Ordered the vegetarian fried rice mid spicy and chili chicken. Chili chicken texture was mushy and just tasted like salt. Fried rice had a metallic taste. Let’s just say the food wasn’t very good.: (ripped off for $30

The best Chinese food I've had in Vancouver. Very savory. Keep in mind they are only open for dinner and closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Order chilli dumplings and chicken noodles. Overall taste is pretty average but quantity of noodles was good but chicken wasn’t.

Food is super expensive. Customer service is really fast seems like it’s pre made. They just warmed it up. We ordered veg Manchurian dry. Ew! It was so oily because they made it already and just fried it again & was extremely salty.

The food tasted good decided to try this place and the server who took my order forgot to write down one of the dishes I wanted. The server also brought me the wrong dumplings the first time when I asked for vegetarian she tried to give me the chicken ones at first I thought it was just a honest mistake then after that I was waiting for the debit machine and she brought me sweet and sour pork that I also didn’t order. The service was bad and this was my first time dining in also the manger did ask me if I wanted the dish the server forgot to write down made very quickly by then I was half way done my food and no one checked on me once. I’m not sure how things are being forgotten when the server wrote everything done.

I went with my family and all 6 dishes we ordered were delicious! The spice levels and serving sizes were no joke though - be prepared to drink lots of water and bring home leftovers. However my grandfather doesn’t tolerate any spice and they had no problem accommodating him, so it’s no problem at all if that’s not your thing. If it is, though, they brought a pitcher to the table so we always had enough water to cool down between bites. I definitely suggest trying this restaurant!

So recently I tried the food from Indian wok, without a doubt the chicken hakka noodles had the taste + spice level of what you would find in an Indo-Chinese restaurant. The chicken wings, though they were mild spicy, but the addition of spicy paste made it spicier.

They also offer discounts on pick up order.

Tasteless food in the name of Indian Chinese. We ordered basic stuff - chicken fried rice, chow mein, chilly chicken etc.but they managed to disappoint in all dishes. Everything was taste free, greasy, and lacked flavour.

Give it a pass.

The food is incredible. Always hits the spot! We often order Indian Wok for our larger party's at home because everyone looks forward to it that much. Sophia is so warm and friendly, and Ian always exceeds expectations with the flavour in every dish. Very reminiscent of indo chinese from back home. That chilli garlic sauce on the table should be bottled! SO GOOD!

Best place for Indian Chinese. I would recommend chicken chili (dry) with Kolkata noodles. The servers helped me to park too. It also has parking block. Will suggest to call and book the table as place is full between 8 to 9.

I bought a chicken fried rice, shanghai veg chow mien and chilli chicken through delivery partner.
The packaging was good and delivery was earlier than the initial estimate.
The fried rice and the chilli chicken were superb!
The spice blend and heat were perfect.
The Shanghai veg noodles were a thick noodles and I should have researched a bit more prior to ordering and it was mostly cabbage as the vegetables portion.
All said it was a great purchase and will be purchasing from here in the future.

10/10 on service, on food and value.
I would highly recommend it to vegetarians who are looking for alternatives.

A very cosy, friendly place with a lovely owner who helped us throughout and was very pleasant to talk to. The staff were good as well. The food is authentic Indo- Chinese and took me back to those days when I used to have it in India. The vegan options are plentiful and they are attentive to our needs.

Indian Oak positions itself as Indo Chinese. Well in fact what you get is far more superior. The Calcutta Chinese! Love the fusion style of Chinese and Kolkata food.their spice is spot on. I recommend the Kolkata chicken chow mein, the broccoli and green beans, Corn soup (veggie), Ginger beef and their Bombay style garlic fish.

Decided to check out the place after hearing so much about it from friends in burnaby, drove all the way from Langley. Ordered chili chicken, chili fish, schezuan fried rice and Calcutta veg chowmein. Food was very disappointing, no flavor other than just thick coating on the fried chicken and fish. Noodles were good but rice was very dry and flavorless. Icing on the cake was the owner’s attitude who shouted at his help handing over the food delivery packages to us and asked to wait as we were still paying and he hadn’t seen the approved message yet! We were a group of 2 families with 2 girls, not sure how he perceived that we were out there to steal the food without paying him

Paid CAD85 for 5 people. One large soup, one small soup, Chilli dumplings, 3 portions spring rolls, fried rice, dry Manchuria and 4 pops.
Rice portions was huge. Manchurian was nice and crispy, spring rolls were delicious but a little oily, would highly recommend dumplings (momos) and soup was pretty awesome (not authentic Indian style but worth the try)

We ordered hot-sour soup, cauliflower Manchurian, and veggie Chowmein. Every was delicious and Manchurian was out worldly. It very crispier with sweet tangy sauce just like one would expect from a good Indo-China joint.

The only reason I am giving less stars is because we were not served condiments like other tables. And the noodles were undercooked.

The best chinese in burnaby, the staff was so good and were so amazing. If you are vegetarian you must try veg manchurian and veg. Dumplings it was THE best. Must go HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I am so, so happy to have found this place! "Indian Chinese" is a very unique cuisine and this place gets five stars for recreating the dishes you would find in a chinese restaurant in India - hakka noodles, manchurian- you name it. The taste is amazing and the portions huge. But the most outstanding thing about this place is the lady who runs it - she is so warm and welcoming, you feel you are visiting your favorite aunt! Love this place!

The food here was so good! Every dish was a perfect combination of Indian and Chinese cuisine. Service was a bit slow since it's a small family run place. But they made it up by being extremely friendly.

This place has the best Indian chinese food (Hakka).
The owners are super fun to be around.
And their special spicy sauce is the best. I always have that as additional order.

Sophia and the young gentleman behind the counter were so welcoming. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant and delicious, unique food.

Their food is good, we got veggie pakora, a medium rice and two dishes.
We quickly regretted that because it was too much food, we should have gotten the pakora and shared a single dish.
My only complaint, and this is a very me problem, and not an issue with the food itself, when I know something is sweet, my first world white girl taste buds expect very sweet. It was not that sweet, and so I think it was good, but it wasn’t my favourite lemon chicken in the world.

Best indo-chinese food in Vancouver so far. I personally tried chowmein, Manchurian, dumplings and spring roll and very time it tastes consistently good. I Believe this place is really underrated. Very welcoming place.

Food is really delicious and it’s my favourite place for Indian Chinese food now. The owner is very generous and explains you everything if you have any doubts with the menu. Even for takeouts, I call ahead and food is nice, warm and absolutely fresh.

Good food and really amazing staff! Love their Spicy eggplant & green beans & Ginger garlic Chicken. Masala chicken and their dry Chilli Chicken was also super good, Full of flavour.

Really good Hakka Food. Green lettuce and Indian Wok are my go to places for this type of food. You can't go wrong

One of the best Indo-Chinese restaurant that I have found in Vancouver area. I travel at least 40 mins from my place to have a food at this place. This is our all time favorite restaurant for Indo Chinese dishes.

This is one of the best Indo-Chinese places I have been to in Canada! They even take care of the level of spices. The flavour is amazing and I love their chilli chicken. I must say that the kind lady who made my order is a beautiful soul! I had lost my wallet and had ordered already, she made sure I could get a bus by giving me some money and gave me my order as well! She is one of the kindest people I have met. I love the restaurant and the people! Its a wonderful combo!

This is one of my husband's favourite place to buy Indian food. It's not true Indian but it's a a bit cheaper and still good inbetween if you are starting to crave Indian meals. They have good portions but not a lot to make 2 people full.

Spice level is good but not Indian spices level. So make sure that if you do say mild spicey and you are not sure you can handle too much heat then just tell them to put on the side or go mild.if you love the taste on Indian spices like Bombay then I recommend go higher spice.

Asians do operate and manage the place but I have not seen the cook yet so I can't say it's fusion food like Chilli Pepper House. So far Indian menu is still solid, don't expect it to be like Saffron either.

There is dine in but we mostly do take out bec there's not much space. If you do some in here order the flaming desert, it's a treat for the eyes and good experience to see.

No washroom allowed since the cashier is already blocked off from everyone else for sanitary purposes.

We will truly buy here again, no doubt about it out go to take out place.

Good Indian Chinese food in Burnaby Metro town area. The taste is quiet close to Chinese food you get in India. They don't have much of seating place and mostly do takeaways. Their chilli Chicken and Hakka noodle combo is good to try.

Great staff and the food is delicious. The flavours are very unique and dishes are always fresh.

Simply amazing Indian Chinese food. Tried chilli garlic vegetarian dumplings, vegetable manchurian and vegetarian szechuan rice. It was just delicious. Would love to order again. Although it's only available on doordash. Quality and quantity are too good. Price is reasonable too. My order sufficed two meals for two people.

Here is my review based on my experience for the entire last year:
Bygone are the days when the food was good and prices were reasonable. Now you end up getting hastily and poorly cooked food for prices you would pay for a white table cloth restaurant. Owners interest in customer seems to dwindle and have become more focused on customer wallets.
Let them know you don't want your food drenched in MSG.

This was my review 4yrs ago with 5* rating. Best service and amazing food at bargain prices. Always consistent since past 5+years I've been coming around. Take the dare and try the homemade hot sauce and let your taste buds take you to mew places. Must try!

Called in an order to go and the service over the phone was amazing. Made perfect suggestions and made sure we got what we wanted! On arrival the food was ready and fresh and our server/front staff person was so sweet and nice. Very delicious - this was our first time but we will be back for sure:)

We ordered Manchurian chicken fried rice, chicken soups, other chicken appetizers and fish items, interestingly, none of the items are near to Hakka style, Instead of giving 15% off on the order, owner need to find a decent chef who can make good Hakka food. I wonder and started thinking probably the reviews are either fake or the restaurant chef was changed recently. Why Manchurian chicken fried rice has the Manchurian name when it doesn't have any Manchuria or taste of Manchuria? Other chicken items are just as blend and tasteless. I would not recommend anyone to go with Hakka expectations, this is no Hakka nor Indian nor Chinese style. Expect some tasteless less quality food and you wont be disappointed.

We’ve been visiting this restaurant since almost 4 yrs. Their food is a great blend of indo-chinese tastes.

Indo-chinese food is one of the most popular street food in India and Indian wok has done a pretty good job of being as close as possible to the flavours and taste.

Chinese Street food in India is much more spicier but after travelling in couple of countries and having food in different Indian & Chinese restaurants, I feel Indian wok serves a much more authentic fusion of both cooking styles. You can always spice it up with extra hotness, if you want.

Also, Sofia is an amazing host. I always feel good while visiting the place and the vibes it gives me. Restaurant is a bit small but a really nice family dining place. I really like their hot sauce/chutney as well.

I won’t say the restaurant is perfect. But they do their best to make every customer feel comfortable and serve good quality food. Few hiccups don’t take anything away from their well deserved 5 stars.

I will keep going back to this restaurant, not just for their food but also for their good service.

Amazing food with fresh ingredients used! Pricing and portion sizes are also spot on. I've had quite a few things but my favourite is the Hakka noodles and masala fish.

If you’re craving some bomb Indian Chinese food this is the place to go! Ian and Sophie are amazing people and my family has been coming here for at least 5+ years.

The ginger beef is incredible (especially extra crispy) the hot and sour chicken soup has the perfect amount of sour and spice. If you’re wanting a bit of a kicker definitely add their home made chilli sauce.it’s to die for!

Now is the time to be support local and family owned businesses. Sophie and Ian are incredible and work so hard! I’ve brought all of my friends and family here and never once have we left feeling anything less than utterly S A T I S F I E D!

The spicy eggplant and green bean dish is so good! Perfectly charred and well seasoned. Also a great variety of fried noodle and spicy dishes that we love. This restaurant is very clean and the staff are super friendly!

A have loved this place for a long time and the owner is fantastic. So quite sad that food quality has gone down so much over the last one year.

I live a block away from the restaurant and this has been my go to place for the last 3yrs. I had noticed earlier the food quality seemed different when dining in vs take out. Take out being not so good. But with covid my last few takeouts have been terrible. The food quantity is a lot so, usually I have leftovers but off late I can't eat the leftovers without fixing it. Just thinking about eating the leftovers makes my hunger go away.

Truly sad, I won't be going back here anytime soon. Will give another try once dine in starts.

We ordered this food with DoorDash. I was hoping it’s Indian style Chinese food. After eating first bite we came to realize this is waste of money. If any one from Mumbai or from Gujarat, you don’t wanna order this or try you are not gonna like this. By the way, we ordered veg Manchurian and veg noodles. I never had this bad indian style Chinese food. Sorry but it’s true

The food is absolutely delicious and fresh. Sophia and her staff are warm and welcoming. Being a vegan, I loved how they were so accommodating to my needs. The ginger garlic tofu is my absolute fave! Would highly recommend this place for an amazing dining experience of indo-chinese cuisine! And they have the yummiest chilli sauce that they make in house that just makes every dish even more perfect!

This place is great! Their food is amazing. They make really good indian style chinese food. Everything we ordered was tasty and delicious. The server was really and recommended a few dishes for us that did not disappoint. It's a small little place, can get packed quickly but still worth it. If it is too crowded, I'll just do take-out. Their food is spicy but you can ask for mild spiciness. Note, some dishes are only offered and come spicy, ask your server for non-spicy options. If you like Green Lettuce and Chili Pepper House, you'll love Indian Wok. Would recommend this place to others, you won't be disappointed with the food.

Excellent Food but overcrowded. People come in waiting inside the restaurant waiting for a seat right in front where you are eating. They need to get a bigger place to accommodate and better to open before 5 pm.

What a horrible experience! We had a take away yesterday. Sweet and sour fish was tasteless, veggies were greasy, naan is not a home made and butter paneer was just ok. The worst part that I found a huge piece of plastic in my dish (picture is attached)! Good for them that I've noticed it before putting it into my mouth. The inspection should be done ASAP!

This restaurant opened up beside my workplace years ago. 2013 I think? I visited nearly every day for lunch and the food was always excellent. Whenever a friend or family comes from out of town I like to bring them there. You can tell this family-run restaurant takes great pride in their work and really pour their heart into the dishes and their hospitality.
I tried 7 dishes, 2 soups and 2 desserts so far. The IWOK chicken is particularly popular among my friends.

The ingredients taste fresh and are clearly purchased daily unlike frozen pre-prepped foods found in other restaurants. The sauces and spices are a delicate blend between Indian and Chinese cuisine and all dishes have a pleasant aroma from cooking on high heat.

The meat dishes have a generous portion of both meat and vegetables for a well-balanced meal. There are some excellent vegetarians options as well.

The lunch specials are definitely under-priced for the portion size and they all come with rice and your choice of soup. As a guy who eats more than average I always leave full, and often take home.

Spiciness can be easily modified so you can enjoy each dish at your comfort level.

The desserts are exceptionally tasty. I recommend the deep-fried banana and ice cream OR the flaming ice cream - a delicious sweet donut-like cinnamon ball encasing a scoop of ice cream.

The customer service is above and beyond what is expected for a restaurant. They owners really treat you like a guest in their home. The staff are attentive, humble and make their best efforts to seat and serve you quickly, which is surprising for how busy this place get during the day.
Water, tea, and napkin refills magically arrive whenever needed. The wait for your dishes is very reasonable and always arrives hot. Staff are friendly but never aggressive or entitled and I am amazed at how the owners can remember so much about my preferences and personal details. They come out and chat with guests on a regular basis.

The restaurant itself is kept very clean. Accidents are quickly picked up, and I never once encountered a fly or stray hair, despite my many visits.
The decor is basic - cozy and comfortable but no particular style. There are design elements representing Chinese and Indian culture. Parking options are fairly limited at the back of the building, but there are other side streets nearby with ample options. There are also take-out options.
There were a few times i showed up and the restaurant was closed - until I realized they take a break between 2: 30-5: 00.

I'll probably regret writing this review, because this hidden gem will become over-packed: P But in all seriousness, the owners truly deserve the credit for building up a fantastic restaurant from nothing and I want them to stay for a long time. You should definitely check it out for yourself!

P. S. I 'm surprised by a few bad reviews in here - I think some people don't understand Indo-Chinese fusion is, assuming its one or the other. I suspect there are a few entitled customers have been taking advantage of the owners kindness and became bitter when they put their foot down.

Editing review as their chef changed. It used to be my favorite Indo Chinese restaurant but now it's not the same quality. Soup was blunt, Manchurian fried rice had no spice, the chicken pieces in the rice plate was like raw not cooked properly had no spices inside and smelly.

Food is good, service was exceptional. Lady working there said she could put less sauce on my food, which made it very personalized. Will definitely be coming back here.

Me and my friend wanted to go to some restaurant, on friday night we decided to go to this restaurant, on fridays this resturant is busy and you have to wait, and wait times was 30mins, we patiently waited until get seated by one of waitress, and then ordered egg rice, veg fried rice and Manchurian, food was good and very good portions.and as a reward for our patience they gave us ice-creams for free.

Favourite Chinese Indian Resto in Town

Hakka noodles just like home, food nostalgia for me as I enjoy the hakka chow mien here like my dad used to make. I like their ginger chicken, fish curry, masala prawns and eggplant dishes. Lots of chindian variety to choose from, always a good time visiting this small place, busy which means good. Nice owners, servers are OK but need reminding of dishes to bring.

Good delicious fusion of indio chinese food, just like people from india like, but operating hours can be worked on as its closed most of the time i try to commute from vancouver to the restaurant location.

The food is delicious. My friends and I were there for dinner Friday, Feb. 1 2019. This was a great culinary experience of Indian and Chinese fusion. Dishes were well presented and generous in size. Friendly staff and lots of take-out customers. I would definitely recommend Indian Wok.

I am a Desi at heart and I am crazy for Indo-Chinese food. Surprisingly, there are not many good options available for this category in Greater Vancouver area. That is when we spotted this little place in Burnaby and the food was as close to the real Indo-Chinese as it can get. Do try their Chili garlic vegetarian dumplings and chilli Chicken. Brownie points for their prime location with parking!

The Manchurian chicken is a popular dish and for good reason - it's very delicious. Same with the veggie stir fry, I liked the variety of veggies in it and the sauce was savoury.
