Waw what an amazing experience rafting down the Kicking Horse river this summer, we enjoyed every minute of it, the preparation, safety procedures, the stories while paddling gently, the power and length of the rapids, the adrenaline and all the cheering up! Thank you Beck for this amazing adventure! Highly recommended

Vern was our guy, very friendly well experienced and we had an awesome rafting experience.

Had a great rafting trip with them! Drew was an amazing guide, he explained things very well and helped us anticipate what we’d encounter. I would highly recommend.

The Kicking Horse Rafting Tour of 2 hours did not keep what it promised.
We can't understand all the 5 star reviews!
It says class 1-4 rapids, in reality it was class 1-2 and maybe class 3 in 2-3 places. For anyone who knows class 3 rafting, our tour was a disappointment!
It was said: currently / at this time the river is very flat and not as "wild" as in May/June. If this is the case, please state this explicitly in the offer!
Nothing happened for the first hour, absolutely nothing!
You floated along the river… the guides did their best and literally “entertained the people”. After that there was a bit of action, but mostly small class 1-2 rapids.
Most of the time we only made 3-4 paddle moves and let ourselves drift more or less the entire distance.
After the halfway point, the guide checked whether everyone's life jackets were properly fitted!
That says everything about the existing rapids.
Conclusion:
For people with rafting experience, the Kicking Horse Tour (especially when there is little water) is a disappointment (summer).
For people who are doing such a tour for the first time, perhaps a great thing (no comparison).

Nous avions réservé via banff adventures. Une super expérience! Tres bonne communication en amont. Et sur place, LE TOP! Le lieu est très sympa, avec des terrain de volley, des grandes tables, et un accueil très sympatique. Nous etions dans le bateau avec Drew: il est génial, met de la bonne humeur, bonne communication. La descente en elle meme est super: ca bouge vraiment beaucoup! On etait trempés mais heureux!

My buddy and I booked a last minute ride with them and it ended up being the highlight of our trip. We had Drew as a guide and he was absolutely amazing. Made everyone in our raft feel very comfortable and we had an excellent time. Would recommend to any one looking for a different type of activity in the mountains.

Recently booked a white water rafting trip with Hydra River Guides and it was amazing! This was my first time white water rafting and the guides made it amazing. I would highly recommend asking for Beck as your guide!

Would have given more star if possible. Vern was our guide and he was so knowledgeable about the area, the terrain, and everything else. Shared a lot of stories with us, and he showed us the most efficient way to paddle and worked as a team. Would recommend him as the guide if you could. His son was also filling in this time and he was also very cool, a little shy as a 14 year-old boy but quite skillful as a paddler.

Absolutely amazing experience with these guys! Our guide, Wild Bill, made it so much fun & was sure we knew the safety protocols, the tips & shared so many knowledgeable facts of the river & his 17 years of rafting.

We had an amazing experience doing the Last Waltz rafting trip. It was the perfect length. The safety instructions were clear. Getting to the river was easy and walkable from where we geared up. However, the best part of our trip was WILD BILL. He was the BEST guide ever! We had a a couple nervous people in our group but he made all of us feel safe, not only because of his extensive experience but also due to his clear instructions and friendly demeanor. He had great stories and we learned his favorite Taylor Swift song is Love Story. Bill was the perfect first rafter’s guide. I hope we cross paths again.

Wild Bill was the best:) he made my friend who was nervous feel so safe! We had plenty of laughs and learned important water safety while enjoying the views. Bills favorite Taylor swift song is love story so feel free to sing that down the River with him. 100/10 recommend Bill!

Awesome trip - the kids (and adults) loved it! Knowledgeable guide, fun, beautiful, with the right amount of adventure. We would definitely book with Hydra again!

On August 1, we have with two families. The nine of us did a rafting trip with Hydra River Guides. We did the family tour in the morning. It was fantastic! Cool guys where you already hear the instructions with a smile on your face! On the river itself we got a lot of background information and the climb to the waterfall was awesome! Very nice tour for the family. Our children aged 9 to14 loved it! And we as well! Enough white water seen during the trip!

My friends and I had an amazing experience. Drew, our guide, was a beast; super friendly and funny. It's one of the most exciting experience we did in Banff and the price is legit. I would 100% recommand.
