Icon Nails and Spa

Staff were nice but they really rushed our nails so the polish came out uneven and my nails weren’t filed properly. Also noticed that they reuse nail files and other tools. Nail and cuticle clippers were placed back in to a drawer instead of sanitizing liquid.

The lady who did my nails is nice and did a pretty good job overall on painting my nails for the most part.

The veriety of nail polish was stunning including how quick i got in with a drop in appontment right away; since i got these nails done on a monday.

That and the prices are in a good range aka more affordable than some other salons.

However I'll be giving 3 stars for a couple of reasons.

1) Had bleeding on my left pointing finger

2) some parts of my nail on the sides aren't fully painted

3) have/had a good amount of product and gel nail polish all over my back and front hand and figures here and there; and as well allover some of my nails, specifically underneath my right thumb nail and etc

4) and even after asking for the remaining extra product that's on my skin to be cleaned; not all of it was.

Again overall the nails she painted are beautiful and stunning however I just wished my left pointing finger didn't end up bleeding & for no product on my skin for the final result.

Staff here is amazing! They always do such an incredible job! This is my go to nail place:)

Went there for waxing upper lip and chin
They were quick to take me in and do the waxing however a lot of hairs were still left. The staff was friendly pricing seem good and overall for quick fix or run it’s good place to go

I loved my nailss, and Luna was very sweet and took her time while she did my nailss… I recommend asking for Luna when ur there!

They are good with what they do, bt they are highly impatient and rude with customers. As if, other person is stupid. Only because of the behavior, I'll never go back to them!

I visited to that place for the first time and I really like their work. I showed them a picture of nails design and colour that I want and I got exact same thing. So, I highly recommend this place to everyone and prices are genuine too.

I like going there. Girls always pleasant.sometimes hard to understand.but that is my fault for not listening properly

I really had worst experience here, had my face waxed and she didn't do it properly had to tell her so many areas she missed and she got wax in my hair. On top of that she was on call the entire time. Lesson learned no waxing at nail spa. I took my mom here with me because Mary and Luna was recommended by my friend but turns out someone else did my mom's nails not the people I requested when I called and booked. My mother somewhat liked her experience even though the nail tech didn't do thorough work of painting the side of nails. And lastly, I agree that it's not your fault it snowed heavy and my mother fell and I don't know exactly what happened because i didn't see her fall. But shouldn't you put caution board for slippery floors? Or atleast put mats when it's rains or snows to avoid slippery floors. I saw couple of them skid while waiting for my mom to finish, just my opinion.

Out of all the nail salon I’ve been. This one’s best one. Ladies are well trained. I got my nails done 3-4weeks ago and never chipped yet. I am so stunned. Other places, my nails get chipped after 2 weeks

I have been coming here for a year now, had a couple different nail techs from here and they have all been great really pay attention to detail and the nails last so long great quality. Love this place!

My girlfriend got her eyebrows done here yesterday and they cut her eyelid to the point that it was bleeding and very swollen. The woman who did it surely would have noticed, and shouldn’t have made her pay for the service. Definitely will not be back here.

My nails were not filed right. And it is not how I wanted it I wanted an ombré and then I got plain pink. Sorry but this place needs to learn more. I also got shellac and it looked pretty but it peeled in a day.

I came in for a refill, and the lady used her nail to rip my existing acrylic nail off on one of my nails. That damaged my natural nail and lifted the nail plate.

They broke my pinky nail while taking off my old acrylics and when they were doing my manicure and finished drying my nail polish, the nail polish was applied in such goopy thick layers that it wouldn’t dry and it all smudged and because I ran out if time I asked them to just take it all off. Then when I asked to be reimbursed 10 dollars they refused. So I ended up paying 36 dollars for damaged nails with no nail polish (although they did a decent job with the manicure/cuticles)

Ask for Heather for the best pedicure and leg massage and Tinh for your nails. I'm never disappointed Update June 2020. Sarah is amazing too. Icon nails. Best salon in Surrey!

My worst experience with Anna today who did my Manicure & Pedicure. She was in a rush & very rough. I won't recommend getting your services from Anna as she's very impatient. Rest of the staff was nice & friendly. They spent good time on other clients for Pedicure.
I didn't enjoy my services & will never visit this place again.

I had my nails done with Luna today at the salon. She is wonderful! She was quick but also paid attention to every little detail. The shape is perfect.

Worst service in Guildford area, even have to wait for so long After booking an appointment too, never going back. And i would suggest not to go there at all, no customer service and other services they provide are just horrible, can’t even explain

I went here on Monday and it was first time to get a pedicure and the lady Anna did a awesome job. There so polite and are always happy and smiling and they greet you right away as well. This is the place I will be going for now on to get my nails and stuff done. ️

I came in last minute in the early afternoon with a girlfriend for shellac pedicures and I was so glad Icon were able to accommodate us.

We were instructed to wash our hands before sitting in the massage chairs.

Tina was amazing and gave me the best pedicure I’ve ever had. She was so sweet and attentive, and I really enjoyed our conversation.

She went above and beyond with painting my toes, and the massage at the end was so heavenly and I left so relaxed! My girlfriend’s nail technician wasn’t as chatty but did a fantastic job on her too!

This is my new go-to place for pedis, they have a huge selection of colours, and I have also gotten a manicure with here gels before and they did a fabulous job then too!

I usually go to another nail salon but for this weekend i couldn't get my appointment booked there so i just went to icon nails.i am glad i tried them, They are completely amazing people.this is first time in last five years i am super satisfied with my nails.

Been going to this nail salon for years -and they're consistently good at what they do. I primarily go for Shellac on natural nails and have moved from surrey to Aldergrove and cannot find a salon that does as good of work as Icon. So I still go here despite the distance.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Excellent location was recommended by a family member. She has been going to Icon nails for quite a while. Lee did my first pedicure & Luna did the first manicure I've had professionally since the pandemic.
The owner waxed my eyebrows.

Icon nails is one of the best nail places I have ever been to and they are my go to. The ladies there are so great and super talented! They are always able to do what I ask of them and make it look even better. I highly recommend this place!

Dishonest employee. Had 2 pedis + 1 waxing done between 2 people but ended up paying for 2 pedis + 2 waxing.
My daughter paid for the pedis as a bday gift to me and I was to pay for the waxing only (the pedis were her treat for my bday). They charged us for 2 waxes. We didn't realize until we got home that we were overcharged. We should've paid attention to the total amounts, YES, but the lady who took both payments at the till (was the same lady who gave us the pedis and wax) should have alerted us. It was only $15 but it's the principle that counts. Will not be returning.

This place is pathetic. I went a couple of times and the service was always rushed. The ladies did not take into consideration that I wanted 3 coats. And when I insisted her, she said that it looks great and 3 coats will ruin it. It’s so hard to communicate with them. Even if you make an appointment, expect to wait for atleast 20 mins. Very unprofessional.

This was my first time going to Icon Nails and have to say, the service was amazing. The place was super clean and everyone was really polite (and wore masks!). Additionally, my nail lady was incredibly detailed when she shaped my nails - I loved the shape!

However, there lacked skill with my nail design. I had to ask my nail technician to do the lines 3 times; they were either too streaky, uneven, or not 'wavy' enough. Despite being unsatisfied, I stopped asking her to re-do them out of frustration.

They also didn't have a good assortment of nail colours. I wanted a muted green as my base but ended up settling for this bright green. Even tho I was hesitant on using this colour, there literally was no other option for me to choose from. And yes, I could've asked for a different colour palette but I trusted my nail technician since I showed her the design before hand and confirmed she was able to achieve this nail look.

Overall, being there for two hours for just a fill was not worth it for me. I left the salon with what looks like watermelon rinds on my nails and I noticed I have smudges on the side of the nail which also diminishes the quality. I wish that I could've had a better experience here and I would much rather stick to the one I've been going to.

Booked an apt for two sets of acrylics with my girlfriend at 11am. We showed up for our scheduled time and there was zero of the ladies available. We wait for 40 minutes but by that time there was no point to even get started on our nails due to the fact that we both had a place to be at 1. At the rate the ladies where going at. We would of probably gotten a started on our nails at 11: 50-12. And that was cutting it too close for us.
Very disappointed with the wait we had to endure, even tho we had an apt booked a week prior.

The store itself has good prices, and has an array of colours to choose from, but the ladies are clearly in no rush when getting your manicures done; and will prioritize walk-in over apts.

My daughter and I came in March 11 2020 for my first time (she has been there before). I'm in love with my nails and the lady that did them. I will be coming back for them when it's time. Thank you again

This week was my first experience having a pedicure. At 89 years old, I didn't know what I'd been missing all these years. Icon is a warm and welcoming place with many professional attendants. Heather gave me a wonderful pedicure experience in 45 minutes of pure joy. I will now be a regular customer of hers at Icon Nails and Spa.

I'm torn. It took me a while to consider this review as I have limited experience getting my nails done. My first visit here was to get my shellac nails removed. They ground my nails too deep in my opinion and it took forever for my cracked nails to heal. Second visit was to get my nails done. Photos below are a week after I got them done. She gave me 2 coats which don't seem like enough. I can see the whites of my nails starting to peek through, and looks sloppy at the bottom where my nails are growing out. Their goal is obviously efficiency, and their service and HYGIENE is superficial for it. They're very nice ladies, and will get you in and out the door within an hour. And they are incredibly well priced! But as there were customers waiting to be served, I knew I was being rushed out. And when I described what I wanted, they offered NO help and did not speak fluent English. Go for the price, but expect to fight for service.

I got a basic mani-pedi here and it was fantastic. However the women kept speaking in Vietnamese and looking at me so no word of a lie I actually think they were talking about me. Maybe it's because I was so relaxed I fell asleep

UPDATE: big toe showed infection in the cuticle area a few days later.very painful.needed antibiotics

Terrible service! I have been a nail manicure a lot. This place is first time. I don’t know her name who gave me a shellac (she is pregnant)
I noticed that they didn't let the shellac polish dry and set properly. The polish came peeled off after three days.
I came back to fix it to see her. Even she didn’t apologize to me at all
I won’t go back there again

Absolutely loved this salon. Heather fixed a botched job from another salon, fixed my super thin nails, and actually massaged my arms and hands with applied pressure. It felt great to be taken good care of. Thank you Heather! This is my go-to salon for life.

Worst experience everrrrrr. The nail lady literally is rushed through everything, my nails were lumpy and bulky, after two days they looked at least three weeks old. Would not recommend.

Went there 3x and last 2x they screwed up.nails too thick and spots missed and uneven.never again.thats supposed to be french tip with sparkle lol nail beds look sick cause she put pink instead of natural and had to remove.

I didn’t book an appointment but they were able to accommodate me right away even though they are busy during their opening on one Saturday morning. I wish they offer their massage chair to work while I was sitting their but none of the staff offered to make it work for you. Didn’t see any of their clients were using it either. What is the point of having a massage chair if they offer it to be used by their clients? I don’t get it.

I’ve been getting my nails done for a few years here. Not every technician is great but they’re all polite, professional, and work hard to get you done quickly without sacrificing comfort. They’re forgiving of walk-ins and try to accommodate if you’re in a rush, and one or two poor experiences have been made up for time and again by professional courtesy and loyalty by the management and senior staff.

I usually just get acrylic nails and have only had pedicure once (I don’t like pedicures in general) so I can’t comment on their spa treatments, but the staff are lovely ladies overall.

Icon nails is always so professional and the staff are so friendly! They do a great job. Lots of options for nail colours. Been coming here for a few years. Highly recommend.

Had to go back 3 times and still did not leave happy When I first got it done I didnt have time for her to fix the way she made them look and two were pointed to the side I was told to come back and they would fix! They did fix the 3 that she messed up but put a slightly different color then the rest on telling me its the same color I will never go back

They do really good nails. I really like them. The only thing i don’t like is there is this girl i went there yesterday. I went there 3 times nd everytime i went i wish i don’t get her she is wayy too rude man! Like i guess she doesn’t know what customer satisfaction is. She was like which colour which colour! Sometime ppl get confuse or change their mind instead of telling me she was yelling at me. If you’re soo tired or wtever just quit your work man! This is not the way to treat your customers. Besides that they do good nails.

My overall experience was quite good. Came in for a mani and pedi. Price is very good for the service. I didnt have to wait at all and they took me in. Only thing that I would have them cosider is not talking to their coworkers constantly in their own language insead of making conversation with the customer they are working on.
Especially that i cant understand what they are saying and at times seemed a little distracted and not concentrating on what they are doing. Otherwise, nice place to get your nails done.

Went to this place today for menicure and pedicure with my mom and sister. We all asked for acrylic nails but different styles. Staff was very friendly and did a nice job on our nails. Will recommend this place to my friends.

It's been 15 years since I got fake nails and Tina was so patient explaining all my options and the pros and cons for each. I'm definitely coming back!

I came in to get my acrylic gel nails removed and I expected a proper procedure instead my acrylic nails were roughly clipped off with a nail cutter which resulted in my nails being damaged. Not to mention a horrible filing job. Paid $15 for this and I do not recommend this place at all

Place was extremely busy but I had time to wait. I got in right away and was fully impressed with my gel nails. I then got a pedicure by hanya' and it was the best I've ever had. The foot massage and hot stones were heaven. Customer service, cleanliness and overall satisfaction with service is 5 stars!

Kim (newest employee) did such an amazing job and was attentive to my needs. She puts a lot of effort and care into perfecting the final look of your nails and I appreciate that.

I came in with two of my sisters and we all got completely different style acrylic nails and each one of them turned out amazing.i wouldn’t change anything about either one of our nails.the lady who did mine was so sweet and talented she didn’t exactly what i asked.the prices of the nails were very good as well! They r also great at time management.definitely would recommend and make this my new regular nail salon

Been here twice now and had my nails done by Emily! She did a fantastic job- i seriously couldn't be happier! They're not only beautiful looking, but they are well done and strong. I'm very hard on my nails and always break them.but these are holding up great.

This was my go-to place to get my nails done, however the last service i received left me very disappointed! I went to go get a pedicure and with normal nail polish color (no shellac), she told me am okay to go and my nails are dry, than she put on my flip flops and hits my nails which wiped off most of the nail color. Instead of fixing it she told me to come back another day and she will re-do again, which to be honest was very disappointed since i went to go get my toes done since i had an event coming up. Still made me pay full and tried to charge me for a design which was completely ruined, the owner had stepped out and wasn't there, however the staff were not very nice and told me it was my fault? WHAT lol, she told me i was okay to go and she went to go put on my flipflops and ruined the color and it's my fault? LOL, customer services skills with the rest of the staff can use improvement.

I had a great experience at Icon. The staff was very friendly and acted like they wanted to be there. I got acrylic nails and the lady did a great job and she wasn't rushed. Would totally recommend! Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there was a strong chemical smell which I guess is to be expected.
