I can't say enough wonderful things about Independent Goldsmith and particularly about Tony. I originally found them when I was looking to have a simple repair done on my engagement ring (which had been purchased via another jeweler), little did I know that they would end up being the ones to reset my ring and give it new life after a terrible experience with the jeweler I had purchased it from.

I was beside myself when my engagement ring was continually damaged because of the poor craftsmanship of the business I bought it from. I brought it to Tony and asked for his help and from the first moment that we discussed the project he made me feel SO incredibly confident that he would help me and bring my ring up to the standard I always hoped for. Tony had me come in to review a physical mock up of the new setting, showed me the designs in 3D on his design software and made sure I understood every step that he was taking to deliver me the ring that I wanted.

When he called me to tell me that my ring was ready (ahead of schedule) I was so excited to go in and pick it up. The ring looked better than it ever had before and even better than I could have imagined. I was so relieved and grateful for the work that Tony did for me. He continuously made me feel like he truly cared about my ring the whole way through and it showed with the end product.

I took my engagement ring here, which is a 50+ year old ring that my late grandmother wore. I needed to get it sized to fit me, I brought it in and they did same day service for a fee.

With the ring being so old and worn every day, it needed some maintenance. I was worried to change anything but the claws and sides had worn out naturally from being everyday wear. They built all the claws and sides up for me and the ring looks amazing! I’m over the moon that my grandmothers ring fits me, looks great, and I don’t have to worry about losing the diamonds anymore.

I was looking for an engagement ring and I was referred to Tony and Independent Goldsmith. From the first visit, Tony was accommodating and assuring. He didn't push, but instead made sure he understood what I was looking for. All I had was a photo reference of the diamond, band, and style. Tony said he'd match the price of the diamond from my reference and that he'd be able to custom make exactly what I was looking for. I had about 3 weeks from when I planned to propose and when I asked Tony how long it'd take to get done, he said 4-6 weeks. He read my face and asked when I needed it by. I told him that I had about 3 weeks and he said that it was no problem and he'd have it done by that week. When I went in to pick up the ring, I didn't know what to say. The ring Tony made was better than the photo I showed him When Tony showed me the ring, he mentioned that when he finished it and showed it to the staff, even they were wow'd by the work Tony did. To top everything off, my fiancée loves the ring!

The whole experience from my initial visit, to checking out the diamond when it arrived, to picking up the diamond was effortless. Tony and family are kind and accommodating and not pushy. They treated me like a person and not a potential client. Tony's a master at his craft and when I thanked him and showed my appreciation for getting it done when I needed it, he said "it's ok. That's my job. " It wasn't his professionalism that struck me at that moment, but that it was sincere and that he genuinely cares for his clients.

I needed a Heavy comfort fit 6mm gold engagement ring and after searching all around downtown for a goldsmith that was willing to show me the materials that would be used, and tell me a little bit about the process. I found Tony at Independent Goldsmith, he fulfilled all my requests, and he was a delight to work with on my special project. The ring came out better then I could have asked for. My partner and I went in today and had a LOVELY time! The rings are stunning, they were SO helpful and educated us around what we should look for, and we never felt pressured for anything. They are absolutely wonderful. We will be going back for all our jewelry/watch needs! They fail to mention that many of their rings are HAND-MADE. Excellent craftsmanship, design and sense of proportions when designing any jewelry. I trusted Tony with my most precious peaces. He is a real master in his work.

The lady is very passive aggressive and rude. She claims to be a Christian too. If you are religious, then you should treat everyone with dignity and be fairness. She kept on complaining about wanting more money after the deal was agreed upon. Tony also kept on complaining about wanting more money too. They are very rude and stressful to deal with. Initially, they pretend to be nice and helpful, but eventually their true self comes through.

Tony worked on a custom piece of mine and finished it very fast, and did a great job on it, they have a wide selection of quality jewelry and have very friendly staff, i will always recommend this place for anyone looking to do anything jewelry related. Although the lady that helped me is polite, I'm not happy with my purchase. I bought one of the most expensive Titanium Citizen Watches, $1000 and when they sized it for me they damaged it. The guy that sized it knows he did it and they didn't tell me about it. I can't trust them anymore.

As my rings needed to be enlarged, my husband and I decided that we would also update my wedding rings by adding diamonds to the engagement band and replacing the 4 diamond chips on my wedding band with micro pave. We had never done anything like this before and I was really nervous about it. Tony spent time with us, answered all our questions, and showed us styles that would enhance my solitaire. He provided sound advice without being pushy. Once we reached our decision, he carefully and throughly explained what was involved in the process and even drew a diagram to illustrate the end result.
