Usha is amazing! She went over and above in terms of service for my husband. She showed empathy towards our needs and she was the one who waited on hold with road safe BC until finally getting through. We so appreciate her commitment.

To the staff, we don’t come here to hang around. We come here with purpose so please be respectful, nice, kind and considerate to people, please don’t be RUDE that’s all I can say!

I took my ICBC road test at this location today and had the misfortune of having an examiner who was cold and unfriendly. When asking for instruction clarifications the examiner would respond in a rude, annoyed tone. While taking the test, the examiner also created a stressful atmosphere by over-reacting to a minor infraction and by giving me directions in a monotone, cold manner. At the end of the test, the only feedback the examiner gave me was about everything I did wrong. No positivity, no reinforcement of good driving skills - nothing. I would recommend drivers to avoid booking their road test at this location in order to avoid being assigned the examiner I recieved. The examiner I recieved is a middle-aged asian male who wears a face mask and prescription glasses. I can't speak for the other examiners at this location, but this examiner left me feeling cheated and upset so I will not be returning here for future road tests.

Worst Customer Service ever, we just entered the place and the way they spoke to us THE TONE had so much attitude.
We were just there to drop a document that takes just 5 mins or less. They refused to do it because we did not have and appointment.

Worst service!
16 September 2023 2:26
As long as your appointment was booked online, there shouldn't be much problem. The place always seems super-crowded and somewhat disorganized, but I was in and out in about 30-40 minutes to renew my driver's licence.
But I was pleasantly surprised that the licence arrived in less than 10 days:) I was initially told it would be 2-3 weeks.

Avoid this ICBC centre as the grading is inconsistent and based on ambiguous rules that the examiners can fail you for. Sneaky part is they'll demerit you in a general area so you cannot even dispute the results.

Demerits such as: speed maintenance, spacing. Then the examiner will verbally tell you it's because of ambiguous reasons like: going too slow in residential turns, spacing in residential areas (which can be very subjective depending on parked vehicles on both sides). Note "verbally" so you cannot dispute the ridiculous reasoning on paper.

Examiners here are inconsistent at best, terrible attitude with some examiners treating people like they hate everyone. Coming to this Point Grey location is probably the worst one out of the lower mainland.

Reading some of these comments, I wouldn't be surprised if this location has a fail "quota". Doesn't seem to be an issue elsewhere like in Burnaby or Richmond.

They'll have an office worker read these comments and reply the same response like an NPC telling you to speak to their office manager. When you DO speak to them they will find ways to dismiss your reasoning no matter how ridiculous their excuses are in failing ambiguously.

Can't wait for AI to replace all of these useless positions, standardized driving testing rather than miserable employees taking out their frustrations on unlucky students.
31 August 2023 2:54
I have been to this place like four five times, and I had terrible experience all the time. They failed me for tiny little mistakes. They are really good at failing people. What a place to waste your time and money. Not even piloting is as difficult as the way they want you drive the car.
19 August 2023 13:33
I would really like to know how does the instructors get their performance reviews. Is it based on how many people they fail?

At the beginning of my exam my instructor Shashen or something (sorry don’t know how to spell his name) tells me he’s not there to trick me or misguide me during my exam. English not being his first language - which I totally understand - it was already hard to understand his directions. He was also hard to hear and had distracting body language. I felt like he was wanting me to fail by giving me vague directions. I’m also very sensitive to smell and his cologne was so heavy and distracting too. $50 experience. Probably thinks he did something.
14 August 2023 3:25
I would like the manager of this office to get in touch with me regarding my experience of being treated unfairly
25 February 2023 21:08
ICBC it’s the real joke, it’s better not to have a car in Vancouver or just pray not to get into an accident, they will screw you over plus what to say about the rates for insurance.
19 January 2023 3:19
The staff working here need to work on their attitude. I was served by a snooty older Asian lady with short hair (maybe Filipino?) who was as unprofessional as can be. She answered my questions with so much sarcasm, condescension, and sneering facial expressions. It was quite insulting to be honest, even though I kept smiling and was friendly throughout regardless of her unprofessional behaviour. I was there to renew my license, I had booked an appointment as well. The funniest part is that my appointment was scheduled for 10 minutes but I was in and out of ICBC in like 4 minutes. It’s quite remarkable that she couldn’t be professional even for a few minutes. It’s our right as customers to ask questions, clear our confusion and understand the rules of our license during an appointment, so we can all be safe drivers in British Columbia. Train your staff to be better - it’s bad enough that ICBC has monopolized insurance in B. C, the last thing drivers need is dealing with such pathetic excuses for service representatives.
09 January 2023 16:25
I had a bad experience with this center today. I applied for a driving knowledge test. The person doing my administrative work asked me questions in a rather sharp manner, the reason I did not understand. "why are you applying for this state's license when you can drive with your own country's license because you are a student? " As a resident of this country, I have the right to apply for a driver's license. When I mentioned the issue of the high costs of driving with my country's license, she tried to prevent the continuation of the process. I explained to her that there are many reasons for getting a certificate, such as the different rules and signs and that I live in this city. But she insisted that since you mentioned the cost issue first, it should be referred to the residency team. Finally, after a back-and-forth and rather challenging conversation, my work continued. But Isn't the cost issue important besides several other personal reasons? And for students? And that I did not understand the reasons for these questions and this approach. This behaviour raised my stress, and I wondered why I was treated like this.
01 January 2023 12:13
I took a road test for a class 7. Everything thing was good but then the instructor tricked me by asking me to take a left turn on a u-turn road. And I questioned him to confirm the left turn and then he told me i missed a stop sign which i didn’t as i just stoped an 3-4 inches ahead of the stop sign while confirming the stop sign.
18 December 2022 16:25
Incredibly rude, unhelpful, and unempathetic road test examiners, unprofessional beyond belief. I do not recommend coming here for any reason, and especially not to take an exam.
15 December 2022 18:18
I took my Level 5 road test today and I met a skinny, hatted examiner who was almost 55 (not sure) years old. He looked very serious and he greeted me kindly. I told him I was nervous and he said to relax and do what I normally do when driving. He patiently gave me an overview of what the test entailed before the test. I was afraid of speeding so I drove slowly and he was able to correct me and tell me what to do. He encouraged me a lot and hardly put any extra pressure on me. This is my fourth test and I'm actually very stressed and I don't want to have to take the point grey test every month. I'm driving a silver Mercedes suv today and if you can read this comment, I want to say thank you. Thank you for the encouragement and correction. He should be an examiner with a lot of experience as well. Thank you. I hope all is well with you.

Took my air brake knowledge test here for CMBC.
Friendly bunch of people and my appointment was on time
08 December 2022 20:51
Another terrible road test experience. I have to say no matter how good your performance are, they just randomly fail your test. Today they failed me just because I should turn back and “always” stare at the back window when reversing the car. And the examiner said oh your handling and reverse parking are really good but bla-bla-bla. Come on, if you just wanna fail me to fulfill your daily fail portion, you can just tell me that I’m gonna fail you no matter how your performance is. And I will totally understand and pay you 35 bucks and leave. Please don’t waste my time and gas. Okay? The gas is really expensive now, please consider my suggestion.
06 December 2022 20:15
Passed my class 5 today! My general experience here was amazing today! From the receptionist to my examiner (his name is Sid), everyone was so friendly and kind, I didn’t have to wait long either. Sid was so patient, chill and helpful. I was incredibly nervous but Sid really helped me calm down. Throughout the test, he provided helpful advice to ensure our safety for the test and for future driving. Thanks Sid! All the best - Erica
24 November 2022 3:53
Took a class 7 road test here four months ago and got the east Indian lady examiner. She already looked angry when she helped me to sign in. When exam started she said more than twice "I'm not here to trick you and I'm not trying to fail you" which sounds was so mad and odd at the same time. When I started test, she sighed every two second. It made me super nervous. And she kept saying why am I too nervous and asked me to stop the car if I am too nervous. She was sounds like mad that I was doing deep breathing in and out to make myself comfortable. I couldn’t tell her that you sighed a lot and look angry that made me very uncomfortable and I am so regret that I didn’t tell her that. I don’t want to experience that again.
17 November 2022 20:11
The Asian examiner was rude and mean (I am Asian as well). I don't know why he is still working there. I've seen so many complaints about this guy. He asked me if I had any questions, but when I asked him a question, he didn't want to answer. ICBC may have forgotten that they are charging us a lot of money for the road tests and so we deserve to be treated better. This location also blocks their parking lot from people who want to practice parking after hours or on the weekend. They are just mean all the way and is doing everything to fail you.
19 October 2022 21:44
This brunch is really has nice and helpful staff, walk in welcome and it’s not that crazy line up.
23 September 2022 7:55
It’s incredibly sad to see what’s become of a Crown Corporation that is funded by its’ tax paying citizens. Rules, policies and procedures are meant to be followed - I get it. Common courtesy and customer service are also fundamental. The staff I dealt with were rude, entitled and acted as if they were doing me a favour by providing a fundamental service for which I booked an appointment well in advance. Further, when a customer books an appointment for 11am and doesn’t get seen until noon I think I’m within my right to ask at 1145AM whether I’ll be seen soon or not. The latter is especially pertinent because last time I was 10 minutes late and the front counter told me I had lost my cue and to rebook - it’s a double standard. I could have swallowed all of the latter had the front counter shown a shred of decency, politeness and empathy. Terrible experience.
21 September 2022 16:28
This point Grey ICBC location is one shitty rude service for the people who walk-in.
Do not go to this place. Download location is better servie and they are much more happy with their job.

point grey shit service
20 September 2022 18:32
I spent a better half of 15 minutes getting shouted at by a white woman behind the counter and an grilling and inspection

How do I remember what was at ICBC 10 years ago? The rudeness and the entitlement of the employees here is just next level

Like please quit your job if you don't want to work
16 September 2022 2:50
I went to renew my driver's license; good news is that there was only about a 3-minute wait time and I was done within 10 minutes. This was amazing, especially because I regularly drive past this ICBC location and see lineups of people stretching down the block; but this efficiency was at the absolute detriment of any reasonable human-like customer service. The whole experience (but especially with the woman other than reception who was processing my renewal) made me feel like nothing more than an animal being shuttled through a series of tasks to get out the other side of the pen. She rambled off her script of questions and instructions so fast that I barely had any time to process what was being said before she was starting to prompt me towards the next instruction. I fully understand the need for having a polished script to efficiently get through hundreds of identical renewals in any given day, and I also understand that the employees can't engage deeply with every single customer (both for reasons of time and their own capacity), however the absolute lack of anything resembling genuine one-to-one "communication" was almost dystopic in the feeling it left for me. I've rarely experienced anything that felt like such a robotic interaction where I was seen as nothing more than a number to be processed, or an animal to be shuttled through a series of tasks to get out of the building. This whole set-up and experience could easily have been from a futuristic movie where humanoid looking robots have been installed to handle mundane and redundant customer service tasks. I can't quite find the words to describe the off-putting feeling this left me with, but I felt awful when I left there, and like I was the deficient one. I rarely write reviews, except for really good or really bad customer experiences, and this is most definitely the latter. I hope the manager will see this review and alter the training of staff away from such a route de-humanizing approach with the clients. Thank-you
07 September 2022 7:15
The road test examiner was really mean. Attitude is really rude. My car has no problems but he kept asking me to check my brake light for around ten times. On the road, he tried to trick me to pull over across the solid bicycle lane. I refused to pull over but he insisted and finally he gave a fail. He urged me to change lane but I think it is unsafe so I wanted to wait but he insisted. I have driven 5 years after getting my class 7 licence and had no accidents and tickets, i studied the book How to drive smart by ICBC carefully but he marked me more than 17 mistakes. I took some classes by veteran licensed driving instructors. I think ICBC should remove such incompetent and mean examiner.

Another important thing is that ICBC tend to assign this Asian examiner to test Asians. My wife and I both took the road test on the same day, one is 9am, the other is 1pm, 26 July, but he failed two of us. This is really outrageous.
31 August 2022 22:15
Guy who organising road test appointments is very rude. We came early before our appointment and waited in the line as told us before. After completing document process and payment at counter, while waiting on the bench for getting road test, they told us that we were late for test and need to book a new appointment. Additionally they took the another test taker who had no appointment to line and decide to test them instead of us. Just a big shame for them if they having another line up method.
28 August 2022 23:42
With all my being, I thank you for all the kindness and intellectual help that Ms. Usha gave me. I will not forget them. I wish you the best that you deserve the best.
13 August 2022 6:18
I been teaching around that area more than 20 years
I like the location all staffs friendly until one day me and my student backing into the stalled
There was an examiner lady parking with student but they end up parking on the line and I couldn’t get out of the car.and I just through the window can you tell him to fix the park she ignored me went inside called the vice manager
Who came out and start shouting yelling at me why you talking to the examiner he was very mad very angry in lowed voice in front of Puplic
He could have called me to his office as professional person and tell me his massage
He doesn’t look good for that position because educated people will never act like that by the way I did a big favour to that location by finding the person who hit icbc wall and cost of damage was around $24000 because I was there when it happened so what I got disrespect from vice manager acting un professional insult me in Puplic
I have lots of respect for Peter the manager he was very professional he listens to people but his vice acting like showing he is a tough guy an wants to fight
By the way today I was there and I used the washroom and left but he was watching me and strang looks? !
Some one needs to give him some advice to use his Brain to solve problem not his muscles I hope he get it and Chang his behaviour
03 August 2022 18:01
The worst experience I had at this center of ICBC for road 5 class test total I have 11 years of Indian driving experience; I also had four years of left-hand driving experience in the gulf. I know the rules and regulations on how to drive a car in Vancouver, but the instructor from the beginning is commanding and insulting to me. A bit racist, He confuses me by saying left or right turn at the end of the intersection.one more thing he mentioned in the report that I didn't check the shoulder before making the right and left turn but that is false. At last, I feel so embarrassed about the action he says to park the car outside the ICBC office because I'm incapable of driving.

Is this sort of behavior acceptable? If you're an instructor, you need to be polite, but in reality, they make me nervous and frustrated. ICBC should take strict action against this sort of behavior.
14 July 2022 6:15
I had my road test today, the examiner was super rude, he called my name I saw him and he was already annoyed and ready to fail me. Super unclear with his instructions, my cat can give better instructions than him. Can barley understand what he is talking about. I asked him to double check and he was annoyed already. I get it, you have to fail us in the first test but atleast make some valid points that make sense, no? He said I didn't do shoulder check? Like what? If there is something I am more certain about is my shoulder checks. There was a car atleast at 10 seconds distance from me, and my sier, my great examiner or the examiner "God" made a plan to press the break out of the blues and I was like? What's going on? Completely useless answer, the car was close dude, 10 second aint close. The examiner "God" made a positive note that I did an excellent parking and on the other side he crossed out parking box on the sheet. I am so confused, "God" got off from the car, 3 blocks away from the ICBC parking and said "Drive safe" after failing me comeon man you failed me, how Am I going to drive to back safely? With my "L" I was totally not confused at all, but no one can understand the wills of "God". Oh great God. To all my fellow friends they going to keep failing you, it makes em money and if you are going to try to make sense of their comments on sheet, just don't even try to understand it.

Good luck to everyone
10 March 2022 17:38
I have 25 years of driving experience. I went there today for a road test. The person who came with me for the test was very weird. I did not notice his behavior at all from the beginning when he got in the car and it put a lot of stress on me. It was as if he knew from the beginning that he wanted to reject.first said where is your cell phone. I reached the first crossroads, he said go to the left, after checking the items, when I started, he shouted, "Stop, I said, why he say that the car in front is coming out of the park, and then he wants to go straight? "‍ My heart stopped and continued to the end. In the end, he rejected me without seeing any problems from me and said that you were slow And things like that were not really a problem. I was so confident in my driving that I could not accept anyone who had written badly about this center, and I was saying that it was an excuse, and I just realized what others were saying.sorry guys
28 February 2022 16:56
Well, if you drive someone for the exam be ready to wait outside. The business is empty and they asked to wait outside. Lucky it’s not under 0 today.
26 February 2022 9:28
Had an appointment for an ID card scheduled on the hour. Showed up 15 minutes early, and I was out of there 4 minutes past the hour. Pleasant staff and fast service. Can't really ask for more than that.
24 February 2022 11:26
The first guy kept asking me if he needed to search the car for a recording device, now I know why and wish that I had one.

They say they aren't trying to trick you, but their instructions are certainly ambiguous. He said to make sure you go straight unless I tell you otherwise, so when a "turn right only sign except bikes" came up, I signaled to go right, but then thought I would double check with his rules and make sure it was ok to turn. He said "I already gave the rules, I can't say" so I went straight and it was an automatic fail. He said nothing else was wrong except I missed a 360 check, but he said don't worry you are allowed to miss up to five of those before you fail.

Next time I go, Kevin is the most agro person to take a test with. He was full on yelling in the car at other drivers, way to make me feel comfortable.then he said my 360 checks don't count because I didn't move my full body far enough to each side when I was looking. On the paper it says I missed three, well by the other guys rules I thought you were allowed to miss 5 before failing? He also pointed out things like using the hand break when parking each time, entering the intersection fully when turning left, why were some things I did right with the first guy, and not with the second? Shouldn't this be consistent across the board?

How am I ever supposed to pass because it seems if you follow the book there will be another instructor who likes things a different way.
18 February 2022 4:30
Very helpful, and nice, the place is relatively big so no congestion, but always better to book ahead
15 February 2022 9:28
I passed my N road test last week at ICBC McDonald street location and my examiner Kelvin was great. He didn’t talk, let me focus on the road and was very clear with directions while the test was in progress. Before the test, he ensured I was calm and boosted my confidence.

Thank you Kelvin for your professionalism and feedback.

Overall, a very pleasant experience at this location.
08 February 2022 5:58
I took a class 5 road test here last week and passed. Perry was the examiner and he was super nice, friendly and fair. He made small talks to help me feel relaxed and he never tried to trick me.
29 January 2022 3:43
Check in was easy and smooth, my test started on time. My examiner in the previous attempt was Kelvin & I can say he is a gem! Very calm, easy to follow instructions, made me feel as if I was driving with a friend so, I felt confident the entire test. I failed that one due to a very obvious mistake. At the end, he cheered me up & told me to keep checking because they have lots of cancellations & I could probably get another test within a month. I did en up getting a date within a month & this time I got Colin (I think thats how you spell his name). Colin was also a great tester. His instructions were clear since the beginning, if I didn't understand something, he would repeat what he said. Even tho we didn't do much small talk, he didn't make me feel nervous at all. In the end, I passed my class 5 test! I do recommend taking your exam here:)!
16 January 2022 16:12
Garbage service. Couldn't understand me nor could I understand her English. Promised me two months ago my license in the mail. Now im back waisting money and time in this garbage place once again
16 January 2022 0:16
I took my drivers test today and I had a horrible experience with the examiner. He was cold, unfriendly, rushed me, he glared at me and did not answer my questions.

His feedback was unspecific and unhelpful. I still do not understand why I failed because he did such a terrible job explaining. He also left the car after the test without asking me whether I had any clarifying questions. I will be going to another test centre for my retest. I'd hate for anyone else to have my experience.
29 December 2021 23:14
The licencing building is okay. The wait is reasonable for the amount of transactions happening there. The people working behind the counter are very helpful. Unfortunately the ICBC policies are not very good. I saw plenty of people equally frustrated as myself with policies. The people behind the counter seemed genuinely apologetic as they enforced them. Overall the experience was okay.
26 December 2021 7:43
Worked with Ahsan he was nice and efficient. I left feeling all my questions were answered. Really good and fast experience getting all the IDs set.
23 December 2021 10:47
This place at Point Grey has a competent work staff and are very supportive. Work service is with high potential and quick.
06 December 2021 11:04
From the moment of arrival to obtaining a B. C.license, all staff were courteous, efficient and pleasant. Thank you for making our appointment happen smoothly.
28 November 2021 4:13
Just took my road test here and was so pleased with how friendly the staff was. I was extremely nervous going in for my test but my examiner, Sean made me feel comfortable immediately. Very personable, professional, and made the whole test feel way less stressful. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone looking to take there drivers exam.
17 November 2021 10:35
Some signs outside directing people would be nice, like I’ve seen at other locations. Stood outside for a while pretty confused, before I felt pretty stupid when reception asked what I was doing just standing there: ’)
line moved nice and fast though.
13 November 2021 8:09
Road test with Perry as the Examiner. Simply Professional and kind. Gave clear instructions and would repeat them if necessary to be clear. Thank you Perry!
10 November 2021 14:51
I gave two stars because the lady who assigned me the examiner was super rude. I was talking to her so nicely but she was replying me back with anger. She is brown with small eyes and she is tall. Please mam learn how to talk to you customers. She ruined my mood completely before my road test. My examiner Joey was super nice. My road test went well but when I was taking left turn suddenly standing pedestrian made his mind to move and he started walking so just to make him feel safe Joey pressed the brake. And I got fail in my road test. After that I got so nervous and I drove over curb when doing parallel parking. I wish I could have passed my road test. But that lady was so bad. I wold try not to go to her again.
15 October 2021 9:02
I had a bad experience, I came to do a road test, and the examiner lie, just like that, I don't know how not more people complain, even at the bank, all people advise me to change location because of the the reputation this branch has of Failing the exam.especially the first time. I Hope you allow the examiner to wear a body cam or use a GPS. Other wise is your word against them. I still don't understand why he lied.
11 October 2021 13:58
I had my road test today at this location with Perry as my examiner. He is nice, calm and friendly which helped me become calm and relax during the test. He passed me at the end of the day and gave me valuable feedback as there are some minor mistakes that I have to improve.
01 October 2021 2:50
It would be helpful if you post a sign outside telling people where to go when they get here. Most locations have very obvious signage outside directing people to a line for booked appointments and to one for no appointments. I’m watching from outside right now and people are confused what to do. Asking others in line etc. No one knows.
26 September 2021 13:35
Just had my Class 5 road test today and I passed! Jeffrey at the counter was really nice when I checked in and my examiner, Rosalyn, was really sweet too. After the test, she also gave me some pointers on things that I need to work on. Staff here are awesome! Highly recommend.
25 September 2021 6:55
Had a road test with the same Asian lady that failed me before. I have no problem with them not passing me, I do have a problem with her as she is extremely rude when I was taking my class 5 road test. She was making condescending comments (thinking back, she was rude in my previous road test too), I just kept quiet. Like seriously, my existence makes you this rude? ! After the road test, when she was making comments of what to work on, she was not very clear on what I did wrong that I had to go in the center and ask an Asian guy (short, spiky hair). The Asian guy was totally different, I told him what I did and the context of the situation and he clarified everything in a professional way and was very nice about it.

So this is my advice to anyone taking a road test there: ask for a different person to test you if you get an Asian lady, just assume the Asian lady is the one I'm currently talking about. She's extremely rude!

Reading the other comments makes it seem like other testers are much more professional and a lot kinder than the tester I got.
02 September 2021 0:04
I just wanted to give a shout out to Joey the examiner. Unlike my previous experience with the examiner being very rude, Joey was both calm, welcoming and made sure he was not intimidating throughout the process. He made an effort to talk to me which helped me calm my nerves. It’s a choice to be nice and it takes effort to be calm and patient, I felt Joey embodied that. If all examiners in ICBC could learn the basic people skills from Joey it would definitely go long way.
22 August 2021 9:42
To the fantastic staff working at the Point Grey ICBC. I had another awesome experience at this location while getting my class 5 license. I’d especially like to thank Jocelyn, she is a honest, easy going instructor! I really enjoyed my experience there!
16 August 2021 11:34
I finally got to go and get my Canadian driving licence Class 5 yesterday and was pleasantly surprised!

I am usually stressed out when doing any tests, and though I was long time driver before moving here, I always under-perform and make mistakes when stressed and when being tested.

Chris, my driving examiner was really respectful and understanding and made me at ease. This in turn, made me feel like I was driving with a friend so all stress disappeared. Because of that, I was able to drive as I drive regularly and was able to easily pass the driving exam!

Hope more people are like him and when we are being tested they can make us at ease!

Thanks!
15 August 2021 10:36
Wow, the white lady at the counter really made me believe systematic racism do exist and thrive. Absolutely disgusted by the service
02 August 2021 9:11
Hard to get exited but the lady running the door 9th July 10-20 am was superb she knew her job and got everything
spot on!
22 April 2021 21:18
Very efficient and organized. I passed my Class 5 road test here on my 2nd attempt. Both the times the examiners (Perry De the first time, and I dont remember the examiners name during the 2nd attempt) were friendly, professional and reasonable. I highly recommend this ICBC if you are taking a road test.
17 April 2021 20:46
Took my road test here it was a great experience. My examiner was very calm and nice with his directions. Inside was very organized.

I couldn’t be more thankful today. Philip was amazing examiner. He definitely made me feel very comfortable while doing my road test and that’s the key, even though I was still nervous. Keep the good work guys, well done!

The wait was relatively long (almost an hour), but expected with ICBC.

I was renewing a license. The lady at the counter was rushed, curt, and rude. She was so set on efficiency and speed, that she failed to understand what I was saying, and ironically took way longer than necessary. If she had slowed down and actually listened the process would have been much smoother.

The lady I met with was clearly unhappy to be there, and on a mission to make everyone else feel the same way. I would not recommend this branch.

Staff at this location is kind, organized, and efficient even with covid-19 protocols. The guy who helped me in station #5 today was friendly, respectful, patient, and efficient. Renewed my driver's license in under 8 minutes which also included wait time.

No wonder this place has two stars, probably the worst customer service that I've ever received. They just hire a bunch of people who try and think that they know everything. Highly recommend you going to another location instead of wasting your time here

I am not sure why this location does not accept identification from Ontario? It seems as though having a Health/Services and ID card, both with pictures, signatures, and most importantly issed by a Canadian Government office, should and would meet the 2 pieces of Government Issued ID, no?

After waiting weeks for an appointment, which are incredibly hard to come by these days, especially without having cancellation lists, it is incredibly disappointing to be turned away after being told the ID that was presented, wasn't acceptable.

A lady named Usha gave me a hard time in my knowledge test day, yesterday. She was so impatient, and after she found out where I was from, she pretended she did not understand what I was saying! While I had no problem communicating with another agent there who was a young blond lady, who was so kind, with a smile on her face all the time we were talking. But Usha was frowning, was impatient, behaved disrespectfully and rude to me! I talked to her supervisor who was a nice guy, and he said he will talk to her, but that won’t undo what she did.

The customer service here is very bad. I’ve dealt with the same rude worker here, she was very unprofessional, she did not allow us to speak at all and would interrupt us repeatedly with “no” as if she couldn’t care less of what we had to say. I have never seen such strong use of white privilege in my life, I do not recommend going to this location they will not be of any help to any of your issues.

I had a gentleman named Alex for my road test. He put my nerves at ease with his calm and friendly demeanour. Thanks so much!

It's like they're not trying to do their jobs. An interaction from today:

Me: hi I'd like to apply for a BC services card
Employee: 2 pieces of ID
Me: hands her ID
Employee: so you're here for a driver's license

The whole interaction was rediclous and frustrating.

Had a very bad experience while submitting my documents at this location. The guy who helped me was very impolite and unexperienced and asked me to submit irrelevant documents in support of application and when I told him I didn't bring those because they were not required; he told me that he's going to send these papers incomplete and just to get rejected because I didn't want to listen to him. I later called ICBC and the customer service agent told me that I submitted the correct papers and apologized. Later, my application got approved by ICBC without any problem and delay. The person at ICBC just ruined my day.

Peter, the manager of this center, is a very very super nice and kind gentleman. I had a big problem with my road test and he helped me to solve this issue. I deeply appreciate your help and support, Peter! Also, thanks a lot to Erin who helped me a lot during this process. Great service and staff!

I feel so humiliated and insulted by this woman who works at this location. I went down to this location to renew my driver's license after being away to look after my father who had a stroke in China. I went straight to this branch to renew my DL from the airport after the 12 hours flight. I was asked if my house was empty and why did I not renew my DL on time. If I had paid for my empty house tax. She cross examined me like I was a criminal just returned from my recent escape. She has clearly mistaken me as one of those people who do not pay tax, live overseas and take advantage of the Canadian system. I am NOT one of those people! I am CANADIAN and I pay my tax and my house is NOT empty, I report it on time each year! My family members (all tax payers) live in the house while I was overseas to take care of my father who had been in critical condition! She only gave me a period of two months of renewal for my DL and told me that my file had been sent to the Residency Office so it is now up to them to decided my DL deserves a regular renew. In the meantime, I can only renew 2 months at a time. The employee at this branch treated me as one of those dishonest people and stereotypical over my race and my country of my origin! This is the worst experience I had dealing with a government employee. The branch deserves a negative 10 if there is a -10.

Was one of the worst customer service experiences i've ever had. Maybe customer service isn't part of the gig here i don't know. Totally rude, confrontational, argumentative experience. Said we do about 20 of these (new to BC drivers licence) a day, we know what we are talking about, and that getting the drivers history from Ontario could not be done online. It can be ordered online and then mailed and does not need to be a faxed request. I could tell I was going to have a tough time by the way she was treating the people in front of me.

Sarah and a gentleman (not sure if he is the manager, but seemed to me like a manager) were super good with all the people at the location. Sarah ensured that I wasn't nervous on my road test by making me comfortable before we went for a road test.
Great management guys!

I waited there for standby for the road test at 4 AM and there were 3 people before me. But only one person got the test on that whole day. So bad! Almost half examiners took Friday off, and nobody cared for the people who waited for standby. I think their management has a huge bug! So disappointed.
