Staff are accommodating and treat you like gold! Who knew shopping for glasses was so fun?

I recently purchased a pair of glasses at Specsavers Woodgrove. The experience was great! The young ladies that worked with me were all knowledgeable, helpful and just delightful people to deal with! I was also impressed with all the latest eye testing equipment that they have in the store.

Daleen was just an amazing worker at this store, beyond helpful and friendly, walked in not knowing what I wanted at all and left in 10 minutes with 2 new pairs of perfect glasses at a amazing price!

Expert optical care followed by excellent service, and good products at a reasonable price. Very happy with my new glasses. I will be back whenever I need prescription sunglasses, or prescription renewal. In the past I paid over twice as much for disappointing low quality frames from a high profile optical services store. So much better at Specsavers!

I had a wonderful specsavers experience! I never would’ve gotten glasses if it wasn’t for the great prices and expert frame style help from Raylene. My halo accuracy has gone up 20% since getting glasses.

I wasn't sure what to expect as it is my first Specsavers visit. I was greeted and taken care of by Nichole who spent time with me to find the perfect glasses and gave me scans. Dr. Schofield had time for my questions and prescribed the correct lenses.
Absolutely a professional and pleasant visit. Oh ya the price was so much better than I thought it would be.

I was at Specsavers this morning to get myself lenses and must say that my experience was beyond awesome!

Ellie and all the other staff were extremely professional and friendly. If you are looking to get frames / glasses, this definitely has got to be the place you would want to stop at in Woodgrove mall.

The staff took the time to explain the various options to me and for someone who has been wearing glasses since forever, there were several new learnings on how they set lenses, alignments and measurements using software, to ensure a perfect vision. I was also quite glad that all the staff were seeking to provide solutions and never once looked like they were trying to sell something to me.

Over and above, and having seen that the frames that I am using currently did have several alignment issues as well as severe wear and tear, Ellie helped transfer my current set of lenses onto a different set of frames at no additional charge!

Something like this is truly is what defines customer experience and would definitely be another reason, on top of the excellent customer service, that would make me want to come back and also why I would be recommending Specsavers to friends and family.

I went in yesterday for an eye exam as I was concerned about the flashes of light. Ashley chatted with me and calmed me down during the initial tests and scans- I have bad anxiety and she really helped me, especially since I was a couple minutes late. If you have anxiety, you know you have to arrive early or you get sick. Dr.lan Scholfield gave me the bad news about my scans and got me in to see an eye surgeon for urgent care right away. I’m now waiting for a CT scan to see if I have a brain tumour. If not, a spinal tap. Much fun. You guys really helped me when I was let down by the hospital. I appreciate it so much.

Amazing service. Went in to get my daughter her first pair of glasses, the lady helping us informed us of an amazing deal of 2 pairs 100$ with prescription included. She then spent time helping her try on different pairs and finding the perfect fit. Truly treated my daughter as the main customer and listened to her opinions. Will be going back when she outgrows these!

The level of customer service that I received was truly exemplary, I cannot stress how much I have already recommended you. My visit was caused by a crazing in my sunglass coating which I purchased from Image eyewear last year. As it was not possible to repair the glasses under warranty (brand no longer stocked), I was offered two pairs of sunglasses as warranty replacement. This was amazing customer service! I have already raved about you all on social media! I will most certainly be coming back to Specsavers for all my future eyeglass needs.

Specsavers for their optometry services and eyewear shopping was the best experience I’ve had in a long time.

I brought my son for an eye exam and we were seen on time and never spent more than a few minutes waiting for the next person or test. Other places we’ve been have spent up to an hour waiting. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.

The prices are super competitive, even for contact lenses (I normally buy online but specsavers beats online prices I’ve found).

My son ended up losing a contact lens and they gave us a spare set on top of the trial pair he was already given.

Specsavers at woodgrove mall in Nanaimo is a top notch business. Dr. Ian Scholfield and the eye care professionals he has working with him is a fantastic team. Everyone there is very knowledgeable and super nice. I have been going to Dr. Scholfield for 5years now since I started having vision problems, he is very knowledgeable, well spoken and a absolute professional. After every visit I leave with the knowledge of what is going on with my eyesight because Dr. Scholfield explains everything so well. Him and his team has gone above and beyond helping me get fitted for contacts and gifting me trial contacts so I can find the absolute best product for me.you can't find service like this nowadays, hands down the best customer service I have ever received

I brought my own prescription, however in future I would get my eye exam at specsavers. They have the same equipment as my own optometrist, Plus I was informed no charge for eye exam for seniors which I am. Another bonus is how through Krissy was making sure my fit was accurate.

I was really happy to see Specsavers open their doors in Nanaimo as I have previous experience with them from the UK. Every single staff member was friendly and efficient in every interaction, and also very patient and honest (very important) when I was choosing glasses. Ian Scholfield the eye doctor I saw was very knowledgable and he caught an anomaly in my prescription that another eye doctor had missed just months earlier. I can see perfectly again thanks to getting this second opinion. Unbeatable prices too.

My young son has awful astigmatism. We need his prescription updated yearly because of it. Having newly moved to Nanaimo we went to see the local branch of our last optometrist, and ran into the all too common upsell.
So in my hunt for a new optometrist, I ran into Specsavers. Book an appointment with a professional and helpful man, appointment was within a few days of my call. When we arrived we were quickly helped even though they were visibly busy, and accommodating to my eldest child along for the ride.
So far so good!
Quickly we met up with the optometrist, Dr Scholfield. He made my son feel at ease, and really took the time to ensure my son had the correct prescription, using clean and modern equipment, with a great bedside manner.
He also spent more time explaining to us about my sons condition than any one else we had seen. He knows his stuff and he wants his patients to understand, too. I find that rare in a lot of medical situations this day and age. The man found his calling, he really seems to care about eye health.
So we wrap up with him, onto the glasses purchasing.

I’m kicking myself for not remember her name, but she was great. I’m not made of money and she helped me get the best glasses for my son within my budget. They had lots of affordable options and didn’t push upgrades that were out that spectrum. Friendly and helpful from beginning to end.

Overall, I’m super happy. For the first time I didn’t feel like my son’s eyesight was a luxury, and that is super important to me. They deserve their five stars.

The staff and optometrist at Image were excellent to deal with. Very helpful and personable. I would recommend them to anyone wanting either an optometrist or a new pair of glasses. They have a great selection and will be moving into a new location to provide even more exceptional service.

Bought and paid for my 2 set of lenses in July, we r now on Oct’/1 and still waiting for them to get them right, to top it up they said I only have 5 days left on the 90days to remake them if anything is wrong. I told them I have paid since July big bucks and I haven’t received them doe them to tell me this and they didn’t care. They give excuses but don’t care that they’ve taken the money but service hasn’t been given for a warranty or time for repairs to expire. On the customer side some are friendly, some are with attitude. I wouldn’t buy glasses here again, they’ve done this to me twice and I think that’s more than enough. Not worth it, and not taking responsibility with their issues rather they put it on the client to lose the time and warranty for mistakes to be redone and actually count FROM when the client actually gets the product paid for not to their convenience. 3 month and don’t have my 2 prs of glasses and giving me different excuses why is not done or that things are different now.

Friendly staff and both pairs of prescription glasses, regular progressive's and sunglasses progressives were tailored to the specifications my ophthalmologist prescribed. After service frames adjusted any time no charge. My wife will be going here in the future as well.

I felt that my experience was entirely positive. Attentive and upbeat, helpful staff and great service. The choices available in frames were contemporary and numerous. When I received my glasses I didn’t have to sit through an adjustment appointment…. They fit well and I can see perfectly. In my glasses-selection-journey I have ordered several sets of glasses from two different companies online and sent them all back…I’ve been to a few local dispensers as well and been very dismayed with their selection, service and prices.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. The variety of frames to choose from was great and the desk that I got was fantastic! I was also able to have my finished glasses sent to me in Victoria and the staff in Victoria were the same as Nanaimo! I will go back when the time comes and I will recommend Image to anyone looking forward good service and product.

The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I got two pairs of glasses for less than the cost of one pair at the competition.

The optometrist here is wonderful and did an amazing job but I ordered my contacts here as well and 3 weeks go by without them showing up, no one called me to tell me they were on back order or I would have purchased somewhere else seeing as I'm on my last pair and they have expired. Total lack of communication and ultimately care as eye sight is a basic human need and a requirement for daily function. I would not order from them again.

Update* they ordered me some trials contacts to last me until the order comes in and I really appreciate how quickly they were able to help me fix this issue. Really good customer service

Bought sunglasses 1.5 years ago, great price and good service. Now the tint has cracked and is wearing off the lenses. Lenses are stored in a case all the time, no damage to them. There is no warranty on my lenses, so they won’t fix them. What seemed like a good deal at the time is now a headache as the sunglasses are unusable.

I bought a 2 pairs of glasses a few months ago (a good deal too), and brought them in to be re-fitted. I was helped quickly, the associate was confident and competent. A second associate came in and was able to help on my 2nd pair of glasses, and the whole scenario took less than 10 minutes.
I appreciated the great service, and seeing the employees working together. I would recommend Image Woodgrove to anyone.

Went in to get prescription replacement lenses for my Ray-Bans and dealt with Alex who was very friendly, personable and efficient. She told me it would be 2 weeks to get them in. 2 weeks to the day I went in to see if they were there and they had just arrived and I dealt with Jaren who said to leave them there and he would have them ready in an hour. Sure enough they were and they were perfect. He even tightened them a couple times to make sure they felt the same as when I brought them in. Both Alex and Jaren were very friendly, polite and answered all my questions and to top it off they were $180 less even with the 2 year scratch warranty than another place had quoted me. Very satisfied, will definitely be back and recommend!

Very bad service! Sales staff would not listen when asked a question and would say yes. When had sale, every question that was a yes was a no. Free lenses only have a $20 value. Then sales staff is rude. My family left only to have another customer come and tell us how bad the service was they received. Wrote complaint to head office and CEO. Received zero response. Then I read these reviews.interesting they take the time to comment on EVERY positive review. More interesting is they do not have the customer service knowledge to resolve the issues with the people who have had bad service. Seems to me like they do not care about the customer. Do yourself a favour and go to a reputable company that values you as a customer and will tell the truth.

I had 3 awful experiences in this store. One staff member was extremely rude to me. Another staff member accused me of taking his coffee mug, after I Just bought a pair of Dolce Gabbana. Yesterday I went to get a pair of glasses fixed. The manager was on the phone looked right at me and ignored me. He stayed on the phone while I waited, did not acknowledge me and there was no one in the store. I just left and won’t be going back.

I brought in frames and Image did the lenses for me; I was told it would be about 10-12 business days and I had them within 3 days!
They have absolutely awesome customer service and I will 10/10 be going back again:)
The guy with the longer hair; in a low pony tail with coloured lenses is a rockstar and definitely deserve a raise! If I could have poached him to work for me, I would have. Exceptional customer service.

I was hoping to take advantage of the two pairs of glasses for $277.special deal but by the time I was done the price was over $700. I did choose the transition lens on one set and would expect to pay more for that but it seemed that there were so many add-on charges. Now after ten days my eyes have not adjusted to the glasses but have received several requests for a review so this is my story. The staff there is friendly.

Can’t believe I’ve been overpaying for glasses all this time! I absolutely love my frames and was quoted $170-$200 everywhere else to replace JUST the lenses. I went to Image and paid $59 to update my prescription. Definitely buying my next pair there.

Ordered a simple pair of Rayban rimless glasses and got them in early January. Two weeks later: frame detaches from lens. The store does a simple fix - that lasts a day. I take them in to have them repaired again.and they sent them away. 'Usually a week' they said. That was late January. A month later. 'order in transit' with no further details. No apparent local management. Just a shrug and the 'i am just a salesperson' line, with a promise to pass my concern on to the manager in another city. The glasses were not cheap.just cheaply made, and sold by a retailer who takes zero responsibility. Want good glasses and someone to stand behind them if there is a problem? Shop elsewhere.
