Food to take away or eat in. Delicatessen.
Highly recommended. I went to this one but there are several in the city.

TRIED TO BUY A DRINK AND BAG OF CHIPS (AT THE DELI TILL WHERE THE CHIPS WERE RIGHT IN FRONT OF) AND THE GRUMPY CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTIVE WOULD NOT RING MY ITEMS THROUGH AND TOLD ME TO GO TO THE OTHER TILLS. I BEEN SHOPPING HERE 3 YEARS AND HAVE NOTICED THE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE SO TIME TO BOYCOTT THIS GROCERY STORE. GOOD BYE IGA. OVER PRICED, WITH ALOT OF IMPORTED FOODS.

A little pricey but they have some good deals weekly and the speciality food selection is amazing and the bakery and produce is top notch

Large selection with actually everything you need. Well sorted but unfortunately everything is a bit overpriced.
I haven't tried fresh food counters, but they look good too.

They have a progress pride flag up. Which is funny, given that their security guard decided this trans lady was the person to stalk around the store. Do better.

Good little supermarket. Some of the prices get a bit high on some stuff but we tend to buy items that are on sale only so it makes it all pretty reasonable

Large two store supermarket. They have a small bakery inside and make fresh sandwiches. Fast checkout service. Prices are high (but maybe normal in Vancouver?).

Pretty expensive, don't really have everything at this store.not my first shopping choice at all

The male manager in charge is a real piece of work. A toady person lacking any genuine decency. The whole operation is nothing short of chicanery.

Everything here is $1 more than in Nesters. Milk, berries, bagels, etc were all exactly $1 more.

Love this place. Great place to read the paper and have a pastry. Good for shopping anytime. Staff are friendly, positive and all around wonderful.

Clean grocery store with access to a variety of items. It's not big though as we couldn't get cold Gatorade or 1L orange juice.

Security guards are fake shoppers and follow you around the store almost entire time, I didn’t even realize I first thought the “shopper” had some issues until it hit me nice way to scare off buying customers. Would not come again

I Hope IGA actually reads their reviews! I agree with the others! The cashiers are obnoxious! Especially clerk 370! She was disrespectful and threw my receipt? In my shopping bag and acted like she didn’t want to help me in the first place!

Be careful taking pics of products on your shopping list that you might need to clarify with your partner back home - apparently it's prohibited here, and the butcher will come out from behind his stand and walk over to you to tell you this. Pretty ridiculous.

Cashiers are rude and dont know what they're doing. Hope the downtown eastside people give them hell! They deserve it.

Ideal small sized local supermarket. Doesn't have everything you need for a "big shop" but has all you'd really need to get through a pandemic.

The good: Store is clean, well organised and is pleasant to be at. The bad: Prices are unreasonably higher than other grocery stores, even in downtown.

One of the few big groceries store in Downtown Vancouver black away from Robson st and St Paul hospital you can find many your daily grocery needs here.

This place is so expensive! I have no idea why. The quality of their perishables (?) is great - fruit, vegetables, and meat. But it's not like it's dipped in gold or something. I only stop here a few times a year when I happen to be around to check out specials (which are great when they are on) and to get the self-serve soups (which are delicious and a wonderful deal). I have to chuckle at all the people in the produce section filling up their carts with apples at $2.49 per pound. Maybe I'm missing something. It's really clean, well organized, well "signed" (so you know where to go find what you need), and has a well positioned escalator to the second floor (where the meats are, as well as many grocery items). Many checkouts and paying is quick and easy.

I guess the biggest grocery in Downtown; 2 floors, a lot to choose from.
The food quality (fruit and veggie) is perfect. I care about food quality and freshness and I would say I would prefer this grocery over the "well known fancy healthy brands".
Can't believe I discovered this one only recently.

It's unfortunate that this is the only grocery store within many blocks, as the quality of produce and other fresh goods, including cooked foods offered to go as a quick meal, are of such poor quality. Perhaps it's due to the pandemic? Highly suggest avoiding this grocery store and trekking to Urban Fare, H-Mart or Safeway.

Very poor layout. Staff always following you when doing your groceries. I have been coming to this store for 6 months (2 to 3 times a week) and still someone in your back. I never had this issue when living in Toronto for 9 years. Diversity issue? I don't know. Over there no one is looking after you and you can do your groceries in peace.

Amazingly large for a downtown store just moved into area so will shop there. Great selection. Fish counters a bit weak would be my only complaint

Super rude employees, apparently you can't speak in your native language inside the store because you get mistreated and looking at the other reviews Im not the only one feeling like that.

Experienced super rude staff tonight at closing time. Rushed me out like I was a piece of trash. Walked in at 10: 55 just to grab juice and coffee. Was out after paying at 11: 03.
Other reviews reflect the same, customer service must not be part of staff training.
What a wild holdup, Hope it doesn't push em into overtime. I'll stick to Davie Street next time.

Stores layout is way too congested and the staff treated me like I was bothering them When I was asking a simple question. Rude and ignorant

The store has most of everything you could want.the issue is the stores layout.it sucks big time! Whomever decided on the placements of all their stock should be shot, in my opinion.

Nice clean store with friendly staff. My only complaint is the way aisles are arranged, it seems that some things are not where you would expect them to be. I had to spend quite some time finding everyday items like spices and also had to ask for help a couple of times. All in all, I would shop there again when I'm in the neighborhood.

It's a good store and right by the business district makes it so convenient if you work downtown. It's fairly small and the layout is unusual but it's overall recommended.

Wow, some rude employees work here. A guy in the dairy cut me off when I asked if they sell eggs in half-dozen cartons. An Asian lady at the checkout uttered "OMG" and looked exasperated when I tried to buy yogurts individually instead of a 4-piece package. I apologized, but she just angrily turned her back on me and walked away.

In a Covid world they are doing their part to keep us as safe as possible. Active sanitation is happening and directional signage helps shoppers to keep distanced. This is a handy local store that carries a nice selection of items for any foodie, I just wish the prices on everyday items were a little lower.

Very comfortable for tourist that stays at the hotels around or want to buy/eat at the spot. There is Deli as well. The prices are very high compared to Alberta.

This is a very nice store. Fresh grocery and produce are in abundance. The deli and specialty food counters are awesome.

There are two floor in the store packed with fresh fruits, vegetables, meat and poultry and packaged food in many different names and variations.

Shopping was fun.

The store is well organized and laid out well for shopping in this COVID 19 time.

Expensive grocery store, but meat is cut so that those that live alone do not have to buy half the cow like you do at Costco.

Great location for us, was clean and not too busy. Layout could be better, bit of confusion trying to follow arrows and I strongly believe EVERYONE entering the store should have to wear a mask.

Most expensive groceries in the west end - inconvenient layout - massive lineups - closes early

Very rude staff. There was an overweight middle age lady with glasses at the counter that would become particularly aggressive. I used to buy my groceries in this place every day. I stopped going in April after being mistreated twice. All this place could offer was the convenient downtown location. Definitely not worth the abuse.
