Indian Aroma Restaurant

The masala chai and gulab jamun combo is the best with proper indian style aloo kulchas which if you one then the taste of it will make you eat more.

Decided to try Indian Aroma after walking by it a week ago after never noticing it before.
I was the only one in the restaurant @5: 30, but it’s January and most restaurants are like this everywhere after the holidays.
The panner tikka masala was delicious, service was great.

Couple mentions, the smell, it’s not at all appealing when you walk in the restaurant - it’s a mixture of air fresheners, old food smells and musty air…
The restaurant desperately needs air circulation and fresh air…

Secondly, the cook who made my food, sat down behind me continually snorted his nose, snorted up the snotty phlegm and coughed up really gross sounds…
That was a huge turnoff for me.

I ended up getting my food to go, I didn’t want to listen to that behind me.

Would I go back, yes, just not to eat inside, I would do take out only.

I went to this restaurant a few times with my friends and we tried different items each time. We all liked everything we had there. I also ordered deliveries from the restaurant, which I enjoyed as well. I've been to several Indian restaurants in Canada, and this is definitely one of the best among them.

We were a little skeptical when we first entered as the interior is a bit dated and needs some renovations. But hesitantly ordered some appetizers samosas chaat and aloo tikki, and samosa for our 2 year old. Service was excellent and food was so good, we then had goat curry in main course, and were very happy with the quality of the food. Price is very reasonable and staff are very polite. Totally recommend checking this place out for dinner.

Taking a off for bathroom facilities, need a little TLC.

I WAS SO HUNGRY AND I AM VEGETARIAN, I ORDERED FOOD AT AROUND 10: 00PM, ORDERED 2 NAAN AND VEG KORMA, AND THEY SENT ME LAMB AND RICE, I WAS WORTKING AND I DID NOT OPEN THE FOOD TILL 01: 00PM THATS WHEN I REAHCED HOME AND OPENED THE FOOD AND THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULUOS I WILL NEVER IN MY LIFE WILL DINE OR NIEHTER WILL SUGGEST ANYONE, IF YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO DO THINGS THEN CLOSE IT IF YOU DONT HAVE ENOUGH STAF THEN CLOSE IT IF YOU ARE NOT EDUCATED ENOUGH TO TAKEE THE RESPONSBILITY THEN CLOSE THE PLACE. Food was okay, service was really sluggish. Not going again for dine in as it was a poor experience.

Stopped in for a second time for lunch with a friend - really enjoyed their Chicken Jalfrezi and Beef Korma - great dishes to share!

Lovely service & people, would definitely recommend! Went in to ask for some garam masala and kasoori methi, and they were so helpful and even gave me some advice! Love love love <3

Actually, this started out a bit weird. We were seated and the gentleman took an age to take our order. Then in the middle of doing so he went to get a pen because the order was a bit long.but then decided to watch TV instead, before returning - I swear - about three minutes later. I watched him come back and simply grab the pen from the desk in front of him. Clearly we were way down on his list of priorities. Maybe his mother was on TV.

Once our order was taken, the food was rather prompt. And it was so good it was just bizarre. It was utterly bizarre how food could be so perfect. The flavours and spices in my chicken mango and my wife's fish kadhai were beyond what can be said with a rating, the naans were fantastic - beautifully textured (and big!) - and even the rice was especially good. I've had a lot of Indian food in my life; this place ranks number 1. The guy could have thrown it at me and I still would have given it five stars.

Even the lassis were lovely.

Looking forward to going back, but must remember to bring my own toilet paper. They didn't bother with it. Thankfully I checked first and there was no catastrophe.

Service was great, super friendly and helpful with menu questions. Was pleasantly surprised to see the variety of vegetarian options here. I had the vegetable manchurian, garlic cilantro naan and spinach paneer naan and it was all so good! Presentation was super nice and taste was perfect, I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to come back.

The Lamb Rogan Josh and the plain naan bread is consistently outstanding. The layers of flavours in the Rogan Josh sauce tastes so fresh. Easily the best Rogan Josh sauce I’ve ever had. Delicious! The naan bread is also fresh and crisp, with just the right amount of chewiness. So delicious!

My favorite restaurant in Victoria. Their vegetarian options are delicious and the staff is very friendly. Could not recommend more.

Brought me right back to being in a restaurant in India. Great food, friendly service, good vibes, and decent prices. I had the pakoras, Rogan josh and naan. All were really tasty! Will be returning for sure.
