My daughter lost her phone on Thursday 13 and we waited a few days. Today it was finally found and returned. Customer service was excellent. Thank you so much.

All we needed was a new mattress for our truck camper.

First off all, there are 20 mattress on display, nice. But when you found yours and want to buy it, 10 from 20 models are out of stock (nice job warehouse management).
We bought one anyway (600$) and went to the customer service to dispose the old one. They didn‘t took it, because „it’s not from IKEA“ and sent us to the recycling station 10km away and told us it is free to dispose it there. When we arrived, they told us that you can’t dispose mattresses there and we had to go to the next place (again 10km away) where we had to pay 15$ to dispose the old mattress.

That is far away from your advertised „100% customer sattifaction“ my friends.

I will never come back to this place ever again!

Frequently out of stock on many items. And returns take forever even on a weekday as they are severely understaffed.

My fav spot for weekday get away. North European cuisine in IKEA is healthy and great portion. Huge parking. Huge playground for kid. What I like the most is its accessibility that it offers just right next to Knight street. So when you cross Knighr bridge and keep right, turn right at Jacobs and you can get there:)

Absolutely incompetent workers working at customer service, wasting everyone’s time. Never asks what service or question people might have, sends them to the queue machine regardless. After a long wait, they just resolve it with 2 sentences when they could have simply said so at first, such as “we do not provide … for this product because of x… or y…”

IKEA please answer your phone. I’ve been trying to get a hold of someone there since not getting an item I paid for back from cashier and it always says you’re closed. I’m from out of town and can’t simply swing by. PLEASE have a manager respond to this. Happy to change review after getting communication.

I was very disappointed with the coordination of the assembly service I ordered with my 2 x trundle bed order. The delivery came as planned but when I checked my status online a few days prior to the delivery, the website showed my status for the assembly as service failed. It says someone will contact us shortly but no one did. I decided to be proactive and contact IKEA just to make sure they can reschedule or perhaps they need to do something about the assembly order.
1) I contacted IKEA phone line, the team member told me they can’t help me with this and asked me to contact Taskrabbit
2) I contacted Taskrabbit, they said they don’t have my info or the order, they can’t help me and asked me to contact IKEA as IKEA collected the fees for this service
3) I contacted IKEA again, was on hold for half an hour to get to an agent, explained my situation, the agent said she can’t help me with it and forwarded me to an escalation office. Waited another half hour before I can speak with the escalation office. The agent explained she can’t change the status of my order, and will need to put in a ticket for the back office to update the status before she can reschedule me for the same time. I asked for the reason why it failed in the first time, and if Taskrabbit is actually not available at that time then would reschedule me at the same day/time will cause the scheduling fail again. I was reassured it won’t, and will take 24h for back office to update the status and then I can be rescheduled. I was given a case number and will need to call back the next day to get the status
4) the next day I used the online chat option with the agent which was a lot better and faster than the phone. I was informed the status has been reset to planned, and that we have been rescheduled for the original day at the same time. I asked if we will get a confirmation from Taskrabbit or if we need to confirm anything with Taskrabbit, the agent reassured me that everything is all set, we have been scheduled, don’t worry and they will show up. I checked the order of my status online, it did reflect that the service was planned so I THOUGHT it was all set.
4) I checked the next morning again my status online, which is the day of the assembly, and it turned back into Service Failed status! I have spent 3 hours during the last few days thinking I have resolved this and it has just gone back to square one.
5) given this has just wasted too much of my time, I contacted IKEA online chat again yo have them just cancel the assembly and get a refund. We might as well do it ourselves with all the time spent on the phone/chats with the agents to schedule the paid assembly!

Completely ridiculous and unacceptable- not sure what type of customer service this is needing the customer to spend 3 hours to just try to fix an error in IKEA’s scheduling system/connection to their third party vendor. And at the end not even fixed and have to ask for a refund for the assembly service, and we end up just doing the assembly ourselves.

It would have been a lot better if perhaps they just don’t promise that they can do the scheduling and give us the website of Taskrabbit perhaps for the customer to pay and schedule with Taskrabbit completely.

The help desk staff also seems to need better training on handling these system errors - so they don't give wrong instructions/information to the customers (sending them to Taskrabbit, promising service was scheduled and still failed at the end) making them go around in circles.

I bought some furniture here and used the click and collect service (fancy name of curbside pickup). When I arrived the spot, I texted the message for the pickup, but there is no response… I then went to the customer service to pick up the furniture. The assistant told me that I need to move the furniture by myself even though I paid for $5…

Amazing experience to shop here. Great number of display selection of furniture on sale at reasonable prices. Staffs are professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. Love their hot dog and ice cream store.

It’s a trend 2023 needs and I’m prepared to be that audacious person trying to start the wave at a 18,000 attendance Lions game. #vibe

The new customer service / returns system is buggy and seems to exasperate customers. Also difficult to find certain smaller items that are not stocked with like products.

As always the food wait takes long but their food is pretty good. Seating is plentiful. Ikea showrooms are awesome. It helps you get inspiration for your own space. You also see all the new stuff that they make.

When choosing furniture, being able to try the thing you're supposed to buy. Testing how soft, hard, things are. Touching the material is also super important. I also like seeing how big/small things are. I want to see what things go along with each other. The finish is also important. You'll be able to see for yourself if the paint, veneer, glossy, or glass is something to your taste. Images and videos sometimes don't do the same justice. Some things look good in photos and some things look better in person but aren't as good in person.

At the store, when you get tired since you can sit down on their displays unlike some places where they say don't sit down or lie down. You're able to try the real thing. They have relatively affordable furniture and some pricier ones so there's at least a range of choices.

They also have cheap plants~ but I killed two succulents I got from there.

The food section at the end is nice but it would be awesome if they added signage that they can do self checkout in the snack area. Cause there's normally no one in the check out area in the frozen foods.

It can kinda feel like a maze when you first navigate there and are not familiar with the shortcuts you can take from the start to the end. So if for some reason you wanted to go to the bathroom you have to be good at spotting the signage. Clean bathrooms though~

And there's a place where you can leave your kids, valuables, with plenty of parking.

The staff at IKEA is super friendly and helpful. Answered all my questions and helped me with finding the right items.

I had a most odd experience at the returns desk. I had 3 items to return so I signed up to hold my place in line and went to purchase my 3 replacement items. When I returned, it appeared that my name had already been called, and I had missed it. I waited until one of the return clerks was available, walked up to her counter, said that my name had been called, that I missed it, that I was #1 on the list, and what should I do now. At this point, I had not yet received a text. I was not annoyed, upset, or in any hurry. I simply wanted to know how to proceed.

Employee Chitra took an unusually loud and aggressive tone, barked at me to go back in line and wait my turn, and hollered that I was texted and missed my name. I was taken aback and perplexed with the unprofessional, rude, and inappropriately assertive tone. All I did is make an inquiry as to where I should go. Employee Chitra was courteous with the customer before and after me, yet was unduly sharp, loud, and disrespectful when addressing me. At this point, I had still not received a text, although my name was still #1 on the list.

Rather than calling me to her counter, employee Chitra took person #2 on the list. After a few minutes, employee Ellen called me over and processed my simple return. This interaction was as expected - appropriate, efficient, straight-forward, and pleasant. It is at this time that the text came through. I showed it to employee Ellen who apologized for employee Chitra's behavior. I told employee Ellen that she had no reason to apologize to me, that her service was absolutely on-point, and it is employee Chitra who should be apologizing. Employee Chitra was at the next station, ignoring me and her colleague.

Prior to leaving, I told employee Chitra that I would write a review commenting on her horrible handling of the customer. She responded that she was happy and welcomed the review. Employee Chitra's judgement of when to use an aggressive tone and when to speak in a normal voice falls short. Until now, all service personnel I have observed and dealt with at IKEA have been exceptional in their communication, willingness to answer questions, and ability to assist the customer. It is precisely this that makes shopping at IKEA a pleasant experience. Employee Chitra is an anomaly.
