IKEA Coquitlam

Beds are constantly out of stock and disappear immediately as soon as they are restocked. This has been an issue since the pandemic and I would have hoped it would be resolved by now. Very disappointing.

Great place for good quality furniture and furnishings and homeware at a good price. The Swedish restaurant is good and cheap.

Definitely the place to go to if you want to buy your household stuff. It’s a one stop shop and I highly recommend. It was a bit overwhelming when I first visited the place but the second time I went there it was easy for me to navigate.

Went in to customer service looking for the spare parts wall and the very understaffed duo working the desk wouldn’t talk to me unless I checked in to their computer and the wait was 30-45 minutes. During this time I went to the as-is section where one of the staff working there told me the parts section was on the wall to the right of the customer service desk (no signage).

Completely wasted 30 minutes of my time and was rude about it when they could have said “try right there”

I love going to ikea nowadays.however as for the food.i would stay away from the butter chicken.takes really bad and it costs $9.i would stick with their hotdogs.havent tried their fish and chips though.
Update: avoid the haddock and chips. Not good

I had no idea I needed the things I found there until I found them there. Lol
You'll find everything you'll ever need for your home and tons more you'll never need. Do yourself a favor and remember where you parked. This place is huge!

Great place to shop for home and do it yourself furniture and anything related to home. Space saving ideas, great quality furniture and items.

It’s a really nice place to go shopping and the food is like food you would pay a lot of money for but it’s always Busy

Can't go wrong with any trip to Ikea as always something available for any budget. Only real complaint is very disappointed that custimers can no longer pay cash at food counter, & plastic payments at self-serve kiosks take far longer to order (& never seamless as always a glitch or receipts don't print out.

Atop of that, there are still many customers that cannot justify added charge to their bank's debit account. Plus my friend's little kids used to love being able to buy hotdogs & ice-cream w/change.

I always seem to buy more than what I came for because there is a lot of great stuff.

Love this place. But the stock in the store is limited and out in minutes. I spend 2month to find my choice bed frame and mattress after 3in-store visit and lots of hours online finding. Overall Ikea is best for every house needed stuffs.

Went to eat hot dog and hamburger at outdoor seating area upstairs. Really hot day. Outdoor seating area had most of the umbrellas tied up and not in use. There was less spaces to sit with shade. Seemed silly to have multiple umbrellas and all those spots not in use.

Now this was a fun time. Not only the excellent fur picture rooms. But the food was delicious as well.

A bit confusing when entering the store. But alot of selecting. Can't find staff also staff is not very helpful.

Large Location, clean and well stocked. Check to see when out of stock items arrive online, as it shows availability in store. Staff attentive when store is not busy. Lots of good finds for good prices in store that are not online.so it pays to do a walk through. Food in restaurant is cheap but personally I feel its cheap food and not much on your plate, remember you get what you pay for. Lots of parking available, except the underground parking needs better lighting.

IKEA continually helps us live well economically.
One problem on this visit; they didn't have any meatballs! We had Butter Chicken (!), it tasted good, but certainly not Swedish.

It's a two floors IKEA! The place is huge, one can easily spend a few hours browsing inside. It is the only brick and mortar shop i will go for furniture shopping, decent quality, great design for a reasonably price.underground parking lot is huge as is the store itself, never had trouble finding a spot.

I needed one sofa bed. I've been waiting for it for months, and everytime they send me an email saying its here, you can't even have it delivered as you need to personally go down to the store then buy it. Whats the point of having that option in the first place. So I go to the store and its sold out. Complete waste of time. If you have many people inquiring about a popular product, you should have a fair amount of that product ready to sell, for example 20 or 30 sets. If you send out an email to many people saying "ITS HERE NOW, COME BUY IT" and you only have 2 in stock, that just gives many people fasle hope and make them waste their time going there, and by the time they get there its gone. You guys should have a fair amount of the product before telling everyone that it has arrived, instead of notifying 40 people that you have 2 pieces in stock.

I think prices are not reasonable anymore.
Quality wise, I can find better stuff with lower prices

No one seems to work here. I don’t mean the floor staff — the office staff need to sit on their hineys and work on the inventory. Sometimes the floor furnitures say they’re out of stock — you go down to “self serve furniture” and find it (tens of it!)
Online inventory also NEVER match. Almost every single item I try to order online is “unavailable for delivery” or “out of stock” — but it’s THERE IN THE STORE ‍️ there’s only 2 IKEA stores in BC; is it really that hard to keep track of your stuff?

Had hard time getting associates to help during cabinet design process. Could not save design as well. Do not recommend.

It's about 80% of chance that an item I want to buy is out of stock at this store. Always check online before you go.

Went to get a part that wasn’t in the original package. They wanted a receipt yet the packaging said IKEA with all the instructions so where do they actually think I got it?
So as I didn’t have my receipt they told me to go buy a new one. This after I had waited 30 minutes to have my number called up. Incredible is all I can say for a $12.00 item.

Had food around 12 pm on August 24/2021 at Ikea cafeteria. We got the fish and chips and vegan meatballs with fries and broccoli with 2 sides of gravey.
The worst indigestion.possible. Horrible no taste vegan meatballs. The gravey was so cold it didn't even pour out of the side dish containers. The fish was dry. No taste for anything!

The food was so cold it felt like it had been on the counter for an hour. Upon taking the meatball dish back to warm up.the server was inquiring "how is it that no one else complains? "
She then checked the water level under the dishes and it was quite low. No steam was coming off any food and the fries were all lumpy and dry.

I was given a meatballs to taste the heat level which was luke warm.

Upon giving me another dish she counted how many meatballs remain and gave me more ice-cold food with Rashid ed two small cold gravey scoops.

The only thing worth getting at IKEA cafeteria is coffee and dessert. Don't waste your money.

The wait for a return was ridiculous. Apparently some of the debit machines weren't working but all it looked like was employees flitting around from computer to computer not doing anything. Some clarification would have made for a less tense wait and less angry customers.

Reminded me of the hotel room I had in Germany (not the whole store, but the overall feel). The product names were cute and bewildering at the same time

I had a visit to Ikea to return an item I purchased before. The item is still within the 365 days return policy. There was a lady, a white person with glasses. She was extremely rude to us and refused to fulfill the return policy because we already used the product. This is non sense and waste of time and money as well. I'm really upset about my customer experience. I don't recommend anyone to buy into this 365 days policy. It's fulfillment will be subjective to who is doing the return order. I tried to use Ikea website to fill a complaint but found no way of doing this. Just a general feedback form without any follow up.

It’s IKEA, what more do you need to hear. LOVE their veggie dogs. Get the counter person to put two in one hotdog bun. Sooo much better and less carbs.

Just used the click and collect for the very first time.
I am extremely impressed, I have never experienced such efficient customer service.

Way way way better than richmond spacious inside unlike richmond which has a carpark that 6x larger than a cramped up store
if richmond IKEA had carried on building on stilts over there unsued carpark in richmond then they would have a store that didnt look like a horders training display

They reopened for dine-in with limited service and choices. Food is okay but cashiers service is extremely slow. Veggie balls are too dry and no thing tasty. Fish and chips are surprisingly good!

Stock levels are not up to usual fill rates. Maybe there is a seasonal change over occurring, maybe not.

Friendly staff, spacious parking space, wide selection of IKEA products - can't really complain. I mean its IKEA, you know?

Most incompetent customer service I have ever experienced. We have been trying to purchace a whole kitchen essentially from them for 2 months. We were blown off 3 times for our online appointment. By the time we actually got our order sorted, ut took 3 more phone calls over 2 weeks to actually purchase the order. At this time, they double charged the credit card at almost $16000. No apology, "nothing they can do" attutude the whole way through. Worst experience.

Love this place. My only concern are the carts. Every wheel turns so when you are loading things on, the cart moves every which way. Most annoying. Theyhave to do something about this!

This place rules. Easy to find everything. However, I would recommend that management add active employees in case someone needs help. I had a trouble with a few things but I wasnt able to locate an employee to ask for assistant.

Rude service from twin staff members on the floor, and then the cashier rang through the sale but didn't give any information about where to pick up purchase, which ended up being in another location a 5 minutes drive away.

Great showrooms for heir goods. Affordable furnitures and household stuff. Quality is not that great but not that bad either. Great location and huge parking area. Staff are helpful and great return/exchange policy. Never been disappointed with shopping a Ikea. Highly recommended for anyone looking for furniture/household merchandize.

Loved Ikea, but I asked an associate at the light section he said he didn't know. Maybe because i'm only asking for a bulb while he had a customer buying an expensive stuff.

Best to visit on weekday nights, otherwise it's very crowded. However, the cafeteria space is amply large, and I have never been at a loss for seating. They have butter chicken, which I have never seen before at an IKEA? ! Also, try the cloudberry jam.

Great place to walk around and do nothing for a date. Once you’re done doing all that nothing you can go have some food at the buffet style restaurant! Truly a perfect destination for lovers and friends trying to have a chill time.

Extremely rude customers and even worse customer service. I do not enjoy IKEA at all. They really need to work on their customer service and teach their staff manners. This is not Costco. Canadian values out the window at this IKEA. Extremely disappointed.

Very helpful staff here who do they know their stuff.

I was looking for a specific container size I had purchased in the past. The staff responded saying, they introduced new lids and discontinued a few of their items.
I guess Ikea products do get upgraded consistently which can be annoying if you like a certain item.

Second time I've been and the lingonberry drink machine was empty. Someone filled it after I told them, then it sprayed all over my arm. And it stunk! Like dirty socks.

Very bad experience at Ikea Couquitlam, went there on Tuesday nov 20 at 8pm with my wife to buy curtain rails and accessories for 9 windows, since ikea sells the attachments separate I needed help to locate them and ask question but the lady who was there not helpful at all, very condescending and abrupt answer. She was very busy chatting with her male co-worker and had no time to answer and help us, when I persisted to get answer she just told me we don’t have it and will arrive in two days.
Not satisfied with her answer I wondered around to find another person to help me, several minutes later I located another lady in different department and she insisted to find another person in that department without calling a supervisor or manager.
We went there again and unfortunately she was the only one, long story short, she reluctantly answered my questions and said one of the parts still not in and left right after. Totally left the department.
I bought all I needed except the Glider Hooks. This morning I woke up and feeling uneasy about the last night incident, so I checked online and also with telephone checking, to my surprise they have 40 packages in stock!
Is it the employee fault or management? My wife asked me to return the whole thing and never ever shop at ikea.
I get much much better service in Home Depot and Rona. This experience reassured me to stick with my local stores.

What a nightmare to try to find anything in this store. The staff isn't generally all that helpful. One time, we had asked one of the staff member where to find it and he had to stare at a map of the store and still couldn't really tell us which way to go! Restaurant and bistro also seems to close at random times and may run out of food as well.

This Ikea has gotten way too busy over the last few years. They really need to build a new one in the Fraser Valley. Prices are obviously good. Quality of items are alright

Very good selection and excellent service. Although I will say over the last few years prices on some items have gone up a little and the quality has gone down.

Absolutely terrible. I came to IKEA expecting a cheap and delicious breakfast which supposedly ends at 11am, but I did not get that. They apparently ran out of eggs and ruined my breakfast plans. On top of that, the coffee machine was empty which just added to my suffering. I understand that mistakes happen and eggs running out was not anticipated, but they did not do anything to compensate us. They switched to lunch menus which led me to spending 3x more money to eat.

The key is to walk through Ikea backwards. Hit the cafeteria first, grab yourself a coupla yellow dog pints and then let the shopping begin. Such a game changer.

Great location very central.
Prices are great for products and can’t beat their exchange/refund policy. The warranty is really good as well on almost all their products.

The store is well organized and kept clean.

Nice restaurant with a lot of different options on the menu. The only down part is no more Pop.grab a frozen yogurt cone before you go

Well, it's Ikea so the store is real nice and good but the location is really bad if you don't drive. The bus stops are not that close and they come really late so it's probably better if you don't go alone.
But you absolutely have to try their cinnamon buns they taste really good!

Grilled salmon and veggie medallions, with a cup of coffee, costs me $10.5. Maybe the lowest price to get a salmon meal in great Vancouver. Went shopping the furniture after lunch. Easy day!

Very nice IKEA, easy to access to as it right off the highway. Has a lot to offer. A very nice and good tasting food court. Has lots of undercover parking. This and the Richmond IKEA are good.

Love their ice cream but its getting smaller and smaller due to new not well trained staff. The staff dont seems to know how to twist the frozen yogurt.
