ICBC Driver Licensing (Road Tests Only)

I just finished my toad test today. I was so lucky to have a considerate and calm examiner name RYAN. He was wonderful. Thank you for passing me.

I had my road test in Hope with the examineer John. He was precise but gentle on his instructions. He was kind to me, that takes my nervous away. I would never forget when he said to me you passed. I cried with joy, finally I got what I've been longing for so long. To John, thank you so much. You might be thinking It was a normal day working doing the same routine. But to me, it was a blessing.

My experience was smooth at the Chilliwack icbc for the road test. The instructor gave clear instructions which was easy to follow.

This is perhaps the upmost professional experience I've had from a government agency in a while. The examiner was clear and concise in their instructions. Thank you for your service.

The slim guy white he distracted me till 20 min later a bycicle was in other side I didn't stop he covered brake and stopped talking he ate my head by distracting me

I got today failed today for my road test.
I think it was not a good experience. The old lady was the instructor. She also said i did well in my test and had good shoulder checks but at last she failed me. I don’t know why.
Its not only my review. Kindly have close look at the test for which she is assigned as an instructor. Because everyone cones with hope and everything cant be perfect. If there are some minor those should be told and waived. Obviously when you do well and get failed it cause mental disturbance. Its my request to do fair results.

I pass my class 4 road test my examiner was John he was very polite and nice and he gave me clear instructions and he made me easy to pass my test thank you John

I passed my road test today, got my N! The examiner was James G. He's a nice guy, and gives instructions very clearly. I felt calm during the entire time of the test. At the end, he gave helpful tips for keeping safe on the road. Thanks James!

I never been here but I'm wondering if my dark skin will effect my skills today I failed my class 1 because if that so I hope the examiners are not panicking when they see multicultural people I hope

I wanted to share that I had a wonderful experience at this location for my road test yesterday. My driving examiner Cathy was very polite and made me feel very comfortable during a stressful time! The other examiner I spoke with who checked me in at the counter, was friendly as well.

Staff here are super helpful and polite. While taking my driving test the instructor was very clear about the direction they wanted me to take with plenty of warning in advance. Was super friendly and helped me to relax a great deal before beginning my test!

Ryan you are the best examiner of all examiners in the world. All stars go to Chilliwack ICBC. Excellent and professional service, it was worth to come 100 km. P. S. Chilliwack is beautiful and cozy town, will come here again for sure.

The odd time, on a very rare occasion our feed back from students on a road test can be negative but it is not often.

Whether pass or fail, I appreciate you guys taking the time to talk to students each and every road test.
We do appreciate what you do.
Harp, you and your staff have always welcomed my questions and I appreciate that as well.

It's been just over a year for me, in the instructor role in Chilliwack and still learning, understanding the unique challenges of teaching different student personalities.not all students learn the same. I thoroughly love doing this job. I appreciate when you guys question and or ask us and guide us to do better.

If U have a road test here and the examiner is the bald guy came out from ICBC hundred percent you going to be failing this test, The examiners should make you feel comfortable but absolutely he is not. I feel so sad for ICBC how they hair somebody like him!

ICBC was not helpful with my insurance needs despite my numerous requests for help. They were more interested in getting my credit card number.

My review here is for Mr Jame. And I have to say He is rude.
I did not do this because I failed the test as I was with few examiners before and they were all cool and reasonable.

Due to backlog of Road test booking, I was waiting for 4 months to have a second test and had to drive to Chilliwack to do the test while I live in south surrey. Mr Jame was my examiner, I wasnt sure if he was so stressful of many bookings that he had to due with everyday, but the vibe he gave me during my test was very uncomfortable.
Starting from check in ID procedure. English is my second language, so i was confused little what he said about ID (he talked very fast) and then he said somethings like " I have been working here for 7 years and I know what do do okey blabla.
I was like. What? Did i do something wrong?
Even my husband who sat near there, told me before the road test that my examiner already gave a bad vibe. Then Car checking, I felt like he had a problem with the smart car.
Mr Jame, you need to chill, man.
Before the test, I already knew that I was done. I just wanted to be over.

ICBC should do something with backlog as the interim driving license will expire soon and there are no spot available to book whatsoever.

I am a mother of five children and my husband works every day of the week from ten in the morning until nine in the evening and I need to go out and buy all my needs for the house and for my children as well. I also have to walk four times every day to school and come back because my children go to school at different times. I took the driving test three times, but I did not pass the exam. I think there is no justice. My luck was very bad. I really need a driver's license as soon as possible. Also, there are no days or times to book easily. It is very difficult. I feel very sad for this. Please help.

I am really happy to post this review specially for the dedicated approach of Mr James who was my examiner for today road test. I really appreciate his great attitude through out the exam.

One of the best ICBCs in Greater Vancouver Area. It is a bit far, but worth it. The staff is very friendly and puts all efforts that you will succeed. I my case I had issue with my car. Officer rescheduled my exam for later time for the same date so that I can fix it and come back. They are also human at the end they know what kind of stress you go through. I had all positive experience with this office! Thank you for all and God Bless you!

I just passed my Class 7N road test on my first try here today and I have to say it was an amazing experience. My examiner Hayley was very nice and made me feel comfortable during the entire road test and she spoke in a very nice manner. I recommend you come here for your road test.

Horrible experience here, the elderly lady examiner failed me with no violations without barely any reason. I'd save your money and time and go somewhere else this place is a money grab! Don't waste your time with this establishment

I’m not exactly sure why James has so many bad reviews on here, I personally had him as my class 7 examiner and he was great! Friendly and very clear in instructions and made a very fair evaluation in my opinion, I have taken my N test 4 times in total before passing, and out of all the examiners I had he gave me the impression of being the most approachable

As per my experience, Jame is an excellent examiner. He is fully dedicated to his duties. I have all my appreciations for this young man. After exam he explained all mistakes so that driver could rectify for safe driving. I have all my appericiations him.

This system does not allow us to complain directly to the examiner so this is the only platform that we can leave our review.

We also had an very negative experience with James. We are not sure how he is able to have a job with ICBC or anywhere for that matter. James goes out of his way to be a miserable human. He takes the most exciting experience for a teenager and makes it more nerve racking and sucks the joy right out of it.
Do better ICBC.

Great experience for my Wife and I taking our Motorcycle Skills Test (MST).

Harv was very nice, soft spoken, and had no issue explaining everything that we needed to do for the test. No pressure at all, other than what we put on ourselves! Haha

I had a bit of apprehension going into the test after reading the extremely negative reviews of some of the examiners.

If you get Harv, you'll be pleasantly surprised, great guy.

It was awesome. I didnt get nervous at all. A big thanks to the instructor who made me feel like a friend and it went so well.

I recently came in for my class 3 with air brakes road test. I passed. So this is not a reflection of not passing my road test and then directing my frustration towards my examiner.

I physically can not understand how James has a job here. I have never met someone so rude in an ICBC before. I may not have ever met someone as rude in any capacity ever. That’s how rude this “gentleman” is. Cold, aloof, and barely acknowledges you as a human being. How on earth does this man work in a customer service field?

I thought for sure I’d be failed after him and I got off immediately to a bad start before we even got into the vehicle. There are no smiles, no pleasantries and just pure attitude and rude behaviour from him. Mind blowing.

Had my N test here today. John, my instructor was very warming and nice, and made the test much less stressful. He gave clear directions throughout and went out of his way to give me tips on how to improve my parking. Great place
