I used to rave about this store and be proud of its place in the community. Closing at 6pm and getting glared at awkwardly and berated by unwelcoming staff during dinner hour is crazy. Coolers are closed, deli closed
And lights are off WELL before 6pm. Not everyone living here is retired and can come during what they clearly wish was 9-5pm. People are spending hundreds of dollars in the last minutes. They’re treating them like they’re sitting at a pub after close nursing a beer. This is a necessity for the community.

Perfect little spot if you are in Halfmoon Bay and you don't want to go into Sechelt for groceries. Staff are friendly and lots of selection and their bakery has the best brioche cinnamon rolls. If you cross the parking lot they have beautiful gardens in the Summer to enjoy!

I found this IGA to be quite impressive. It is a well-stocked store with a large variety of cooking, baking and dining needs. Very clean store, nicely appointed aisles, friendly staff.

Pretty good selection of foods, including various gluten-free and plant-based options. Workers are prompt and friendly.

This store has the charm and friendliness of a small town general store.
The towns pharmacy is next door, as is the liquor store.
The other great feature of Maderia is the dock. Here, the prawns you may purchase from the fisherman are so fresh that they jump out of the container and may bite you! WOW. Were they ever delicious.

Very well stocked store.lots of variety, had no trouble finding what we were looking for. Very friendly staff.

Friendly folks, lots of good stuff. Seem to be working to keep prices reasonable in this challenging time of high cost.

It's the only grocery store close to Garden Bay and beyond. Good selection, friendly staff.a great place for the staples and what you need.

Love this location for the selection. I find I make excuses to go to my storage unit in maderia Park so I can hit the local iga store. Thanks for having such great selection and the Bakery products are actually fresh. Not like sechelts grocery store bakeries. Definitely check them out especially if looking for unique items. They have it all.
