ICBC Driver Licensing

Two tries, and I did not pass the road test. On the first try, I did not see the speed limit in a playground zone because of distraction. My evaluator was kind to me. But, the second one, I had a horrible experience. My evaluator was very strict and he fail me because of a change of lane. I practiced all morning for two days and it was very frustrating when he fail me. In addition, I took two driving classes and they still failed me. I do NOT recommend this office for the road test.

DE Supervisor Milad is contradicting and conflicting individual. He will deliberately find valid reasons to devalue concerns and deflect issues brought upon him. When theres smoke there’s fire. He’s a disgrace to ICBC, management needs to change.

Always mess up my name every time even though it’s on file to include extra characters. Have to attempt a name amendment every time.

The website did not let us book an appointment online despite several attempts, stating you have reached the maximum number of appointments! Then we had to go to the centre as walk in. Waited for 2.5 hours. Then we asked how long more we need to wait to be called and surprisingly we realized that the number we were given was not in their system! Then gave us a second number after 3 hours waiting! Still waiting after 3.5 hours and they say there is nothing they can do! Very disappointing!

This is a claim:
1- What is the logical reason for not allowing our driving school trainer inside our car during our road test?
2-Who verifies the accuracy of examiners' assessments?
3-Why are there numerous complaints in North Vancouver about common individuals failing the road test after 4-5-6 attempts?
4-Why do people claim that going to the North Vancouver ICBC means you won't pass easily unless you have failed at least twice? And people suggest claim centers.
5-Should we aim for a perfection rate of 95% to be successful in passing?
6-How can we achieve a 95% perfection rate without spending a significant amount of money on trainers and driving schools?
7-Everybody knows that without driving alone and gaining more solo experience, you cannot become a proficient driver, right?

I would never give a Government office such as the ICBC a five star rating but once you book online per protocol, the services were applied and provided in an efficient, friendly and polite manner.

One downside is the lack of parking in the mini mall, but if you are doing a road test, it likely is sufficient for you. However, given the numerous businesses needing clientele to park there, it is frustrating and expect to do a few loops unless you luck out.

The website was not allowing us to book online. Tried many times in different days! We had to wait for 3.5 hours as walk in. When asked for assistance and the approximate extra waiting time, the answer was there is nothing they can do and we have to wait for an UNKNOWN duration!

The people who are doing the road test are so mean and rude they need to work on their attitude I had the worst experience

ICBC Helps you with all your ID card, drive license card, health card to be issued or changed, book an driving test. And so many other things.
You better book an appointment online beforehand, but if you couldn't for any reason you can go there in person and have an appointment and if you are lucky, the waiting time would be 15min to 20min!

A few years ago there was a young white lady that was testing experience driver and failing them. I hope she doesn't work there anymore.cause it seem like she was purposely failing people as simple as not double right shoulder check.prob was trying to make people fail so she can earn the establishment more money. FAIL.went to another place and pass with zero error.mot sure how someone can fail at one place but pass 100% on another.

Passed my road test a couple of days ago on my first attempt. My examiner Dylan was great! He was clear on giving instructions and I felt very comfortable during the whole test. Overall I had a good experience!

Just passed my driving test class 5 today. I was very nervous, but everything went smooth. The examiner was very polite and made me feel confident and relaxed! I didn’t catch his name, but the initials are MP. Great experience!:)

I was very anxious to pass my class 5 road test here after reading all the negative reviews. None of what is described there happened to me. The whole thing went fast and smoothly, the examiner (Kent) was friendly, supportive, he didn't try to trick or fail me in any way. I passed successfully with 2 minor remarks even though I wouldn't call myself a confident driver. Parking can get a bit busy as it is shared with a mall, it can be stressful for some students, keep that in mind. Other than that I'd say it's great.

Terrible Icbc never seen in the world, bad management bad people biggest corruption ever hopefully Icbc will be private insurance company nothing else!

Even though I had an appointment. I still waited for 45 minutes longer than my appointment. So what's the point in even making one?

Long line up as always, but any other better arrangements to have more space inside the building

Took my bike test here and had Anthony as my examiner. Great guy who knows his job and also rides a bike, which I believe is helpful. Before taking the test I heard from many people that the examiners are looking for ways to fail you but really they're only making sure you're safe on the road.

Beyond excellent customer service. This time I was blessed with very knowledgeable and resourceful staff. Thank you! Eventually I will be able to transfer my driver's license from Québec to BC. Hurrayyyy

Sep. 15 - and 7 months later it looks like eventually they will accept my driver's license from over 40 yetas, combined Ontario & Québec, and give me the BC driver's license.

I recently had a road test at ICBC North Vancouver, and I am thoroughly appalled by the conduct of the examining officer, "Paul". His behavior was not just disappointing but outrageously rude and overtly racist. Despite explaining my newcomer status and limited English proficiency, he displayed a complete lack of empathy, and his anger was palpable throughout the entire test. It's beyond unacceptable for an officer in this position to treat applicants with such disrespect and discrimination. ICBC must take immediate action to rectify this appalling situation and ensure that no one else has to endure such a degrading experience.
