Just did my class 5 and passed. Joel is an amazing instructor and does not make you feel nervous whatsoever. His instructions are very clear and his positive energy definitely helps you feel more confident.

I booked an appointment and showed up 10 minutes early as expected. It is standing room only in here. I have no idea if I will get into my appointment in time, and I have no way of knowing. I have other appointments to go to today. I thought an hour would give me enough time but that is very apparently not the case.

Why even have an appointment booking system when it seems like I'm just put in the same line as everyone else? ICBC really needs to work on their customer service. Either that or they need to offer more self serve options because they are obviously understaffed and/or overbooked

I will have to leave and book a new appointment. I will make sure to dedicate an entire day to the endeavor. My mistake.

Painful, waited in line outside for over an hour just to get inside to wait in another. Once I got inside it went fast while I was waiting outside I went online to make appointment and they had nothing open for 10 days. I guess they're doing the best the can without what's going on in our world right now. It's not as bad as telus lol pack a sleeping bag of your going to wait for them lol I wrote this during covid time but I was actually in there recently and I was in and out in 25 which was pretty good there was 40 people in there at least. So nice job ICBC

The manager at this office has absolutely no knowledge and skillset for customer service. She refuses to listen to your concerns and she keeps talking to you in an undermining tone and bullies you with her words.

Highly suggest making an appointment before you go otherwise you'll wait a while. I had an appointment to renew driver license and didn't wait very long. The building is clean and has AC. Rating 4 stars because the seats are very close together and you end up touching the perspective sitting behind you

I went to get an address change, they put a sticker on your license. What a joke. Talk about mickey mouse, they just slap something on your license that wears off in a week in your wallet. For how much icbc hoses us on a regular, they can print us new cards! This monopoly needs to end! They treat us with such disrespect it makes me want to throw up

I went there with my brother, who moved here from Ontario 2 days back and was not familiar with anything, he was having difficulty understanding English, i was helping him but the lady KAREN, she was rude and frustrated did not greeted him. He was already nervous and she made him so uncomfortable that he was not even able to explain properly. She stopped me and said not to help him, but neither she did explained him gently. What’s the problem if I’m trying to help my brother? I went there few days back too and that time there was another sweet lady, i left in paper review for her.

If I could put zero stars I would. The lady at the desk that first greets you was in a foul mood. She was nasty to the guy in front of us and then when it was our turn was even ruder. Everything out of her mouth was unprofessional. They had little hearts up with the words "be kind" on the glass. I removed it after her saying several rude comments and turned it around so she could see it. She then yelled at me telling me not to touch her stuff. I complained to her manager who assured me that she would be doing something about it however I have my doubts because she said she didn't see or hear anything when we complained and she was standing right beside us.
Anastasia however was amazing that helped us once it was our turn. I would give her only full stars.

The person I had was not happy at all. She did not pay much attention and failed me for things I did correctly. She had said I didn’t do them. I am very upset.

Still have lineups due to people still expecting to walk in and get served, but the appointment system made my total time 10 minutes as apposed to 2 hrs the last time. Love the appointment system (when it's working)

My roommate from India has been trying to get his learners licence and has been turned around 3 different times, all for different reason, one being that his passport was not sufficient identification. He has come home saying the man he was dealing with was quite rude to him, unclear, and unhelpful, leaving my roommate intimidated to go back. How come two visits was not enough for my roommate to be treated accordingly? It’s just a learners license test for goodness sake!

Wow.very impressed. I made an appointment.walked in.was pleasantly greeted by the front desk.no lineups.not crowded at all.
She assigned me a number.sat down.and was called up under 2 minutes! Jessica was extremely friendly.chirpy and upbeat! Very nice.very efficient. Very professional.got my paperwork done quickly.was out of there in under 10 minutes! Thank you for the wonderful experience!

The staff at the counter were very friendly and helpful. I was in and out in 10 minutes. It was a nice experience. A sign out front says that walk-in appointments are available until 10am, so you may want to go online and book an appointment before just showing up. Hope that helps make it easier for you.

Update: had an appointment recently and the staff was amazing. Everyone was very pleasant to deal with.

My appointment was for 11: 15am and I was there well before time but they didn't get to me until 11: 30am. They're super busy so please expect a wait time.

Gave my road test today and sadly did not pass. Won't blame the instructor for my mistakes but she was not clear with her instructions and did not ask me if i had any questions before the test started. Nevertheless, after the completion of my test the person did not even explain me all the points she marked out. I believe as an examiner the person should have explained my mistakes and should have let me know what things should have been done.i understand that they gave me a letter which had the reasoning in it but again it was in small points and it did not elaborate my exact scenario. Overall the staff was polite and everything was done on time.

So I think it is important to first mention that my wife and I just moved here from Ontario.
And I can truly say without a doubt that our experience was the most pleasant experience you could have asked for. I do not remember the young ladies name at booth #4.and the gentleman next to her but again.thank you for being so curious and friendly.

I want to share this was my absolute worst first driver's test! I felt he was rude, racist, and even lied about me turning left. I booked 6 month in advance. I dont recommend the gentleman I got.

I’ve only been in BC for 8 months now and every experience i’ve had with ICBC was the worst from extremely slow claim settlement to being charged ridiculous amounts for the basic coverage just because I have an out of state driver license, the people are rude and no one cares.
If I could give 0 stars that’s what They’ll get.
Too bad I am forced to deal with them

This place is legitimately awful. Most people who work there seem like they hate their job or themselves, or both. It’s actually a shame this is the only ICBC Licensing centre in the Kelowna area because it’s flat out terrible. I’d give 0 stars if I could.

I mean, I never love going to ICBC but hey at least with the appointment system it's only a little bit of waiting as opposed to a lot. They're super nice here and very efficient so that's a big plus. All in all I still wish I could renew my driver's license on the internet instead but if I have to.put on pants this is the least worst option.

Don't bother making an appointment because they'll serve walk-ins before appointments! I had to wait almost an hour for my appointment. Staff are friendly; it's a management issue

Its truly unfortunate when your examiners fail you for going 5 under the speed limit in a residential zone. Sure speed control is one thing, but going a constant 50km in a residential area with cars lined up on both sides, and not to mention hidden driveways with children and cyclists around. Maybe the examiners will re evaluate themselves when they get charged with manslaughter. Speed limit signs exist for a reason, as a SPEED LIMIT, it clearly states MAXIMUM SPEED PERMITTED. These limits are there for ideal road conditions. Children playing in the street and running across the road are not IDEAL CONDITIONS. Even the young drivers manual states to drive according to the hazards and conditions around you. I hope one day ICBC overhauls theirs driving criteria, because it is not black and white like they think it is.

I know. I know. Lol had to come here to change some id over to new province I moved to. Was not sure what that would look like as the previous province I lived in was heavily privatized. Was really impressed with staff and how quickly they processed my paperwork. Line up was moved along pretty quickly. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Even humorous. Was not stressful and they did a great job. Took almost a hour but overall was not a horrific experience.

There is some really great staff working at that ICBC but worst supervisor ever and the organisation has to be better. Starting with having better manager in charge. I recommand going to vernon or penticton instead.

Office hours are during working hours. Not open weekends. You book an appointment just to sit in line for 30 minutes. Once you are inside you get a ticket and get to wait another 30 minutes. Booking an appointment just to wait is a joke. Online it says the appointment will take 10 minutes. I'm sure that is true once you are sifted through the line, but that is super misleading.

Staff were doing their best but management needs to make sure all kiosks are open and they were not. The nature of this service dictates adequate staffing. I want to make it clear I am not critiquing the staff. Even with a booked appointment I was not served until 45 minutes AFTER my appointment time.

ICBC has done nothing to mitigate the overwhelming need for more driving tests. The wait time to book a driving test across the region is no less than three months, if you happen to be lucky. For motorcycle and other tests, which do not fall under class five designation, the wait time is even longer. Despite their lack of proficiency, ICBC does not offer license extensions in these cases. For licenses that are not considered class five, ICBC books very few each day, ending their day by 2pm. Considering the responsibility ICBC has to the public, this is inexcusable. ICBC has every ability to hire more employees, if need be, and offer more support, especially considering the circumstances of the pandemic. It is time ICBC is both responsibility and accountable to the public.

Staff excellent, process ok. Rediculous to have one single location for renewing drivers licenses and services cards serving all of Kelowna, West Kelowna and more. This is something icbc agents should be able to do.

I was nervous for my road test going in, but my instructor (Maryanne) was very sweet and I could tell she was rooting for me. She really helped with my nerves and made the experience much less painful than I thought it would be.

I waited 2 hours to renew my licience. It took 7 mins to renew after over 2 hours of waiting. The people here can be nice but this place is a joke. A perfect example of the lack of respect twords insurence holders because icbc has the monopoly on bc and is gov owned so they wont allow private insurance companies like Alberta. This is daylight robbery and we do nothing about it.

You said to make an appointment on your website than I do and wait to days till I can get in. Than show up for appointment and you have a sign "no appointments"! This place is legitimately hell.
BUILD another one in town this whack your wait times! A line up around the corner. Than wait 2 more hours inside. It's time for another one allready.

Booked an appointment to replace a stolen ID and for once was actually asked and given priority in line because of this. Quickest and most painless visit I've had. Don't bother going in unless you book in advance.

Had my road test here. The old lady, short hair and glasses. I don’t know if you don’t eat your breakfast properly or what, Speak up and fix your glasses. Failed me because according to her i was doing 45 in 50 zone, Where no one behind me and slow cars in front of me. No other mistake. Don’t wanna create any drama but check up her record how many people with colour she have failed. Thought of talking to manager but today i was told that it have never happened that anyone will change your result. FIX YOUR LICENSING DEPARTMENT. I bet with those glasses on she won’t be able to see a big stop sign in front of her. Lost my job promotion just cause she couldn’t see properly.

Having come from the US, I will say that the staff here is very nice and helpful compared to any drivers license offices I experienced in four states in the US (OK, the staff in Portland, Oregon was almost as nice but they were an exception). Being able to book an appointment online is very helpful and I found they try to stick to your appointment times within 10 -15 minutes. Maybe I don't understand the requirements of Canada politeness, but they were nice within the constraints of bureaucracy they could not control.

Went to renew my driver's license and the way they are running things at ICBC works really well. So make sure to make an appointment in that way it will go really smooth and fast for you when you're there.

I recently got my Class 5 license in this location after two earlier fails. The first two examiners left me with a terrible and shocking experience that I cannot still believe! I was finally lucky to have a very nice lady examiner called Vera. During the first test, I was responded in a very high tone when I just informed the examiner of my intention to slow down on a snowy road! Do you really need to be so disrespectful towards your examinee? It seemed that she was having a bad day already. Despite the examiner's agreement and confirmation on my smooth driving without any significant faults or demerit points, she failed me after entering me into a distracting conversation in which she noticed I sped up for 3 km/h for only a couple of seconds! She failed me for the violation of the speed limit! Are you kidding me? For only +3 km/h!? I wrote to ICBC but never received any response! Anyway, I just wanted to appreciate Vera here as she is a wonderful examiner for your road test. She is so nice with a clear voice and instructions. She made me feel relaxed and very comfortable by interacting professionally and with respect. She is very understanding, kind, and friendly. I hope ICBC could teach its examiners good manners before training them on how to give the exam.

Be prepared to wait, especially if you haven't made an appointment previously.
At the very best my wait time was right on tim, and the worst was three and a half hours, although I've heard of horror stories of wait times up to 5 hours +

Took my 90 year old mom to relinquist her licence and was treated very well. They took her in quickly to reduce her standing time and treated her with the respect she deserves at her age. Great job!

I highly recommend booking an appointment ahead of time. With things as they are now, they only take walk-ins when they can be squeezed in. When I went I overheard a man complaining that he'd been waiting for over two hours to be seen. The waiting area has been shifted into the garage on the right side of the building, and the waiting lines are color coded according to type of visit.
They were running a bit behind schedule the day I went, but once in the building everything was very quick and efficient. Hand sanitizer was available for use on site.

ICBC is a rude organization with a staff who has been egotistical, arrogant and immodest behavior. I truly wish I could go to another place to handle my driver license issue, but simply ICBC is the only place in BC to provide those services. I have started the lineup from 11 am and they told me the waiting time is approximately an hour. However, I stood and waited 5 HOURS and nothing. I was trying to find an explanation from them, but the answer is rude: “You can continue to wait or book an appointment online”!

This Office is great!

Not only are Covid Precaution Measures well handled, the staff is excellent. Fres made my appointment simple, knowledgeable & efficient and she did so in a kind & happy manner!
