to help and even gave my daughter a small gift which was very nice of them, will definitely come back to have a longer look around because my daughter was in a rush to jump floors to the kids section I recommend giving this place a look

Went to buy my son a graduation suit at the main store in Vancouver. Employees were pleasant but not knowledgeable. Merchandise was all over the place so looking for the right sizes was challenging. They didn't have the right size jacket so the person ordered it for us from the online store. Up to two weeks to get it delivered and we subsequently got an email telling us it would be longer because of shipping issues. With poor service, merchandising and delivery I'm afraid the future of the Bay doesn't look good.

Liked shopping inside in a more quiet environment to choose what u like. The only thing I don’t like is the building’s outside were stinky for long time last year.which I didn’t smell it today. Hopefully this won’t happen again.

Not enough people come here. The prices are good and they carry a lot of the same brands as other store. In fact the prices are usually lower. I will say though, they need an update to a more modern store. Needs more natural light and open space.

Services have not been as great.
The worst is order online. They charged your account immediately but came in a week - the earliest. With the mail strike, I didn't get my swim suit a month after my holiday.

Online usually offered different prices than in store.

Beautiful building on the outside but a pain to navigate on the inside. It’s poorly laid out and it’s easy to become disorientated. The staff are adequate but generally not very knowledgable. The elevators are slow and the escalators are often out of service. The store has so much potential and really would benefit from a complete redesign and overhaul. Although that’s probably in the works with the building recently sold to private developers and plans for the store to be reduced to a couple floors only. When there’s a sale on you can get some decent deals.

One of the worst customer experience ever and I will never shop there anymore. Boxing day was very busy at 6th floor, men shoes department and I was waiting for at least 20 minutes for the help. When I asked employee to help me he said to find someone else because he is busy. Yes, he was busy with one couple from his community for almost 20 minutes and he was there to serve just them but anybody else. That employee ignored everyone there but not people from his community speaking Mandarin. I felt discriminated by who I am. I ask him about his name because he didn't wear a name tag, he wouldn't tell me. I sent an Email to general manager explaining what kind of treatment I got from his employee.
Customer Service on 6th floor, men shoes department is an embarrassment!

I’ve ordered online 3 time since returning to Canada and have returned everything I’ve purchased because of poor quality and high priced. Today I went into the store with $100CF Mall Gift card and they refused to accept it. So I walked right across the street and spent the money at Nordstrom’s. Canadians just don’t get it, there’s a reason American stores do better. This is one of them.

Mostly catered to tourists with deep pockets. The selection of items here are certainly not for the everyday Joe. Staff are stand-offish and do their best to avoid any customer interaction. They pretend to be busy behind the counter, stare off into space. I had to wait 15 mins to be let into a changing room. Disappointing considering the cost of the goods.

Would be sad to ever see this great department store close. They have a bit if everything at the medium to high price point with high potential for big sales. Wish they did not demote the Christmas merchandise to the basement. The great department stores in the world never do that. Also feel their advertising to order online and do free pickup in store is misleading. The item must be available in the store for pickup in that same store - which almost never happens.

One of the worst customer experiences ever. The security guard allowed the volatile driver of this car to yell "tell her to shut her face up". Security guard shrugged his shoulders and left. I did not feel safe. Returned my items and wont shop there again. No manager came to speak to me.

6 stories of history. The building is slowly inching towards being 100 years old. Conveniently located just above the Granville Sky Train Station.
Essentially a mecca for ladies fashion. Whole floors for the ladies. Men do have their section also. Brand name cosmetics counters. Parking can be an issue since the only place you can park on the street is Seymour Street. Best to hit this place on the sky train since when you arrive at street level (well almost street level) a quick left will take you right into the Bay.

Bought runners for Black Friday. They obviously don’t have a great loss prevention department as they cancelled my order on my valid credit card. Called to inquire, they hung up on me and didn’t tell me why they cancelled it.

Hudson’s Bay has a great men’s clothing department with good selection from Ted Baker, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Strellson and Hugo Boss. Shop on Fridays to get additional discounts and promotions. They also price match competitors. The store can also search other store locations if they don’t have your size in stock.

If you're looking for a suit, go see Rangil. He is easily one of the most knowledge and easy to talk to consultants I've ever had the pleasure to buy a suit from. His ability to understand what I was looking for and pair that with options that make sense, is a true talent. I had a million different questions and he was able to answer them all calmly and with confidence. To boot he was able to do this all, including alterations, with impossible time restraints and a tremendous attitude. A truley first rate experience and a very satisfied customer. Thank you Rangil.

Ordered some Calvin Klein shoes from this store. Only two months later they’ve completely deteriorated just from wearing them daily at work. I was obviously disappointed by the poor quality so I went in to see what could be done, since $130 shoes should not fall apart so fast! I went to customer service, was sent upstairs to men’s shoes, where I asked a sales associate what could be done. The unfriendly man was so unhelpful, he says I’d have to see a manager but doesn’t actually offer to page him - I have to ask him twice to do so. I end up talking to Adrian who tells me to bring the shoes in with a receipt and they’ll see what they can do. Okay, fine. But then I call customer care and I’m told it’s as simple as sending the shoes back for an exchange from home, which is way more convenient and straight forward. So why wasn’t I told this in the first place? A serious lack of training and ability to anticipate needs is apparent. If you don’t want to end up like Sears, you better starts changing things for the better.

Have shopped in here a few times and have always had less than stellar customer service. It seems that most staff I’ve encountered were more interested in talking to their colleagues or had better things to do with their time.
A few months back, the salesperson encouraged me to sign up for a Bay card to get a further discount. Last night I went to use it for the first time since receiving it as there was a 1-day promotion emailed to me. The staff refused to honor it as they said that it depends on how you interpret the wording. If an advert is clear, there should be NO room for misinterpretation. The manager made no attempt to reach a compromise so it was clear that he was not bothered about losing me as a customer.
So I promptly called their MasterCard hotline and cancelled my Bay card on the spot. Even the phone rep didn’t ask why I was calling in to cancel.just didn’t care.
Prior to this last visit, I attempted to buy something via their 1-800 number, and honestly I spoke to the most incompetent person ever. I hope their management listens in to the call and sees that some of their staff should not be in customer service positions. I won’t be able to get that 20 mins of my life back.
Off to Nordstrom.
