Expressing deep disappointment and a sense of injustice with my road test outcome, despite meticulously following traffic rules such as proper shoulder checks, obeying speed limits, stopping at stop signs, and perfectly executing parallel parking. The examiner's overly positive language during the test didn't align with the eventual failure. With over 15 years of accident-free driving experience, it's disheartening that bringing a pickup truck may have unfairly influenced the result. Adding to the frustration, I had no other option but to bring a pickup truck, as it's the only vehicle available to me. This experience has left me feeling emotionally drained and raises sincere concerns about the fairness of ICBC evaluations for newcomers to the country.

Really want to thank my road test examiner, Mr. Diago. He gave me directions in a very well-planned and timely manner. I was nervous at the beginning of the test but his polite manner made my nervousness go away. He simply Explained to me what to do before the driving test I was very clear. Finally I got my class 5 driver’s license from Kingsway Vancouver location. Thanks, Diago you are a great instructor. Previously I took a road test With Driving Examiner Arun Choudhry at the end of the test he gave me lots of inputs to pass the test.

I took my road test at this location, and I was pretty nervous but my examiner Arun really helped me ease my mind about the test. He was very patient, calm and kind. 2 mins into the test all my anxiety vanished. Thank you so much Arun, you made the experience very easy for me. And I PASSED YAY ….

I gave class 5 test here, my instructor was a asian guy with cap his initial was BA. He makes me really uncomfortable and nervous during the test. He asked me (did I already asked you the hand sign signals) during the test that is unfair he should know that.just to make you distract that guy can ask you any thing. Later on the thing he failed me is that When my test got started (inside the office) we have to reverse car than go forward, and I was backing up he said me stop you are too close, and I told him that o really? Because I was too far from the inside office wall. That guy failed me only for that. I don’t know what he is getting by doing those things.

My son did his driving test at this location. He said the experience was positive and the evaluation person was relaxed and provided great feedback.

It was a great experience to take the road test at this site with my professional, patient and easy-going examiner (his initials is "SV", forgive me to use initials instead of name for misspelled). He tried to make me relax and comfortable in his own way, which made me feel peace and good. Anyway, I will highly recommend you to do your road test at this site.

Just a piece of advice. Do not book your road test here! The examiners will fail you on their own personal discretion and not based on facts or their checklist. They make up road rules that are not even based on the law. They will fail you for the money so you can take another road test!

I finally passed my class 5 road test today and 5 stars to that too! Though failing it previously was disappointing but I am sure (now) that I wasn’t ready then. Arun, my DE from today was very patient and kind. He also has a calm demeanour which helps during the exam. I think he sensed that I was nervous so he made some small talk to ease my driving. I thanked him for the gesture because it instantly helped! I think humanising these tests is important rather than making us feel like we’re under the scanner (which is how I felt during previous attempts). The silence between instructions doesn’t really help, and adds to the anxiety, for me at least. Merci beaucoup, Arun.:)

Kingsway residential roads can feel narrow to some drivers, especially with parked cars on both sides of the road on certain routes. However, I chose it because there is no highway driving during the test and now I’m glad that I did!

This is the worst place you can do a road test for a black immigrant. I don`t know what other people are talking about. Its sad that there is usually no evidence on this tests and we just have to take the words of the examiners.

Echoing the thoughts of the folks here. This is a good location to book your road test. It’s not very complicated and I passed my road test in the first attempt thanks to my lovely instructor at atlas school (despite driving for 10 years I took refresher classes which was super helpful). I was fortunate to have a friendly examiner from icbc Mr Frankie who explained his expectations at the start, put me at ease during the road test and made me feel comfortable. People underestimate the importance of having a calming presence of the passenger sitting next to you. It’s a big factor!

Yesterday, I successfully completed my road test here. The examiner, Mr. Lan, was very considerate and provided clear instructions and guidelines throughout the test. Additionally, he gave me constructive feedback on how to enhance my driving skills and ensure safer driving practices. I am grateful to Mr. Lan for his kind efforts and valuable feedback.

Passed my N today at first try. I had a very sweet and professional instructor her name was Priscilla. I was anxious and nervous of taking the road test but Priscilla’s aura was so calming it really helped me relax while driving. Her instructions were clear and straightforward. She’s a gem

Passed my Class 7 Road Test here! Arun was my examiner; he was friendly, calm, patient, and gave clear instructions which helped me to feel at ease during my test. The staff member who checked me in at the beginning was also very friendly which helped me feel more comfortable as well. Many thanks to the kind folks who work here!

This is my detailed experience:
Initially I booked my exam on 20th Dec, but due to snow storm - to avoid hazardous conditions they postponed the date first to 27th and then to 30th (as I could not make it on 27th), they called me to reschedule and provided me 3 different options to choose from, I had word with Ursula and Arun over the call who helped me rebook, they were understanding, calm and courteous.

On the exam day I met Diego, he was professional (asked me if he said my name right), ethical and very respectful from the very beginning until the end. He gave me a moment to relax before the exam and asked me if I have any questions at all for him, I double checked with him on my understanding of speed limit around construction zone, he calmly gave me a clarity on the same; after we began our test he was very clear-calm in his directions and neutral throughout. After the test he took a moment, did his assessment and showed the result to me that I “PASSED” and wrapped with few tips on how I can improve.

After that he helped me with the documentation and asked if I’d like to combine my MSP and License (which is optional), to which I agreed. After that he helped me click my license picture twice cause I did not like the first one.

I am so grateful that I booked this facility for my test, everything went smooth. It’s natural to feel a little nervous for your test, but the staff acknowledges that and tries to ease pressure off you.

I’ll be re-booking this centre for my ‘Class 5’ in 2 years!

Had my Class 5 road test and passed. Special thanks to Examiner Lan for making me feel comfortable and made my trip easier. Lan is friendly, patience and very professional. Overall, the staff are friendly and best location for the road test.

Very bad experience! I have been failed twice by the same Examinator. The last time because there was a cyclist and I was driving slowly behind. She noted that I was trying to change lane to stay far from the cyclist but she failed me for that!

The staff at this location is super friendly and professional. My instructor Diego was calm and concise while giving directions. I am happy that I chose this location to give my road test. Highly recommend this location over the other ICBC locations.

I had my road test with examiner name “Lam” or “Lan”. That was the worst experience i ever had. The instruction was clear and really sudden without giving me time. He was unable to explain why i failed with evidence and really rude when I said I want to talk to his supervisor. It wasn’t an fair result with persuasive explanation from him as a examiner.

Finally passed my Class 5 road test yesterday at ICBC Kingsway after a couple of failed attempts. The examiner (Mr. Lan) was very helpful and kind, he was so gentle to me all the time that really helped to calm my nerves. I’m a slow driver so I’d refer this centre as the road test doesn’t take you on the highway. Also thanks to my instructor Mr. Victor from VN Driving School who was so patient to me throughout my months of practices.

Great location, was super nervous for my class 5 test. Much quicker than I anticipated. My examiner was Lan, super professional guy. Made a few mistakes, but was more than happy and thoroughly explained all my mistakes to me (with detail on which streets and particularly what mistake was made in that area). I thought I failed at first because Lan told me to pull in to park at any stall, but after he said congratulations, I knew what was up.

I came in to get help with my claim. The receptionist who helped me today was very helpful, patient and caring. I went to another location before coming to this location, and the 1st location receiption’s attitude was just horrible.

Passed class 5 road test today. My examiner was Arun and he was clear on giving instructions. What an examiner!

I passed My Class 5 road test today. My examiner Mr. Arun was incredible. He helped me calm down as I was extremely nervous before the test. His instructions during the test were crystal clear and very specific. He is an excellent instructor. I am so grateful to have given my road test At ICBC Kingsway.

Just had my class 5 road test with Priscilla. She was an amazing person. She gave very clear instructions and didn't rush me. I felt much less nervous as a result. We did a downhill parallel parking on one of the residential streets and drove through a bunch of school/play ground zones and main roads including Kingsway and Knight street. The last maneuver was a forward parking at ICBC parking lot. This location is much better than Point Grey. The staff members were all friendly.

Well I could not make it for my class -5 on my second try, but I really like the way Arun guide me today. Showed me the right path to reach to class-5.

I recently got my class 5 license here and It was my first try. My examiner Mr. Arun was super polite and very clear at giving instructions. Other staffs were nice too. Overall I really liked their service.

I did my class 5 exam yesterday with a very nice driving examiner. He was patient, kind, and inspiring.

I finished the test with joy. ICBC and the examiners here at Kingsway are great. Although this is my 3rd time before I made it, all of them were kind and reapectful. If you fail, its just for the good and safety of everybody. Being an examiner is not easy. They risk their lives too and everyone has to understand that.

I got a road test at Kingsway. I am so happy in my first experience of the test. My examiner is Mr. Arun, he was so kind when I nervous, he alway calm down me, extremely clear to explain the directions even though I wasn’t to pass the test but I should admire the staffs in there. Everyone have a good quality of examiners and excellent service mind. I will take a exam there again

Very organized and timely road test.
They need to add more examiner as no slot available for 6 months.

Fast and on time, I took my road tests with two different Examiners, the second one looked tough but he was fair.

Initially, I was on the nervous side entering the building, but Arun was great with easing my nerves. Overall, a very pleasant experience with Arun. Great job!
